Twelve men.
David lay on his stomach, on the branch of a tree, his hair hanging down over his face as he chewed a piece of wheat stalk. He watched twelve boys approach, all of them clean shaven yet rough looking. One boy stood out in front of them all, his face a look of triumph. It had been many months since he had seen the kid, a boy from 42 whom David had put in the hospital. A coward. Davids eyes were closed as they stopped, a twenty feet from his tree, all theyre eyes looking up at him with grim determination. It almost brought a chuckle to his lips.
"Go away."
The boys all began taking off theyre shirts, showing theyre muscles, theyre scars, how strong and healthy and tough they are. A twisted smile peeled across his face as the bell for class rang. The boys werent going there- they just stood and watched. It gave him the perfect opportunity. He starting tisking, hopping down from the tree without any effort.
"You kids should be in class...."
"Fuck you Blaze. You killed Gabriel- we want retribution."
Davids smile faded, becoming a small smirk.
He attacked.
----------five minutes later-----------
"I'm....sorry...."
David held the boy, who was kicking and sturggling, by the neck, hoisted two feet above the ground. Around the courtyard lay scattered bodies, sixteen in all- they had backup. Still, David wasn't drained at all- he hadn't even needed to unlock his Qi. He cracked his neck, staring up at the boy with the smile having returned to his face.
"I don't like it when people don't listen. I especially don't like your blood in my courtyard..."
David threw the man to the earth, the boy skidding a ways before laying still for a few moments. He weakly pushed himself to his knee's, swet dripping to soak into the ground. David began walking slowly, hands in his pockets, heading straight for the man once more.

Bodies piled everywhere....
It wasn't any different at any other school of course, he'd been to his share. Sky was new here of course. So said his birth certificate, his transfer records everything about him was new. Except his mind of course. Two personnas lived there and it wasn't likely to change.
"Always the same...tsk."
Sky would voice, his tone deeper than it once had from the burning of his throat. Sky leaned against a tree having seen the fight. Blasted weaklings fighting in his name. They didn't stick to the cause all mindless drivel.
"I'm assuming from what I've heard is that you're the strongest here... from what I see those tales don't lie."
His dark apparel held a gothic tone to himself. Eyes reminiscently crimson. Feature's changed through hours of surgary. Things do in fact change.

David had picked the kid up by the shirt, the boy who by this time had stopped struggling, and just coughed blood on his own chin. David's smile left as the boy went into unconsciousness- how boring. He tossed the kid off to the side, then heard another voice come from his left. He turned so his right side would be facing the kid, and this time he had no smile on his face. David was good at reading people, and this boy spoke as though he had some obvious inner strength. He said nothing, instead opting to stare at the kid for a few seconds before trying out a test. He let his aura shoot outward, his power overflowing from his body as a pressure would weigh on the mind of his opponent- a pressure combined with the glow radiating off his body.
"And you are?"
His words were monosylibic, almost flat, as though he were uncaring. If the boy had no fighting prowess at all he would feel and see nothing because his mind wouldnt comprehend it, but if the kid actually did have something there he would know what was standing in front of him. David had grown stronger- far stronger- then when he had fought Seran. He believed, as he stood, he could fight Gabriel now without using his Qi. In fact, he resolved to not fight with his Qi until forced to, until it was proven he had to. Even if the other person used theres.
He tilted his head slightly, waiting for some kind of response.

Sky stared back almost uncaring as the eye fuck had almost become over bearing. The power that was once Gabriel's had now evolved and was given to Sky, though this time focused into a new form. Control, it meant everything.
"...The name's Sky." He shot back his own aura suggesting nothing else other than he was not to be beaten so easily.
Sky stood unwavering in the afternoon wind. This steady silence between them would soon enough become very drole and too finely worn out.
"Aparently I got the wrong impression, People said you had some strength I didn't think they meant your strong silence..."

Davids stoic face went from empty to a slowly changing smile. He started chuckling, then laughing out loud. He brought his hands up in merriment.
Wonderful.
He shot forward, throwing the heel of his hand in a sharp line for Sky's chest. At the very lest, the blow would force him backward, wether stumbling our sliding, and Davids eyes would have vanished beneath his gently blowing hair. The boy thought to make a point, to show David that he wasn't to be trifled with. Obviously the fellow had the wrong impression from the bodies scattered about- David didn't get scared anymore- fear was a far-hidden memory, an emotion birthed in another body. Davids smiled remained, the black holes where his eyes should be showing nothing of the joy or excitement underneath.
The kid showed off his power, and in so doing had awakened a hunger.
"Judging by your willingness to flaunt your strength, i'd say you came here hoping for a fight with a strong individual."
His eyes would suddenly catch light and flash.
"Why else would you be asking around about the strongest man?"
David had heard that some kid had been looking for the strongest person on School Campus, and now that the boy openly used that term, David knew he was the one. He chuckled slightly.
"Well, nice job boy. You found me."
He stripped off his dress shirt, throwing it off to the side.
"Or should i say i found you."
His aura would double. Nay, triple. No. Quadruple. Beyond it all, his Qi would add to the effect of his simple standings, and he would simply smile as he waited for the retaliation, the air around him turning wavy and the dirt and rubble jumping up and down around them, some floating into the air and this being without activation, David simply smiling through this test of wills, and knowing even then...
He was still holding back.

Sky took the hit dead on finding himself forced back his heels dragging all the way for a few meters shoving the boy off to create a short distance between them now.
Sky made a short grin, never the one to show very much emotion that was all that could have been given. Now he felt a certain strength between them. Their power level's had risen tenfold since their last duel at ends. It seems as if Gabriel had at last found the greatest rival he'd seen. Sky would be the one to carry this out till the end.
"To find some competition..."
A simply reply as he stood there shaking off the initial strike, he'd remove what tattered bits of his cloth off. his upper torso empty and weak. Of course there'd be no scars or facets revealing his old personna, the doctor did his work quite well.
"Seems fate has it we found each other."

David scoffed as he walked slowly toward Sky.
"Competition. Heh."
He reached up, grabbing his t-shirt and tearing it from his back, tossing it too into the wind, reveling in the feeling of the cool wind on his bare chest and back. Scars, both light and deep, were everywhere across his body. His shoulder held a deep one from the jagged piece of metal that had penetrated it when Gabriel and him had fought. David cracked his neck, speaking as he grew closer.
"Come then, show me what you got boy!"
He shot toward Sky with amazing speed, throwing a downward punch for the head. If it was dodged, the blow would slam into the concrete, sending shards of cement and dirt flying upward as a basketball sized crater would form under it. He laughed the entire time, his body impervious to the pain. None could truly end this battle now that it had begun.
Its what he lived for, and what he would die for.
What he had killed for.

Sky watched, his eyes tracing across the scars from that day. A mental image of what he might have looked like. Probably a pile of goo from the expansive amounts of pressure exorted upon his organs. Sky shot up seeing the fast reactions of an insane David Blaze lunge forth at him quickly. The boy never reacted with such imputant lack of control. A quick burst of power couldn't hurt.
*ZZwift!*
Sky was behind Blaze now an elbow cocked to fire at the back of his head just as the ground burst to bits clouding the area from attention. Power made men wild, control was their vice and it was Sky's release.

Davids eyes widened- not out of fear, but in exultation!
They boys elbow hit him in the head, sending him flying forward. He palmed the ground, flipping his body over and planting his feet in a runners position, sliding across the ground with a smile on his face and a small lump on his head.
"Oh, come now, Using your Qi already?"
He stood, laughing loudly.
"The fight has barely begun!"
He reached up, massaging his neck gently as he walked forward once again.
"You might want to save it- i would hate for this to be cut short!"
He would throw an uppercut for the chin, having vanished from his current position, and appeared directly in front of the guy. He sure hoped this kid wasn't some amateur who just needed to get his kicks. It would be a sad day indeed if the person who threw a blow that actually brought him a form of pain would suddenly be cut short. Of course, if the guy wanted, David could always activate his qi, and pummel his obviously tough frame with hundreds and hundreds of blows in mere seconds.
'No...not yet. Not even close.'

The sharp uppercur drover into his cin quickly. Sky felt the friction from the intense speed but he'd also grown fair bit faster to match it. A quick step back and he averted most of the damage, with a quick nudge he shook away the momentary pain.
"This is of course just the beginning."
Sky took a quick two step his speed drastically increased from what it had once been threw a downward punch to the man's cheek only to duck under an interpretted return blow and throw his left fist into the boy's abs.
"Qi is merely a boost.. to use it in coordination with your abilities is to make it part of the actual fight."
He shifted again ducking down and slidding a foot behind Blaze pushing him with open palms as to trip him up.
"Which means I'm essentially the stronger man."

David accepted the blows, except the one to cause him to fall. Instead, as the blow his his abs, he would grab the boys shoulder and throw his head forward, smashing it into the fellows face and pushing him away. His breathed deeply, closing his eyes against the pain as the smile remained on his face.
"Poor boy. you understand nothing. If your relying on a simple ability to win a fight, where then can you go when those abilities vanish? How can you fight when you don't have your precious toys?" He looked up at the sky, taking a deep breath.
"Stronger man. Stronger man. Blah blah blah. So much talk of strength and power. Your so eager arent you? To test yourself."
David slid his eyes back down to Sky and branched his legs outward, stabilizing himself.
"Very well. I didn't plan on showing you this- but if its truly what you see is needed, i'll let you late a peek."
The ground would vibrate again, as the air would turn a frigid cold. His hair shot skyward as his Qi activated. He would appear behind this kid, and a mirage, perfectly stable looking, would remain. He would speak as he looked at himself.
"I'm handsome."
He would shoot in front of the kid and throw a hard upward kick for the chin, sending the boy clean into the sky.

The bash to his head released an explosion of blood as Sky stumbled back facing David once more. A quick shake of the head and he spat it away simply to the side still sporting a crack on his forehead. His breath increased and a certain hue to his figure had changed. He was glowing now, an ominous blue tinge.
"Testing myself is all that there is...if you can show me better I'd like to see it." Sky would state quite calmly with a twinge of rebellion rising in his throat.
Sky turned about to swipe at the illusion figure, his own speed increased dramatically before turning forward into a kick sending him angled towards the gorund dragging along until he hit a tree shattering it's leaves and a sudden burst of their fruits came tumbling downward onto his head.
"ugh..." He sighed coming to his feet slowly rubbing his head.
That was quite fast, not the speed he remembered but regaurdless it was fast.
"Well then...?" Sky would wait for an aswer before fighting back.

David laughed aloud.
"Well then? what do you mean, Well then? Boy, just a moment ago you boasted to me! You told me that i was inferior? Showing your fear is a weakness kid, one you gotta shed."
He would suddenly knee him in the chin, as he added a bit more force to his speed. The boy was close enough he would likely fly up and slam into the trunk of the tree David would suddenly grasp his wrists and slam them into the trunk, embedding them into the wook like cuffs. He would let the kid struggle- this tree was the oldest on campus, and had survived rampages from himself, from Leon. From many students. He would then back away and let his power simmer as he stared at Sky.
"You gotta learn to fight for the fight- not so you can get stronger. Geez, you sound like a man who i recently retired."
He grinned, then turned, walking away. Given an hour, the tree would begin to relax naturally, and the boy could likely pull his arms free. This was, that is, if his attacks went through.

"Fear is what keeps someone alive..."
Sky reacted as fast as he could but simply put it wasn't fast enough he was forced back into the tree and pinned against it. The heavy breathfalls of his power beginning to feel slow effects he wasn't weak in any sense at all he was simply still adjusting to the power's influx.
"Tell me, is that why the person you retired left us... because he had no fear?"
When David would give space Sky would simply break free deactivating his Qi as soon as he was realesed.
"Then what does that say about you?"
Sky would turn to walk away having felt his own sense of satisfaction. He didn't care how the fight had ended or even if he was drawn back into it because regardless of what David Blaze thought about him... he was wrong.

Unfortunately for this boy, his satisfaction would be empty, for David would no longer be listening.
However, were he listening, there were many points David could touch on. First, the fact that David retired someone. The boy made it sound like the guy left of his own free will- no, it would only be that way if the guy retired himself. In this action, David showed he was the better of the two fighters- this kid knew nothing (or so David would think) about Gabriel and himself, about how many times they had fought and Gabriel had fallen to Davids feet. David, by retiring the boy, had shown his own motive to be stronger, is own path to gain strength better. Yet this kids oxymoronic view obviously gave him some sense of betterment.
Whatever.
David Had nothing to prove. In fact, he had just shown this kid he was better than him, yet he still spoke like his methods were the way to go. David walked on, hair blowing gently in the breeze as he unknowingly left and old rival behind.
