"It's nothing I had been doing, Victor." She said, trying to clarify things. Emily would seem to be deep in thought at this point. Yeah, she hadn't seen that girl in a long while - her old varsity captain.
Her old best friend whom had a marvelous sense of humor, and was obviously a girl who had a lot of guts and spunk. Emily considered her to be a valuable ally and friend, especially since she had been the one Emily was able to talk to while still on the Correctional Facility as a prisoner.
If it wasn't for her, Emily would probably be in the loon bin. Emily just smiled a the thought. "She just disappeared after a while." She said, "I haven't seen her since we last saw each other at 42, and that was a long time ago. I think she changed schools; not sure if she's coming back or not."
Yeah. If it had been that, then she was probably very lucky.
She would've gotten a normal life...
A much quieter one at that.
Unlike Emily, of course.

Victor thought about it for a moment, it was difficult for him to understand some things about human emotions... he had a certain detachment from most things, especially people and relationships, even though you couldn't tell just from talking to him.
"thats too bad... but hey, better somewhere other than here right?" Victor asked with a little laugh, his blue eyes still misty in thought somewhere else.
Victor then considered their surroundings, what they had been talking about thus far... this and that.
"Its really amazing that we both went to 42 and came here and never ran into each other for so long" Victor said, knowing full well he'd never mentioned that he went to 42 until that moment, and though he was somewhat only speaking to himself he knew he left plenty of volume for her to hear him.

"thats too bad... but hey, better somewhere other than here right?" Emily would laugh along with Victor, catching his humor although it is true that some students would've preferred what would've been considered as a normal school with a normal life. Not to mention that you won't be holding the stigma that a student from such a violent school has over today's society.
But being at a school like this made teenagers grow faster than they should; should Emily dismiss that as a bad thing or a good thing? Who knows?
"Its really amazing that we both went to 42 and came here and never ran into each other for so long"
Emily chuckled. "I've been more or less busy dealing with my own affairs, not to mention several attempts to keep Militia afloat after some leadership problems. Without "Unfettered", we were unable to function."
Yeah, she had been dealing with her own affairs. Lots of them. All besides Militia and everything else there had been something that Emily had started working on prior to leaving for 259.
She was unable to continue it, but at least she was more or less able to scrounge up some... allies if you will.
But that was another story for yet another time, of course.
