Otaku.
Would typically be defined as a person who has an extreme like for a certain topic/subject that ends up interfering with what would normally be defined the normal means of living. But how does one define what's normal?
Especially with THIS girl, apparently dressed in a J-fashion inspired set of clothes and otherwise known as Kari Aoyama, the creator of several hit manga in Japan. Yeah.
Emily had dared to enter this room out of curiosity. Lots of cosplay costumes were hung by hangers near the windows as several groups were busy stitching and making more costumes.
"Um, hello?"
The room fell quiet, and they all gasped at the same time.
"OH."
"MY."
"GOD."
"SHE IS PERFECT!!"
Emily blinked. "Excuse me?"
"LET ME HAVE YOU AS A MODEL!"
After further questioning, Emily realized that this anime Club was having a cosplay event for the school's November festival. Oh good lord, Now she has to dress up in costumes.
Nothing she wasn't used to. After all, Emily was working at a Maid cafe and all. By the way, what about that girl that came in right after her?
...
Well...

Colourful papers, with people with interesting clothes and words neatly types out, all things spelled out anime club. There was the odd sign in the halls, many of them weren't in the best of condition. Some where riped whilst others were crumpled, the low whispers and giggles as people passed the signs. Anime club was for losers and the school knew it, sure the odd socially acceptable one would like the stuff, but did they have the balls to go to club? Probably not. A serious bright blue gaze scanned the hallways, the people of 259 wandered the halls freely, making their way to lockers or even out the doors. School was over, the building belonged to the teachers and clubs. For brief times of peace before emptying and once again becoming rampant with students, students roaming the halls unsupervised as teachers paced the classrooms, or prepared in the staff room. The school was silent, outside the walls one could probably make out the faint cries from a fight, the grunts and screams from fighters, and the roar from the spectators as they watched.
Such was life at public high school 259.
The halls were empty once more, only the sounds from outside, the folk in classes, almost silenced by a closed door, and her walking. The brunette slowly headed to the club room, upon turning a corner she was joined by a young girl; she'd go unnoticed until the club chanted. Yes, the girl was short and cute, exactly what an anime club wanted.
Why at a club? Her club failed, only four people showed up, one out of pity. She looked into the classroom, people at sewing machines, various articles of clothing hung proudly, the fruit of their work. Well sewn, vibrant colours, and the designed varied from outfit to outfit. Perhaps it was why her fashion/costume club failed so much. Her straight expression would slowly curl into a smile, she assumed it would be an enjoyable...the anime club. Regardless or not, if the only anime she ever watched was back in Japan on a lazy day...recovering from the attack of the made school girls...
murmuring...... .......
The chatter between the club members was unsettling, they were planning, planning something horrible. The talking, the lack of information given to her, was probably one of the remaining fears that left Addie with next to no friends and a lack of a social life. She looked down at Emily for a moment and then to the faces as they looked at her with horrible intentions...
"You'll be our male model!"
The thing was, they wanted someone short and someone tall, Addie being taller then all the male members was dubbed shortie's prince."Whut?" There was a squee from the girls and even the odd guy. Yes, Addie would be the the prince of a cute little girl..............FML This could be...fun?

Now, Emily had no idea what was going on. All she knew was that she was no sooner carried off to one side of the room where she was apparently ravaged and turned around and around as the overzealous otaku measured her from seemingly all angles.
"Dude, she's perfect!"
"Yeah! With a few centimeters to spare too!"
"Quick! In the dressing room!"
Emily shook her head, "Now wait just a damn minu- Ah! Lemme go!" She struggled. Apparently she wasn't strong enough to pull free; but if she used her full strength, she might hurt someone. That would be bad. "What's going on?!"
"We just need you to wear something, alright?! Now wear this," A dress was tossed to Emily's arms as she was pulled inside, "-- and this --" Then a little garter; "--- and these too --" Then was passed a little plastic bag full of hair trinkets and other such accessories; " -- oooh don't forget these. Please do wear them, alright?"
Then the door slammed shut.
Okay, that was weird. They didn't even tell her or that other girl what the frack was going on, but they seemed desperate and all. Might as well give them the benefit of the doubt and just get it over with, right?
Upon further investigation, Emily would find that the costume that was given to her was a "Princess Sakura" costume. Right from the Card Captor Sakura second movie. Well, they did well on the costume details, not to mention the fabric they used was very regal-like. It was a passable cosplay material, though Emily had seen better, to tell the truth.
"Do you need anything?!" A voice called out. Emily pondered a bit and looked at herself in the mirror. "... do you have a bucket of water, a pail, a towel and brown hair dye?"
"What for?"
Emily sighed, "Hey, you were going to make me cosplay against my will, so that's the least you can do, right?"
Oh boy.
Now, what about the other girl? How's she doin'?

Drea heard squeals - always something she typically avoided. Only... They seemed to be having fun? She was curious. She'd completed all of her work and she heard the sound of loud chattering and the teacher she usually helped was absent. In short? Drea had nothing to do.
She turned the corner just in time to hear someone cry out "SHE IS PERFECT!!"
Drea stopped short, blinking as she stared down the hall. She could see the form of someone standing in the hall - and someone getting dragged into the classroom.
She stared, unsure of what to do. The other person entered the room as well, and for a moment, all was quiet. Then the squealing began again.
Now that her survival instincts had kicked in, she was infinitely wary of what had just happened. Still, she figured she should at least check and see if the person that had been dragged inside was okay. It didn't matter if that person was being attacked or not.
Trauma was, after all, still trauma.
She quietly moved towards the room, her footsteps silent. Soon enough she was peeking through the door and she saw the girl from before - Addie, right? - and her sister--
"Cris?" she stupidly let the word fall out of her mouth.
Unfortunately, she'd been heard. The door was yanked completely open and club members did a couple of double-takes, looking from her sister to her, and back again. Drea felt very small.
"Twins! OMG, TWINS!" someone called out. Drea winced.
"CHI AND FREYA! CHI AND FREYA!!!"
Cries arose again, this time of different sets of twins. Drea gained a distinctively trapped feeling until she heard the names of a set of twins featured in a manga done by her favorite author, "Naoko and Rumiko."
"Ah!" she made a sound as she realized she recognized them. "Kari Aoyama, right? One of my favorites!"
Of course, she had absolutely no idea that her twin sister was actually Kari Aoyama, even as her own alter ego, Sin, mused at the similarity between Kari, Emily's alter ego, and Kari Aoyama. Good thing Drea didn't know about her alter egos, right?

WHAT THE HECK WAS GOING ON?
Addie was confused, the hands of creepy otaku grabbed her arms and pulled her in, dragging her in and measuring her. She was tall, but it would be good...She was magically perfect for the costume! She would be Prince Li...... Thrown in a room and given clothes she was expected to wear. She'd change, going along with the fun, although quite annoyed by their actions..... After all, they were telling her what to wear, but it could be fun; right? RIGHT? RIGHT?.....A long cloth bandage was thrown in....Man was it....BIND WHAT?
Emerging from the room, dressed like a prince.... Her hair tied back and tucked in the back of her shirt, she'd look around as the girls squeed at her. Her chest was confined within medical bandages as she made her way back into the club area...Looking around at all things posted on the walls and the hanging costumes.. All the while feeling REALLY DISAPPOINTED!
"Couldn't I have been someone cute?" She'd ask, still feeling rather agitated playing the role of a man. Yet, at the same time kind of liking it... Though she really wanted to look cute. She'd smile at the girls in the club and give them a little wink, trying to be princely."So, how do I need to act?"
After being pulled aside by a girl and told the character of syaoran, she was ready! Embarrassed, cute, young love...and kind of a jerk sometimes... Not the best description, but she could run with it.... Looking at the rest of the group, she'd tuck a hand in her pocket, looking down at them..."I'll do this..But I want to wear a cute costume too!!" Pouting a little, she'd look off in another direction, feeling weird about what she had said....
There was giggling again and they'd agree to the conditions... But she'd be playing many male characters and only one female....WHICH WAS KIND OF LAME...Well, what could she do? They were in charge!

Emily flinched when someone mentioned the name "Kari Aoyama". God damn, she had fans on here?! Oh, god forbid. Hopefully, she would be able to keep her little secret for a while longer. She didn't need fangirls lurking around the hallways then glomping her every time she's reading books on the library or snoozing by the rooftops... Taking a deep breath, Emily exited the dressing room looking like this. Earning a few squeals from the girls. "OMG!"Apparently it was CLAMP Day, huh? CLAMP was pretty cool, Emily had a little chat with the person named "Mokona". Pretty cool mangaka; had awesome ideas and stories that Emily loved... the whole group itself was quite insane at what they do as well. Emily could understand why many people are fans of their manga. ... but maybe this was a bit too much. She was pushed right next to the girl dressed as Shaoran and laughed nervously as the other girls started to fix their high-end cameras. "Quick!" The leader said, "The backdrops! GET THEM!"Emily laughed nervously and looked at "Shaoran". "Methinks we came in at a very, very bad time, huh?"Looking around further, she saw her little sister. Oh god, not her too. Come to think of it, the one who mentioned her name inside was her voice. Oh god, was she a fan of her manga? ... Uh oh... >_>

Drea managed to escape their clutches - barely. Her shirt was mussed, and she'd dropped her bag by the entrance. As it was, she'd had to fight her way to a corner of the room. With her back to the wall, it was easier to ward off the advances of crazed and obsessed fangirls. She shuddered.
Of course, she was still amused with the way that her sister had so easily given into their demands. Emily looked pretty dressed up as Sakura, and it was only enhanced by the girl who was dressed as a boy beside her. Drea smiled softly, wishing that she also had a camera. Still, at least it was pleasant enough, right? It wasn't as though they were being forced into running around like idiots.
She raised an eyebrow at her sister's panicked expression when they'd brought up Kari Aoyama. Hmm. Interesting. Perhaps her sister didn't like this Kari Aoyama? She quickly dismissed the thought. Emily would've looked disgusted instead of panicked, and she'd have looked a bit more intrigued if she'd liked the author.
But panicked? The only reason someone would panic at the sound of a name is if there was some sort of... history. A grin stole its way over her face.
"Looks like someone's got a bit of explainin' to do, hm?" she murmured to herself, looking at her sister from across the room.

"Methinks we came in at a very, very bad time, huh?"
YA THINK!?
Addie merely stood silently and nodded at the short girl, her blue gaze would once again wander and look at all the work the members of the club had put into their costumes. It was so amazing and kind of hard to believe that people actually put so much effort into replicating outfits from television shows and video games. Well, after living in japan, it wasn't really that unexpected... but to think it traveled over seas and if popular in the states. A smile slowly spread over her face as she looked at the members of the anime club as they quickly pulled out backdrops and hurried about setting things up. Working so hard for a mere hobby, it was amazing. All the while it would make her feel like she had been slacking off in her steps to her main dream.....FASHION DESIGNER.
It was a goal she'd one day accomplish.
"It's cute how excited they are..." Chuckling a little, the brunette would walk over to the area where the backdrop was, pausing where they had told her to stand. Smiling as she looked over at her princess, offering out a hand for the girl to take upon wandering over to her. Serious yet soft blue eyes looked at the short girl and all the on lookers as they stared at the costumed newcomers.
"Shall we Princess?"
So, it had gone from a really boring afternoon, to looking on at costumed people, those who shared something similar to her hobby, and dressing up to have her picture taken. Quite interesting in her books. Listening to the hum of a sewing machine as a group continued to work, the chatter varying in pitches and of course the squees of the fangirls and boys as they looked at their hard work that covered the models. Smiling as she thought about it all, perhaps she'd actually join the anime club, it could be fun. Even if she really didn't watch anime.
smile smile.
Acting in character was difficult, having not seen the anime it was a little difficult being Li. After all, she'd only gotten a vague description of him from the girl who aided her with the costume. Oh carp~ Addie feared messing up the character, even if the image was just still, she wanted to bring the otaku's work to life by being the young man.... Which of course was harder said then done. Being the fact she'd rarely ever had someone take her picture. She'd probably mess up the pictures..
Oh no~~
