Jean had a rather rough day with her first period students. They were all tired and drowsy because, let's face it, it was first period. Students go to sleep late and have to wake up early to get to school on time, and when they're in class, they fall right asleep. And, although Psychology is an interesting subject, Jean realized that students found the history and biological part of Psychology rather boring. She mentally sighed. Half her students fell asleep within the first half of class, and a quarter joined them in the last half. Before class was over, she slammed the heavy text book on one student's desk, right beside their head, and notified that if students continue to sleep through her class, then she would kick them out. Take PE, where you run around, or something.
Of course, that woke up most of the students; others still didn't care. And depending on how they acted tomorrow, Jean would do as she promised - kick those students out without any hesitation.
She desperately hoped that her AP students were in better shape. She took a sip of her coffee, and waited.

Gabriel woke up particularily tired this morning, in absolutly no mood to go to class he got dressed regardless. He'd signed up for this one some time ago and just never seemed to show up. Better things to do? no he was simly busy, okay thats a lie but what are you going to do about it.
A fake smile as he strolled into school an overwhelming calm about him taking time to enter class till he turned the corner catching an attractive teacher before him. His false smile shifted apparently AP Psych could be a bit of fun.
"Good morning."
Gabriel gave a pleasant nod before turning into his seat.

Drea, having woken at the early hours she needed to greet her parents and ensure her own matters were secure for the day, was quite awake by the time AP Psychology came around. Although she didn't typically drink coffee, she did enjoy hot chocolate, and that was what she'd been drinking as she entered the room. She'd quickly finish it, though, and dispose of the paper cup that her cook had been kind enough to pour it into. After all, it meant she didn't have to carry one of the other, more solid, cups around.
"Good morning!" she said brightly to the teacher, a woman that seemed to be at least partially Korean. Her own time in Korea immediately sent her eyes for the traits that indicated that the woman had some Korean blood.
She nodded to the other student - she was pretty sure she'd seen him before... The title popped into her head soon enough. He was the Student Captain. She'd heard some things about him... But still, the strongest lesson in life that she'd learned was to judge things based on your own observations if you had to judge at all.
She set her notebook down on a desk near the door, garnering a seat for her twin sister right away. She'd been elated to hear they'd have a class together. She figured that Emily would be here soon. Hopefully, no one would mistake her for her sister again. Though it amused her, it got old fast.

Biology.
Pharmacology.
Anatomy.
Physiology.
Those were the courses that Emily had taken the past few years, and all considering that she had more or less excelled in all of them sometimes made Emily wonder if she was, at all, worthy of still being in High school. If we were to just measure Emily's ability as a nurse already, she would probably be at par with someone who is at their second to third year of nursing school.
Maybe it was due to Layla's guidance or Emily's insistence and obsession with self-study?
Emily would take a few books by her locker and review her agenda. Ah, she had one more Psychology Class. An AP one. Well, one more class wouldn't hurt really. In fact, it should be fun.
Layla had taught this very class long, long ago on 259 too, right?
... maybe she should consider teaching as well. Hmm...
Basking in thoughts, still unsure; Emily would find her way in, apparently reading a book on Anatomy and Physiology doing a review on the Central Nervous system and the hormones that make the nervous system work.
In general, maybe you could consider that she was probably treating this class as if it were psychiatry. Well, good try I guess?
She made herself comfortable, placing her bag at a comfortable reach by the leg of the student table and started to look around for anyone familiar.
There was Drea, and...
Ugh, Gabriel.
Ah well, would make for an interesting day, right?
[Bah! Sorry. Posted in the wrong thread. I so epic failed.]

There was a smile on his face as he walked into the classroom.. why? Well. He happened to enjoy psychology quite bit, rather he was picking it apart or supporting it, the human psyche was an interesting subject and he always loved getting other peoples opinions on it.. no matter how much he detested otherwise. Walking in, he was greeted by a beautiful young woman as the teacher, Drea, and then her twin sister Emily. Boy. The day was getting better and better it seemed. Goody. He would have slipped his bag free from his shoulders and set it down near Drea. He grabbed hold of a normal seat and a few desks and grouped them together on the opposite side of Drea, settling himself down into the chair after and relaxing back. "Mm. Mornin' ladies." He nodded to them and would have fetched his notepad and a pen, setting them down on the desk. The sounds of Tech N9ne was blasting from his headphones, those Russian tinted camouflage covered SkullCandies. He was all about the music, could not really live without it, and that was no surprise when the one controlling the strings was the same way. He did not have that weird belt buckle or that old coat hanging off his body. The only thing that would have been off would have been that kevlar vest that he was almost never seen without. He turned the volume of that music down, at least until the teacher started class, then he would have cut the thing off.. but until then, no harm in music right?

Why was Alex taking Psychology class again? Oh, that's right, because he signed up for it, that's why. It was in the morning, and he had just woken up. Reaching the classroom, he walked in, his hands in the pockets of his green hooded jacket, a bored or half-asleep expression on his face, whichever was interpreted first, and saw he was the fifth person to walk in. He had been in a Psychology class before back at Public High School #42, so he had some knowledge regarding the subject. He gave a polite nod to the teacher, she seemed to be partially Korean, not that Alex cared, he just wasn't really that curious about it and took a look around at who was in the class.
For the most part, he recognized mostly everyone in the class, except for the big guy, mainly because he didn't know the guy's name. He didn't know Drea well enough beyond knowing she was Emily's twin sister, and Gabriel, well, the two of them had their unresolved differences, so he glanced briefly at the both of them before taking a seat beside Emily, placing his navy blue backpack down on the floor beside him, and pulled out his binder and pencil bag, as he waited for class to begin, proceeding to stare out the window, his chin cradled in the palm of his hand.

OOC: Apologies for the late reply. =)

The bell rung and the students chose their own comfortable seats. One thing Jean noticed from the roster was that it was not particularly too big of a class size, but not too small either. About fourteen students in her AP class, which was more than alright with her. This kind of classroom setting allowed for Jean to get to know her students individually. Test the waters, see how much the class is willing to participate in joint activities that take place after school. Field trips, although not frequent in this class, would always be a plus-- especially to the art museum, where the paintings held a lot of great perception-related pieces. To the mall, to analyze people, and, in this class, many movies would be shared. But before Jean got into what they would be learning for the next term, she stood up and walked around to the front of her desk, a gentle smile on her face.
"Hello class, I'm Ms. Beauvais. Before I continue any further, I'd like each of you to grab a book next to the window sill and take your seat. I will be taking attendance, and when I call out your name, please state the code that is written on the side of the book."
The code consisted of a letter and three numbers. For example, S294.
Once it seemed as if everyone had settled down, she would start taking roll.
"Gabriel."
Pause.
"Drea."
Pause.
"Emily."
Pause.
Oh, twins?
"Alex."
Pause.
"Katsuri."
After that was said and done, she would pass out a syllabus of basically when each test was going to be; at the top of the page, however, it was clearly written that each test day was subject to change.
"With this being a college level class, I expect each and every one of you to work diligently. With this being a semi-fast paced, in-depth class, I am available before and after school if anyone needs extra attention.
"Homework will not be given everyday, but when homework is assigned, it will be long and sometimes tedious - which is why I give you more than four days, at maximum, to complete them. For those of you who guessed note-taking from your book as the homework assignments, you've guessed correctly. Late homework assignments will not be accepted. If you didn't do your homework, you get a zero - no exceptions.
"Tests and quizzes will be at least once a week as you see in your syllabus, but you will be reminded days beforehand. Quizzes will be on individual chapters, where as tests will have multiple chapters mixed into it, along with the essay portion that you will see on the AP test in may, if you so choose to take it.
"If you were absent on the day of the test, you are expected to be prepared to take it on the day you return."
"...... Before I continue, are there any questions...?"

Drea nodded silently to herself as the woman spoke, noting the location of the windowsill as the teacher spoke.
She watched as the boy that had entered before her rose to attain his book and read off his code. She was next.
Drea stood and carefully made her way over towards the sill - but still managed to get caught on the corner of a desk. She winced as her shirt made a ripping sound, but promptly moved to tie the rip so she wouldn't reveal any skin. For the slightest moment, she wasn't sure if she was relieved she wore large shirts so she'd have the extra fabric to fix tears or if she hated them for being so large as to get caught on desks.
She got her book, blushing from embarassment, and then read off her book's code.
"S-two-five-nine." she said as she returned to her seat. Next was Emily. Then her sister's friend. Then Katsuri.
Afer they'd all gotten their textbooks, the teacher began speaking again.
"With this being a college level class, I expect each and every one of you to work diligently. With this being a semi-fast paced, in-depth class, I am available before and after school if anyone needs extra attention." Ms. Beauvais began, "Homework will not be given everyday, but when homework is assigned, it will be long and sometimes tedious - which is why I give you more than four days, at maximum, to complete them. For those of you who guessed note-taking from your book as the homework assignments, you've guessed correctly. Late homework assignments will not be accepted. If you didn't do your homework, you get a zero - no exceptions."
Drea nodded at the words. That was a given - homework was assigned to be done at home. She could understand if a family member had died or something, but funerals were for mourning and once those were done, there was still time for homework.
The teacher continued: "Tests and quizzes will be at least once a week as you see in your syllabus, but you will be reminded days beforehand. Quizzes will be on individual chapters, where as tests will have multiple chapters mixed into it, along with the essay portion that you will see on the AP test in may, if you so choose to take it. If you were absent on the day of the test, you are expected to be prepared to take it on the day you return."
And that, Drea believed, was also something to be expected. One couldn't hope to delay a test further after bailing on a test day, whether from sickness or from nerves.
"...... Before I continue, are there any questions...?"
As she herself had no questions, she said nothing. She supposed she'd ask as she got them. The only concern that she had, though, was in regards to projects and whatnot, but she assumed Ms. Beauvais would cover that in the next part of her introduction to the class.

Emily blinked and looked at the books by the windowsill, as the teacher had pointed out. After waiting a bit to see if the other students would stand and get their books, Emily stood and took one book for herself, scanning it a bit as she made her way back to her seat. Interesting methodology...
Then the roll call started. Apparently, Emily had continued to skim through the first chapter, hoping to see what they would be tackling beforehand. Psychology was a rather queer science, especially since it dealt with the human mind, though probably not as insane as Psychiatry. Good lord...
"Emily."
She looked up from her book, "U-uh." she stuttered, scrambling to look at her book. "S-0-1-3"
... Thirteen? Interesting. That number always appealed to her somehow.
After all that shanannigans had been dealt with, Emily took the syllabus passed down to her, reading it a bit and checking if there had been dates that she was assigned to be in the hospital the entire da-- ... Oh, several test days. Just great.
At least, the teacher was considerate in the tests. She'd technically have little trouble with homework, all considering her insane work ethic - something she and her sister shared quite well.
"...... Before I continue, are there any questions...?"
Emily shook her head, continuing to scan the book. She didn't have any questions; right now, at least.

The moment class begun, Alex ceased staring out the window and listened to the teacher, who introduced herself as Ms. Beauvais, and instructed them to take a book from over at the window sill and then take a seat. Since Alex was right by the window sill, all he really had to do was stretch his arm out, and grab a book. Once he had settled back into his seat, Alex scanned through the first chapter, just to give himself a sense of what he was going to be reading. As the roll call occurred, Alex began to lightly read the first chapter, before realizing his name had been called out. "... S-6-5-0." He said, barely breaking stride, as he went back to reading the book. Once that was done with, Alex took the syllabus handed out, glancing over it, noticing that it said that test days were subject to change. That was nice to know, since Alex had recently applied for a job working at a manga store, and would be starting sometime in the middle of the week. Depending on the days he would be working, he might be forced to miss class.
Food didn't grow on trees you know? He needed some form of income to buy his food, either wise he would starve, even though his sister was here, she never really cooked, Alex had actually been the one that had cooked for the both of them when they had been in San Francisco, and a hungry Alex was not a happy Alex. Homework however, was not a big issue, seeing as Alex always did his homework, didn't matter when, he just did it, and he handed it in on time to boot. What teacher could complain about that? As for the notion of tests, Alex was pretty good when it came to studying, partly because he didn't have anything else to do when he was home. At least if he did miss a test, he'd have a chance to take it and get the marks for it, instead of outright getting no marks for it. Alex had no questions at the moment, everything had been pretty much explained and covered, as he went back to looking at and reading the first chapter.

Alexander sat in the back of the class, hunched forward with his fingers steepled in front of his face. It looked as if he was listening intently, and taking in everything. But there was little for his mind to digest, and Alexander was bored--perhaps more than the rest of the class. He found himself hoping he would be able to spend the day in silence, without saying a word. And it looked like today he would get his wish, as his name was not on the roster and he was not enrolled in the class. He hadn't even bought the textbook yet. Alexander wanted to see if there would be any new material; anything he hadn't already learned. It wasn't fair to the rest of the class, really--Alexander's father was a research psychologist and Alex had already done field research himself. What's more he was no idiot, and psychology was his prize subject.
Alexander waited patiently for Ms. Beauvais to move on to the subject matter of the course. If disappointed, he would consider asking her if she needed a TA...

Gabriel leaned back in his chair an easy going spirit to him as what he figured would be the start of an easy class. Or so he'd hoped, psychology had always appealed to him so long as it wasn't superficial sorts. Or for that matter pertained to cramming unnecessary information down one's throat. Then of course she had to say that horrid word. HOMEWORK!
*Head desks*
Gabriel hated homework more than... well more than anything. He'd trade in his soul to get out of it at one point or another. He sighed leaning further back again sorrowfully.
"S-5-5-2"
He'd lean forward resting on his palm attention already starting to drift as he had no questions to bring forth, in fact he wanted out now. The thought formed in his head quickly. 'How do I pass this class without paying an ounce of attention...'
