(ooc: lost this post twice, first one was better) Gabriel stood there calmly in the wings of the stage the prickling heated sensation building within his spine as he stood at attention expecting anything and everything to go wrong. He’d always been a public speaker, though at such odds he was unsure as to how he could accomplish this. On stage before an entire crowd of his peers, a good large fraction of them wanting him to trip coming out and die. The sudden splotch of the spotlight caught center stage imploring him to come out and do his thing. He wasn’t ready but he knew that this meeting alone would mean far more than just something for him; it was a statement to those people out there in the seats, to show them that fear was nothing of any concern so long as they worked together as one. This was to show them that change would be purely for them, in every sense of the word it’d be theirs. The first step being the hardest of course, Gabriel walked out onto the stage feeling a weight in his feet he couldn’t have ever understood. A brief glimpse of those who were in the seats before the spotlight claimed his vision. A thought crossed his mind suddenly and he could see it all flash before him, his entire school yard past. The first day where he came in acting a bit too big for his britches and hitting on the cutest girl he could find, Emily. Picking out the toughest foe and calling him a rival, David. He even remembered the man who had changed everything for him, Jonathan Winters. Everything was coming to plan just as he’d intended from that solemn day. “Good Afternoon Students of Public High School 259; Today is a day of change, not to be feared or revered as cruel or harsh but to be looked upon as a new day, a day of hope for those who need it most. Now I stand before you not only as your School Captain, but as a student who much like you started out here far beneath everyone else. Afraid of this change, not sure who I knew and who would support me if I’d gotten into trouble, yes I was very afraid and even now I look out into this crowd and I feel fear.” Gabriel started off quickly grabbing the microphone from the podium he stood before. His light feet cascading down from the stage in a slow manner taking notice of each footfall and each drop on that below. Something he knew could ruin him if he tripped. Gabriel stood tall and confidant even in the face of those that would call him foe. “I come to you now as that very same student who entered here before; that same very stupid thick-skulled kid who tried hitting on the cutest girl, who picked a fight with the strongest man here.” Gabriel made a quick glance over to Emily with a smooth smile. “And through it all, the heart ache and troubles each of us suffered through and fought with our heels at the wall how did we come out of it? Together. Together we made the impossible odds miniscule, together as a united body we can make anything seem as though it is nothing.” Gabriel ascended to the stage with a bit of a lighthearted grin on his face. He was confident now. Fear escaped him with a new sense of courage raging in his heart. Head going silent as it was replaced by the smooth rumble of his thoughts. "As it vas ze responsibility of ze American people to begin to govern zemselves az there own country... Zo must our current Student Hierarchy be replaced with a more efficient und effective von.""..A call to arms of ze students... A... 'Militia'." Gabriel remembered full well of what had happened in the past. Undoubtedly it was the words of “Unfettered” which brought this sudden realization; this was his turning point so very long ago. “What I ask of you today is to take this chance with me, to go beyond what it is to be at one side or the other and united as a single bodily empowered student body.” Gabriel towered over the podium now watching from behind it in a sense of expectancy; this was all he could come to hope for. And in the same sense he’d lose everything to it, his power, and his sense of rebellion. They’d truly become something devoid of the Pillar system. “What needs to be done now is an elected party of the people, I give each of you six choices… those whom you choose will become the jury or 259, they have the power to pass judgment on sentencing for those caught on campus abusing their so called power. Though don’t take this lightly, the people hold sole power to remove a council member from the standing jury. As for my own post as well at the end of this current month." Gabriel stood there at the podium still instituting his will but he could hope that in the coming weeks at this school the power’s he yielded would eventually distribute and trickle down the tree of life. Already he’d brought forward clubs and sports teams on the scene. Next was the student elected republic, and then lastly would come the enforcement of the law. Though all in due time.

Kevala had been standing there, offering a smile toward Victor as he took his seat not far from her. She was about to answer his question, had the words already in her mouth when in walked crisy critter boy.
A shudder running down her spine and soon enough she found herself trying to press further against the wall. Of course it was a relief when he took a seat, and more so when Katsuri came in.
Drawing in a deep breath of relief she would allow her attention to shift to Gabriel as he began his speech. Her brow lifting slightly at his words.
She had understood him and his actions as of late. But even she had not been expecting this. A grin curling on the edge of her lips. Well then. It appeared perhaps she could start to try and trust the man after all.
Crossing her arms over her chest she would lean back against that wall. Listening to the talk of an elected republic and a united student body.
Those icy blues scanning the crowd to guage reactions from everyone. She knew this had to be hard for Gabriel. Surely many would be against such a thing. But then, the ones against it would be the ones who did not stand a chance in a fair election of sorts.
She herself was still a bit unsure on the matter. But she was willing to bet it was worth a shot. Not as though things could get much worse around here.
What with fighting in every nook and cranny of this place. People doing as they pleased whenever they pleased. Attacks on those who could not defend themselves. It was chaos to say the very least.
If this plan of his would in some way help put things back on track, then she would owe him an appology for not trusting him. But for now, she waited. Only time was to tell how this would all play out.

"I have a better idea."
Scene would stand from the front row, pushing back the hood that had completely covered his face only moments before. He had been away- away for far too long. This school had begun to deteriorate further, a new gang nearly taking total control. It was disturbing that a man who himself had blown buildings up, who had torn chunks from walls and destroyed people for sport would stand and try to form a thought of peace. Scene was no hero- its why he didn't try to control. He knew he could not rule the school, but he felt that way about everyone. His mask shone brightly in the lights, a small smile on his face.
"See, you talk about forming a new system of order- i say, order is in perception." He began to walk to the stairs. "To America, Order is a president, and individual senetors set up to rule. To Tribes in south America, its a Village chief, and a group of Elders." He walked slowly across the stage, his eyes only on Gabriel. "To Hitler, it was one mans ideals and goals. Order is the way of everything, and its differences in how order is created that constantly causes war." He looked to the crowd assembled.
"Open your eyes. This man fought and scraped his way into the hearts of individuals so he could have power to himself. Certain individuals followed because they thought this guy had the right idea about how to run things." He pointed at David. "This man believes differently- let the Student Hierarchy run the school, and the teachers. His differences in how things should be run clash with the differences of this guy, and so they fight. They both want to rule a single plot of land in thier own way, which is just how every war of the world starts out and becomes deadly."
He turned to Gabriel, pointing quickly before rtracting his hand as he spoke.
"How about no Council." He pointed to David. "How about no Hierarchy."
He held his arms out wide.
"How about no system of control whatsoever!"
He grinned.
"Now, i know the thoughts of most- without control, there is Chaos. Not so. This is a school- you come here to learn. If your in school, then go to class and learn. If you don't then what are you, some power hungry little child who just wants to show a little, insignificant plot of people that you are tough. Fine- do so. I say more power to you- the strong survive by fighting thier way through the foodchain. If a kid gets beat up, he'll get strong, then the strong wont have anyone weak to beat on." He pointed at Gabriel. "You wouldnt be here without fighting! Niether would i! Its the way of the nature to fight, but it is only mans ambition that causes war. If you wish to fight each other, then do so, get your kicks out of your dick measuring. But stop trying to place a system of control on a people that would only benefit without one."
"There are NO benefits to a way of law and order except the benefits that those who hold the power of control will have. I say, free the minds and bodies of those you long to have in your clutches, let them do as they will! In this world, only the strong can survive, and in time, everyone will be strong, and none will have to abide by the wishes of others."
He turned, fully facing Gabriel.
"You, are a fool. So is he." he tilted his head to David.
"You both want control of some kind, and you fight for it. In a way, your both nothing but dictators, trying to place some collar on the free will of others. You both refuse to give the people an option of no collar at all. Hell, they probably don't even understand the meaning of life without one. You say its thier choice, but it actuality, your just giving them a choice between who they want to control them, and what color collar they want to wear."
He leaned in close.
" Take off the collar- then see what happens."

Post by Katsuri Katashi on Oct 17, 2009 0:27:32 GMT -8
Gabriel went into his spiel, and Katsuri listened.. another useless council, and yet, before he could utter his displeased notions, someone else stepped into the light. "Another marionette to the puppeteers?" He commented to himself, leaning there back against that wall, unmoving as he watched them. He was not hard to see, impossible so, but as this boy started to speak of no heirarchy, it would have been as if he had become an inanimate object.
Breathing ceased almost completely, slowing to the point that the hairs length his chest rose and fall were beyond the normal or even trained eye from seeing. He did not twitch, did not so much as blink as those hues locked upon this boy and stared. It sounded. Almost like angels were beginning to sing in their choir, and descend from above.
Gabriel may not have been aware just yet, but he would be aware soon, any sense of locking a leash or there having been one before just dropped to the ground and broke into thousands of tiny splinters. "A man... after my own heart.. such a beautiful sight. " If Leon did not control the chibi market, he would have literally just floated down and clung onto Scene, and yet, he did not, no, he rose from that wall and made way towards the walkway.
"Mm.. well said." This time his voice was above that quiet little whisper to himself, as it seemed he had finally found another that understood how he thought. "For thousands of years, our ancestors lived without so much as a sense of law. Animals still do, and yet we try to consider ourselves better. This man understands the truth, in that just doing rather then running under some bullshit set of guidelines is that path you need to be taking." He was a little awe struck actually, as he wanted to say more. .but the words just did not seem to come.

Mischa listened to Gabriel's huge ass speech. He was getting all to over worked for shit like this.
Guess what they will be doing?
Graduating... getting careers... not worrying about shit like high school "hierarchies". she rolled her eyes and looked over at Reira with a "please don't make me stay here" expression. Though she knew damn well Reira would want to leave...
“And through it all, the heart ache and troubles each of us suffered through...
"Questo aveva girato stupido. Tempo per andare" [This had turned stupid. Time to go] she would whisper in Italian... so as not to have any one hear her disses. "Era una menzogna. Era stupido fin dall'inizio." [That was a lie. It was stupid since the beginning. ]she said with a breathy laugh. After all she was trying to be quiet.
Mischa would leave before Gabriel got to finish his speech. Whether Reira came or not. (That's what she said)

Here we go. Gabriel was once again expressing his desires for the school, his visions of control. It was very typical of him. This was Gabriel after all, the over achiever. Mischa was beside her, speaking her opinion on the matter in Italian. And she couldn’t agree more. Reira was tired of this Hierarchy shit. This was high school. When these people graduated from this school non of this Pillar crap would matter anymore. It was pointless.
“Le persone dovrebbero ascoltare, sembra intelligente. Andiamo il bambino.” [People should listen to that 'no hierarchy' guy, he seems smart. Let's go babe.] Gesturing for Mischa to follow her, the left the building. It’s not like her and Gabriel were friends anyway, so she didn’t feel bad at all. Though, she wished him luck she supposed. It seemed like he needed it. The crowd seemed hard to please.
“So M,” she said casually. “Want to go do something fun?” She was walking in the direction to her ride, her driver was still waiting there patiently. She looked at her watch. Oh hey! Nine minutes had passed! Whoo, she was early!

Sitting there Jason would listen to Gabriel's long winded speech. He wanted to make a jury for 259? Out of everything and every idea he had heard come from Gabriel's mouth that had to be the stupidest one. He acted like the school was a country, but its not. Its just a school. It might be a bit worse than most, but its still just a school all the same.
It wasn't long before people started to speak up in disapproval or just plain out leave. Jason didn't know the first person to speak up, but he had many good points. He was followed by Katsuri who made the same case as the person before him. At the end they were right though.
Gabriel expected to much from the students. If he just let them be all problems in the school would solve themselves. Maybe in a more violent manner, but that just how you had to handle yourself in 259.
Despite how he felt Jason remained silent. After all there was no need to speak up when others were already doing it. Instead he'd just remain seated and watch.

There was, a considerable number of students who started to leave. Apparently, this captain was lacking in the trust he probably claims to have over the School Populace. Through his actions and methods he probably had more or less doomed his so-called "Democracy" to a failure.
Then again, it was indeed too early to tell at this point.
She tapped Drea in the back, right in the middle of Scene's speech. "Wala tayong mapapala rito. [We won't achieve anything here.]" Her ears slightly heard of the mention of a student body with no governance.
Would that be good or actually something of detrimental to the peace of 259?
That depends really. It wasn't a bad idea either. In fact, Emily would vouch for that rather than Gabriel's idea of a Democratic republic through something akin to a bureaucracy.
Ah well.
"'Lika na.[C'mon.]" Emily said to her sister. "Balik na tayo sa klase.[Let's get back to class.]"

This is stupid.....So very stupid... Sorry cutie----UGH!"
Addie had been looking to the stage watching Gabriel as he spoke on stage and as people slowly left the Auditorium....Poor guy, it could just be something no one cared about. She was planning on just staying to humour Gabriel, since she was a friend, but the lurch in her stomach and the sudden need to run decided differently.
Bowing her head for a moment in the direction of the stage, she said a mental apology before.....OH GOD! With that brunette pushed open the door and ran down the hall in search of the nearest bathroom. Perhaps he stomach was making the decision to stay... since knowing her...She'da stood there for a little while longer. But you know, when sickness calls....run....run like hell and pray young make it there.
>______>
Sorry Gabriel.
She didn't stay to hear the end of his speech.....

Drea nodded at her sister's words, unsure of the events taking place before her. What she did know was that they were of no consequence to her. Students were students, and fights would break out regardless of who ruled. There was no need for any of it, she thought.
"Yes," she replied to her sister, following Emily out of the auditorium. "Sabihin sa amin iwan." {iGoogle's translation: Let us leave.}
She had her bag, though she left the box of cookies were it lay. She grabbed a few of the chocolate chip cookies, though. They looked tasty.
As they exited the auditorium, Drea turned to her sister, curious. "Who is he?"

David looked around as nearly every student began to leave. He looked up at the stage, giving a very small smile and a shake of his head before coming to his feet.
Gabriel....what was he thinking?
David didn't even know.
He turned and began to leave, letting the three people on stage talk as they willed.

Scene flicked his eyes over the large man who had come on stage, giving a small, knowing nod of thanks. In his head he said "Hello missing link, how long have you been walking openly in society?" though instead he looked to the people. Everyone began to file out, and he giggled- a strange, high pitched noise.
"See? They care about your ideas for ownership and change even less than we do!" He hopped down off the stage, pointing to the eight foot giant still on the platform.
"You! You interest me. Care to take a walk?

"Take off the collar- then see what happens." Gabriel sneered, he'd ruined everything. Every chance and every hope this school had, with one fated move "Scene" would have completed his mission and thrown the school in absolute chaos. Fool. Gabriel knew there had to be order, he remembered oh so clearly the fated steps he'd taken to get here. One by one he'd planned them all accordingly. The battle at Ground Zero he'd united everyone, those who knew the fate of the future they all sided against him and instantly there was peace in a sick way of looking at it. Well if that was his fate, to become a martyr he'd see things through till the very end. His wrath would become known and dispite hopes of democracy Gabriel could not forget the end goal, Peace above all. *Click* 'You set loose the collar, the beast is released..." Gabriel sneered holding his own collar in his hand. Those Crimson hues burning brightly when the lights faded out and Gabriel saw everything happen in a flash. The ground beneath him burst into flame and he gripped for the back of "Scene's" head. "Take off that mask!" Gabriel snarled. No one was there to see this aside from those who had stayed behind. And he stood a good thirty feet from Katsuri. He would not be stopped, the monster was released. Even if Scene had the opportunity to see this coming the radiation would burn through him easily like a steak knife cutting through butter. Gabriel would crush the back of his head and kick him in the back so that he met the floor on his knees much like that day he'd captured Gabriel and tortured him. "This is the face of the lawless, A fated failure!" Gabriel snarled. (ooc: Okay people still here - Gilgamesh

He didn't hide, he just watched in case if anyone went to hit him, but one problem, everyone was drastically stronger than Gilgamesh.
