Setteling in (Bella)

[Jyo]

Jyo stretched out with a slight yawn as he leaned back in one of the courtyard's trees. He loved this sort of spot in his old school and the fact he could do it here was great. His piercing eyes looked up at the sky seeing a few clouds here and there. But for the most part it was sunny. Not warm though as it was getting near the end of the year. it had rained a few times here and there as well. The change in season was definatly noticable now.

Jyo brushed some of his hair from his eyes and contemplated getting a haircut. He quickly dismissed the idea. He liked his hair the way it was. Jyo decided to slip down from the tree and landed lightly on his feet. He stood strait up as usual. Once more towering over many other students. Jyo started walking through the courtyard heading to the school. He had been glad he talked to Mr. Asiv. The man had put his mind a little more at ease. Without having to worry about a madman running everything jyo seriously wondered if his life would get back on track better here. He was glad to be at a school that offered more courses than his last as Jyo was now considering becomeing a teacher and so forth. his plan was to teach Literater. Something he felt very worthwhile.

The tall senior opened the door to the school and headed inside to his locker. He still had to meet with all the pillars and find out what they were like. Same with the leader of the only notable gang here at this time. Jyo also had to find out who the other major figures here were. Students and teachers and so on. He wanted to make sure he wasn't stepping into an even worse hell than last time.

[Bella]

Bella walked through the halls. Her short skirt swayed to and fro on her toned legs from her years of dancing. She was reading a book and not really paying attention to where she was going. She didn't really want to make eye contact because people would want to talk to her and right now she didn't want that. She was a quiet and shy girl and she just wasn't used to many people talking to you.

It was to English and then music to where she was heading. She knew the halls already and it was by luck she hadn't run into anyone yet. She was still very new and liked being the mysterious quiet girl. But that was until she ran smack dab into the middle of someone's chest. Wincing she stepped back and rubbed her forehead.

"Ow!" she looked up.. and up. My God he's so tall! "H..hi, I'm so.. sorry please forgive me." she said softly as she looked down and blushed.

[Jyo]

Jyo had been looking out the window to his right for a while as he walked. He then felt something hit his chest. Now having had taken blows that would normally kill people Jyo didnt really FEEL it. but he noticed it. The red haired ex-captain looked down and saw a young student had crashed into him. A freshman by the look of her and she seemed rather intimidated. Not surprising as Jyo could have a very frightening appearence at times. though it was usually not accurate as to how he acted.

He pulled off his shades reveailing the startelingly piercing yet somehow warmly inviting green eyes he had. A smile appeared as he held out a hand to help the girl up.
"No worries. these things happen from time to time." He said and chuckled.
"Jyo mashima. new transfere. Whats your name miss?' He asked.

[Bella]

His red hair seemed to almost sparkle and light up next to the windows as his hand came out to help her up. He was so tall. She had never seen anyone that tall in all her life suddenly she felt so short. Standing now he removed his sun glasses and the most beautiful pair of green eyes stared back at her. She smiled and blushed softly.

"Nice to meet you. My name is Isabella Remmington, but I go by Bella." she said softly as she shook his hand very lightly.

He was a new transfer much like she was only she was a freshman and he looked to be at the very least a junior but she figured he was older than that. She blushed again the quiet girl was not normally in the presence of boys except for her one friend across the hall in her apartment building.

"You're a new transfer? Me too." she fiddled with the strap to the messenger bag that was across her chest. Her pink sweater that hung just off her shoulders and hugged her curves played nicely off her pale skin.

[Jyo]

Jyo smiled. Bella seemed nice. Mabey a bit shy but then again not really surprising. Jyo looked the girl over for a second. She was cute. But a bit young for him really. Not that it was a major concern of his. She also seemed to be in shape. Jyo doubted manypeople would notice that fact. But then again he had a highly trained eye for such things.

"Well it's nice to meet you Bella. granted it wasn't mymost graceful intro. Guess I should watch where I'm walking better." he said witha small chuckle. he noted er eyes were a Hazel color. Her skin was also pale but not unhealthely so. Jyo would be highly amused to watch several of the boys around here drool over her. He normally found such behaviou funny as e never really went through that phase himself.

"So it seems we are both strangers to this school. i came from #499. Where did you come from? Or is this your first highschool?" He asked.

[Bella]

She looked up at him and smiled her blush still coming and going on her cheeks. She leaned her hip against the window sil as she talked to him. Her legs were the most fine toned of all her body as she was a ballet and broadway dancer her legs got a lot of use. She looked up and listened as he spoke.

499 had been a school she had heard rumors of. A school were they had a lot of fights. Not as violent as the 552 one she had heard her father speak of often times, the one based in New York, but that was a completely different and apparently violent state. He then asked her what school she came from and she blusehd softly before she answered.

"Well technically, I suppose you could call this my first school. You see I attended one for a month back home in Southern Cali but when my mom remarried a baseball player that traveled a lot I just decided to move here. My father lives here and that way my mom can travel with Pete, her husband, and she doesn't have to worry about me. So, I came from Fairview High, but I guess a month really doesn't count." she said with a soft smile.

"And what brings you here so late in your high school career?" she asked softly.

[Jyo]

"Interesting. At least you got into a new school early. It's rogh doing what I did which brings me to answering your question." He said and lightly sighed.
"I left because the school was run by a madman. He used the students for experiments and so forth. He set up a gang war that ended with one gang leader diny and the other being commited to a mental institute. I did my best to keep things safe for many of the students. But Kazahana intefered and sent me here. I guess all I can do in my final year is help out here when needed. Fortunatly I've spoken with out Principal and he seems to not be nearly as bad." he said doing his best to sum up the reasons he was here and tried to keep it short.

The senior noticed his stomach rumbeling and chuckled again.
"Well I'm a bit hungery. Care to join me down at the cafeteria. i'm not nearly as talkative when I need food." he said

[Bella]

Bella smiled softly when he asked her to join him for lunch. Was it that time already? She nodded softly and blushed again. He was a cute guy she had to admit but she just felt a bit shy around the guys at school and other places she didn't like drawing attention to herself.

"I'd like that very much, actually. I usually bring my lunch but last night when my father got off of work he ate everything left." she chuckled. "So, I have to buy today. It would be nice to sit with someone."

She turned with a slight flare of her skirt so that he could lead the way.

"So.. what do you like to do, Mr. Mashima?" she asked softly looking up at him.

[Jyo]

Jyo didn't fail to notice how Bella moved.
More like a danvcer. Reminds me of how Trinity moved around back at #499. They probably would have gotten along well. I hope Trinity got away from that place. He thought as they headed to the cafeteria.

"As for my hobbies. i like training and reading the most. I have an interest in musci. Mostly classical. And I have a fondness for puzzels as well." He said as they walked. He looked down at Bella.
"And please just call my Jyo. I hear Mr. Mashima and look around for my father." he said with another chuckle. Something he seemed to do often.
"How about you. What interests do you have?" he asked.

When they got there they had a short line to wait behind but a line nonetheless. Jyo looked at what was availble and was reminded why he didn't often eat at a school cafeteria. The food wasn't truly bad per say. But it wasn't great stuff. He chose a sub-sandwich and some milk along with a bit of fruit. The only thing there that really looked appealing to him.

He payed for his meal and looked then waited for a few moments while Bella got through the line. Once she caught up with him he led the way to a more or less empty table and sat down leaving the seat across from him open. Several students looked their way but Jyo more or less ignored them. Due to his status at #499 he was accustomed to stares and whispers everywhere he went.

[Bella]

Bella walked with Jyo into the cafeteria. She knew they must look nuts. As he was so tall over a foot taller than she was. But she didn't mind. It was nice. She almost felt safe around someone so tall and muscular. She liked the thought of being able to walk next to him because she as a dance though her legs were strong she was indeed a very fragile looking girl.

"Jyo it is then." she said with a soft smile.

In the line he told her what his hobbies were. Reading, training, and music. She smiled softly as she picked a ceasar salad and bottle of tea for her lunch. Paying the cashier she moved to the table had chosen before she answered his question. Taking her seat very gracefully she shook her tea up before opening it and placing her straw inside.

"For myself, I dance. Both ballet and broadway. Two very different styles but they work different muscles and not only that but its' nice to move away from the strict construct of ballet and just let your body flow." she said softly as she placed her napkin in her lap and began putting some dressing on her salad.

"Aside from that I read a great deal and I also like to listen to music. I also play the piano." she said softly as her hazel eyes looked up into his green ones. Another blush on her face as her eyes shot back down to her salad and she began to eat.

[Jyo]

Jyo ate as he listend to what Bella was interested in. He smiled at the thought of being right about her being a dancer.
"So you play paino. Very interesting. I have made a few compositions since I became interested in music. Nothing majrly outstanding but perhapes I could have you play them at some time. My ability to play instuments isn't all that great." He said

Jyo couldn't help but watch the girl before him. Except for the shyness she reminded him alot of Trinity who besides Katie had been his best friend at the last school. He found her shyness rather interesting. As his mother was a cop and the majorit of the girls he encountered were roughly as violent as he could be. He wasn't used to being around a shy girl. It wasn't really akward for him. Just a bit different.

[Bella]

She smiled softly as she looked up at him again. He composed something she never had tried and never really wanted to. She preferred to pull a finished piece out and just play. She just didn't have that knack to compose her own music. But she really wouldn't mind playing his music either.

"Of course, you could come over any time and I would play for you. My father is Chief of police and is usually gone a lot. So I cook and bake a lot. Forgot to add that to my repitiore of hobbies." she chuckled. "So maybe you could come for dinner and music." she blushed deep red and looked down

"You don't have to of course. I.. just.. well.. never mind." she blushed and went back to eating her salad.

Her long brown hair sat around her body. When standing it reached her hips. She tucked it behind her ears softly as she looked back up at Jyo. She didn't know why he was hanging out with her really. There were so many beautiful girls in the school she was just one of them and she wasn't all that special or pretty.

[Jyo]

"Sounds fun. I'll make sure to clear some time to dot hat soon. Still getting adjusted here so probably in a few days. I'll have to get in touch with you." He said eating a bit more. He grinned.
"To be honest I'm not a bad cook myself. Not really a hobbie but its a skill I have gotten very good at. Mabey I'll bring a couple dishses of my own." He said smiling.

"So in short I'd be delighted to come on over. It'll just take few days before I can. I have to meet with the pillars and sor forth as well." He said thinking about all the major figures he would encounter soon.

[Bella]

"I'd like that very much." she said softly as she sipped her tea. To eat and play the piano together did indeed seem like a lot of fun.

She watched him eat quietly as she looked around the cafeteria. They were drawing a bit of attention because he was popular and tall and she was quiet and reserved. But she didn't mind really he was a pretty nice guy to talk to she thought.

"So how do you grow so tall?" she chuckled happily as she winked at him softly. "You're girlfriend must be huge to match up with you." she commented.

[Jyo]

Jyo chuckled.
"Well the height is just something natural. Funny as I have Japanese blood in me. But obviously the other side comes out more. My dad was a tall guy as well. It doesn't bother me in the least as my fighting style revolves around kicking. Long legs give a great advantage with such a style." He said grinning and chuckled a bit as he finished off his food. He wasn't messy but he did eat rather quickly. He always figured it due to constantly being on the run.
"As for a girlfriend. I don't have one. Not many girls have been interested in being around me as at my last school alot of trouble revolved around me. mabey things will be different here. I certainly would like that." He said with a soft smile thinking back to Sophia. besides Kara who died long before Jyo attended #499 Sophia had been the first girl he had been interested in. Cutting off ties to her due to events between him and Kazahana still hurt him and it showed though not easily.

He looked back at Bella and smiled again.
"But most of the girls never really mentioned my height. Thought at #499 things where so bad that nobody got the chance to worry about such things." he said.
