She felt the pain begin to dull, enough that she could once more think clearly. Well, that was better. Not completely gone, but good enough in her book. Taking the paper towels from him she smiled to his words, nodding softly.
Yes, I would have to agree.
She pressed that paper towel to her arm, letting it soak up the blood which still ran freely and then moved to grab her bag. Slinging it back up onto her shoulder. Shaking her head a bit at the method he used to clean up the blood she had dripped onto the floor, though appreciating the effort just the same.
Though right now she really didnt care to try and do much more than that herself. Besides she had to get back to class anyways.
Thank you Jason.
Smiling once more as she nodded to him and then threw that paper towel she had been using on her arm into the trash.

Shrugging Jason replied to Kevala.
"No problem, but it's not like I did anything special."
Walking over to the door Jason pulled it open holding it for Kevala. Very well mannered for a junkie wasn't he? It seemed that was the only thing his parent ever taught him that stuck.
"Something is bothering me though. Shouldn't you want other peoples blood instead of your own."
He had try to be nice and not ask questions about Kevala's need, but he couldn't help asking that one. It had been in his head since she explained he condition and curiosity got the better of him.

She had started to move toward the door he was now holding open for her. But to his words she would stop directly in front of him now and nod softly
Yes, I should, and I do. But it is common for people with my condition to drink their own blood as a substitute. Mostly due to the fact it is not like there are a bunch of people lining up to be fed from. Heh.
A slight, almost half smile offered. She had to admit it was nice to have somebody ask about her condition instead of jumping to conclusions and making fun of her for it. She had no problem explaining it to him or anyone who would ask....But if they assumed they knew what it was like, she tended to hate them for it. Shrugging softly she would continue...
That is why so many with the condition actually die from it..From what I understand, my birth mother died not long after I was taken away and placed into foster care from taking too much of her own blood. At least that is what the case worker told me right before I got out of the system.

Jason would just nod as Kelava answered his question. It all made sense to him. Like she said, it wasn't as if people would be open to being walking blood packs. And of course if you loose to much of your own blood you'll die. Chuckling a bit Jason spoke.
"Its funny. You except your problem and live with it. I don't and do what I can to fight it. Know what the end result will be?"
Jason would pause, give Kelava a chance to think about it before he answered.
"We're gonna die. You, probably loss of blood like you said. Me, probably an overdose."
That might seem like a strange thing for Jason to say, but he wasn't trying to be a jerk. In fact he admired Kelava for living her life despite her problem. All he did about his was destroy his body with drugs.
Reaching into his back pocket he'd pull out a stack of folded up assignments from his classes. Ripping off a part of one he reached into his pocket and grabbed a pencil. He used the wall a surface and wrote something down. Turning back around he'd hand it to Kelava.
"Here. Fell free to call me if you need something to... help. I gotta go into town. I'll see ya later."
With that he'd exit the bathroom and head down the hall toward the exit to the school. He was done with it for today, beside there was more important business for him in town.

She would take the paper as it was handed to her, folding it and placing it into her back pocket. She simply nodded to his words and then watched as he left. She too slipping from the bathroom and getting a few surprised looks about that one from the other kids. Oh yeah, this was gonna do wonders for her reputation. Like she cared..
Shaking her head she would slip down the hallway toward her next class. Hand pushing back the hair from her face as she did and keeping her eyes down. At least for now, the pain was dull and managable. Only time would tell how bad it would get. She just hoped she could figure out something before she did die as Jason had said and as she knew was most likely.
