Victor sat beneath the shade of a large tree, his firey red guitar resting in his hands comfortably as he played a simple melodyand as his fingers picked lightly at the strings, his melodious voice painting pictures in the air, a slight breeze blew, his coat flapping a little in the wind, a beautiful stage picture as his blonde faux hawk bobbed with him as he played one of his favorite songs. completely unawares of anyone around him he enjoyed going through the motions of playing. simply... enjoyed |

Mitsukai was hidden up in the tree sound asleep when the sound of music woke her up. The girl had been having trouble sleeping for awhile now and that lack of sleep had finally caught up with her. All she wanted to do was to find herself a quiet place to close her eyes for a few minutes before she collapsed during school from exhaustion but even that was denied her. With a low growl of annoyance she would sit up in that tree. Debating if she should throttle the person who was making all the racket. It wasn't like the song itself was annoying her it was just because she wanted some fucking sleep.
She looked down, searching for the source of the music when her feline eyes landed on Victor. She didn't know him that well but she did know based on what she had seen that he was a rather easy going and friendly guy. She had actually gotten along with him the first time they had met. It would be a shame to ruin that now. Besides Kevala would probably kill her for starting a fight with a fellow photo club member. Though she did get into a fight with Gabriel before but that had been a completely different story.
With a small sigh she would let that little moment of frustration pass, she would not start anything with the boy over something like this now. There was no point and it'd be a waste of energy. Instead she would do something she rarely did. Act friendly for once.
"Nice song.....your pretty good on that guitar."

Victor looked up as he ended the song to see he had been joined by a girl from out of the trees themselves... by jove! and it was mitsukai of all people. Victor didn't know her incredibly well, only once from on the rooftop, and again from seeing her in the photoclub. Victor had always meant to talk to her more at the photoclub, but it seemed like he was always busy to some degree, and not able to make time... but now he had plenty of time! perfect!
Victor smiled shyly as she complimented him, he patted a seat next to him under the tree. "Thanks, I hope I didn't bother you" he said with a little gleam in his eye, his big charming smile coming to his lips.
the wind died down, his coat rested still, and there was a stillness that Victor enjoyed. how he did love this garden.

Mitsukai just shrugged at his comment. "Don't worry about it." She said coolly. Landing gracefully to the seat he offered her. At least the boy didn't mean any harm so she could forgive him easily enough. She was surprised though that she was even talking to someone like him in the first place. Normally Mitsukai would ignore those nice and friendly type of people. They tend to get nervous around the aggressive girl but he didn't seem to mind her at all. Maybe because he had not seen that side of her yet. She had been rather nice in their first meeting after all and because of Kevala Mitsukai had to at least try to get along with everyone in the club. Thank god the club was rather small or else she would have difficulties adjusting.
Her gaze drifted to the guitar he was holding, a bit curious about it. Mitsukai also had a love for music and had always wanted to learn to play either the piano or guitar but her relatives thought it was a waste of money so she never had the chance to learn.
"I didn't know you had a thing for music, how long have you been playing?"

Victor smiled as she brought up music, definately a good choice. of course she had only known him in the photo club so she probably wouldn't know that he LOVED music "I've been playing since I was very young... probably about 6" Victor explained "my parents signed me up for singing lessons, guitar lessons, piano lessons... they're very generous people" Victor said with a little laugh, as if that wasn't self evident. "Music is actually what I intend to do with my life after high school, I wanna be a rock star" Victor said with a little laugh and a knowing wink. he began to fingerpick the begining of another song as he spoke "How about you? any music in your life?" Victor asked with a smile, simply fingerpicking and not singing the melody of the song |

"I listen but don't play." she answered honestly. "Always wanted to try it but never got the chance."

"Would you like to try it? It's really easy" Victor asked, always excited to start people into playing instruments, he held the guitar out for if she wanted to take it, his brilliant blue eyes sparkling with excitement, the smile never leaving his lips

"Would you like to try it? It's really easy"
Mitsukai blinked in surprise as he held the guitar out for her to take. He was actually willing to let her try it? She took the guitar gently from his hand. and fiddled around with it for a bit. She had never actually held one in her hands before so she didn't have a clue what she was doing, but was trying to get a feel for the thing.
"What cords are for what notes?" she asked curiously.

Victor smiled and watched her fumble with it a little bit, though he trusted her enough not to simply drop it, he let out a little chuckle before she asked her question.
"Alright... well it kind of works like this" Victor said, then his hand came out touching the very top string, the thickest one. "This is string 6, and it goes down to string one, which is the very tiny string at the bottom." Victor explained easily, then his hand came and touched the metal bit (the fret) that seperated each note of the guitar. "These spaces of wood between the metal bits are called frets, and to make chords you press down certain strings on certain frets and then strum" Victor said, giving her an easy overview instead of the heavily implicated guitar theory. "So go ahead and take your middle finger, and your ring finger, and place them on the second fret, right here" he said pointing to it with a smile "and on he fourth and fifth string, so right here, and here" he said, pointing them out each in turn. "Thats the E minor chord, and its just about the easiest chord to learn on guitar" Vct explained with a smile

Mitsukai listened to Victor's quick run through carefully. Jotting down everything he told her in her memory for later use. At least he was pretty easy to understand, he could become a great music teacher later on in life if he choose to. She didn't doubt of course that he could become a famous musician like he dreamed of. He had talent and a nice singing voice, that and of course good looks it wouldn't be too hard for him to make it big.
Mitsukai tried to do the E minor chord that he had just told her how to do and she was quite pleased with the result. That had sounded great! This was actually quite fun. It had made her forget about her lack of sleep and even put her in a good mood. She smiled a little.
"Cool can you show me another chord?"

Victor chuckled lightly, he loved fast learners, this was going to be fun.
"that sounded great,If you learn everything that fast I'd love to" Victor made a little joke, it was his version of complimenting someone. "Alright, I think you should learn G, it's basically in every song ever made, so it's kind of important to know" Victor said with a little chuckle, oh music humor. "Now what you're gonna do is take you pointer finger and place it on the fifth string, and on the second fret Victor said, pointing to the exact place. "Then take your middle finger and place it on the sixth string, on the third fret" Victor said, also pointing to it with a smile "and then you just bring your pinky, and you stretch it down to the first string, the really thin one, and place it on the 3rd fret" Victor explained with a smile, tapping the right place gently.
he might be able to teach her a song by the end of this

Mitsukai smiled again, if there was one thing that she was glad about it had to be here ability to learn things quickly. That and her stubbornness that always pushed her to do her best in anything she liked. It was why she did so well when she trained with Katsuri during the short time he was around. She would need to pick up on what Victor was teaching her fast anyways, who knows when another opportunity to learn how to actually play an instrument would come along again.
Following his instructions again Mitsukai would play the G chord just as well as she had done the previous chord. She was getting the hang of this pretty quickly. It was a shame she never had the chance to learn before.

"Wow, you really are great at this" Victor said marvelling, he only knew one other person who had picked up guitar this fast...
"Alright, I wanna teach you the D chord now" Victor said, really getting excited about this now, he really found himself quite enjoying teaching, a wide charming smile spread over his lips as his eyes shone in the brightness of the sun.
"this shape is a little awkward at first, but all you do is take your pointer finger, and put it on the 2nd fret of the third string, and then take your ring finger, and put it on the third fret of the second string, and then take your middle finger and put it on the second fret of the first string" Victor explained, showing the appropriate fingers and then pointing to the appropriate frets and strings as he explained, his excitement in teaching becoming more apperant with every moment

Mitsukai was quite surprised to see how much Victor seemed to be enjoying this. His own excitement was making her feel good about this as well. She discovered at this moment that she really enjoyed Victor's company. He was just the type of guy that grew on you, even for someone as socially awkward as she was she really was enjoying being around him.
Again she listened to his instructions carefully. Her eyes following his every movement to know exactly what to do. He really had a knack for teaching, Victor was very easy to follow and explained things in a quick and simple matter for anyone to follow. It wouldn't be hard to picture him as a music teacher one day, it seemed like something he would really love to do.
When he was finished she played the D chord just as easily as she had the last couple and she felt rather proud of herself. This was defiantly worth her time maybe she could learn how to play something by the end of this. Maybe save up some money to buy her own guitar so then she could actually play her own music.
