Things might have come to a peaceful ending, but no, Max couldn't shut her mouth. Why the hell she couldn't let things go? Why the hell did she have to start with him too? He was about to respond to her when Chi cut him off. Oh fuck... He thought with a sigh as the two girls rushed each other and began fighting. What was he supposed to do now?
As a Pillar it was his job to maintain order and punish trouble makers, but could he really hurt either of the girls? Not to mention, Max was a Pillar too, though if she kept up with her attitude, she'd lose that title soon enough. As the moments passed, the boy's anger began to resurface. Clenching his right hand into a fist, the glove that covered it ignited. Aureus would give them one chance to comply, and if they didn't he would have to forcibly separate them. It wouldn't take much, a good punch to the stomach would do just fine.
Walking over to a nearby wall, the Pillar roared before slamming his fist into it, the flaming punch leaving a rather large dent in the concrete. "Stop!"

((Okay, Chi, since I had to go to bed I just posted my post as is. If you think this is unfair then just tell me by PMs or the Spam Channel and I'll edit .)) Max grinned wryly as Chi came at her, apparently Aureus hadn't been able to hold her back that long, the girl was coming straight for her face. Max at first thought she wouldn't be able to counter, thus the dark-haired girl looked quite capable of executing a pretty good left hook, but she figured that Chi wasn't that fast so she'd still be able to dodge. Or maybe she was fast, not as fast as Max though, ne? She would try her luck, taking quick steps back, she then dashed to her right, all body weight shifted to that side of her body and she'd let herself fall to the ground. It hurt her shoulder, yes, but Max was then quick up on her feet right after and turned to face the back of a driven Chihiro swatting at nothing but the air. Max was dumbfound, maybe this wasn't the right thing to do, they both were being very immature and she was a Pillar. Eck, just remembering that not-so-fortuneate duty she sprang to her senses, it wasn't her job to piss girls that she knew and didn't like stay off their preassure point... it looked like Aureus was trying to do his job, Max had just remembered he shared the same line of work as she did in this specific school, but what was she doing? She didn't want to lose the title, being head of the school newsletter was pretty cool even though she still hadn't done anything with it yet, Max all of a sudden wanted to stop but she knew Chi was still coming after her. And it was her fault, sorta. She didn't have the right to make everything stop now.

((ooc: Nah, that's fine. ^_^))
Chi stumbled slightly as Max tumbled out of the way, catching herself on the locker to keep from falling over. Yeah, that's right, she could talk as much smack as she wanted, point fingers where they shouldn't be pointed, rub salt in wounds she didn't even know existed, but when it came to the real stuff, she chickened. She bailed, and she didn't even counter. She jumped as Aureus yelled, throwing his fist into the wall. Now would probably be a good time to stop, and not only because Aureus got angry (though that played a large part in it, she didn't want to be the one to make him angry), but also because Max got her point. She was to be taken seriously.
She dropped her fists, letting her hands fall open to her sides, but she still flexed them a bit from the tenseness in clutching her fists so hard.
"What is your problem?"
She asked, an angry tone still in her voice, but she made it clear that she was done attacking. She brushed a strand of her long raven hair from her eyes where it had fallen, before suddenly making up her mind.
"No, you know what? I don't care. Caring is for friends, and apparently we aren't anymore. I don't know what the fuck is going on in your head right now, but know this: I have done nothing but be a friend to you. Have a nice life, stay out of mine."
She said, giving a glare to her ex friend before looking over at Aureus, an appologetic look flashing across her face. She could talk to him later. One more little jab before she left, she pretended to adjust an invisible mini skirt over her jeans, chocolate eyes glancing at the girl who she had once considered a friend before turning to walk down the hallway.

They had stopped, finally. Letting out a sigh of relief, Aureus shook his hand. Punching the wall probably wasn't the smartest thing to do, but it had worked, right? He could only look on with pity as Chi and Max had their final discourse, before his girlfriend walked off. It really was sad, from what he remembered they had been really good friends.
What caused the break? It's my fault...the whole reason Max was even mad in the first place was because of me. You mean me. Levi corrected his alternate personality. No, he wasn't going to let Aureus feel down because of this. He felt like following Chi, but knew he had to talk to Max about a few things. Once he was close enough, the Pillar spoke.
"Max, you should know..." he said in his usual, indifferent, semi-confident tone before letting Levi's conscience overtake his. Most of his body's features changed; eye color, hair color, bone structure. It only took a moment for Aureus Hayes to be replaced with Levi Ranson. "That I'm Levi."

Max had been looking at Chi, her hair floating away after her, she felt sorry. She was sorry that they had just broken up like that, truthfully Max was hurt more then she was showing to be, Chi was her only friend besides Aureus and now she had lost them both? From a retreating Chi to her pale hands, she lifted one of them and touched her cheek, the one that Chi had gotten her hand onto, it still ringed a bit.
She wasn't excited about the outcome of all this, Chi had started the fight though, she only finished it, right? Max felt an empty feeling inside her. What was she doing? Making all fingers point at her friend? Well, former friend, they hadn't been friends or anything near friends since that night at the Pipeline. Max shook her head in attempt to clear up all the garbage that circulated in her brain, and then she heard something... Aureus, his voice, what was he saying? "I'm Levi."
"W-what?"
Max asked in an unsteady tone, almost completely forgetting that had happened only moments earlier, what did he just say? That was crazy, that was - *SHRIEK!* Max screamed at the top of her lungs, when she was through she felt as if not a pint of air was left in her, her throat felt dry and she felt as if she'd have a hoarse voice if she spoke. Max took quick steps back, Aureus was gone all of a sudden like some genie just came and swept him away and made him invisible or something and ... Levi was standing there in plain sight. And then... "I'm Levi."
A frantic expression bore her features, she even tried to look away -- for Chi, for help, but she couldn't. The red-hair... the green eyes... the voice. Was someone flashing a projector around or something? How d-did h-he d-do t-that... "Okay, someone pinch me now because this dream is getting a bit too dreamy..." The words were rushed out of her mouth, it was impossible, how could one person be two? How could it be. It was so impossible but yet so real...
(( T_T Max will now have to undergo therapy a nice bit. T_T Harsh ))

Chi nearly fell over with fright as a blood curdling scream rang out in the hallway. She whipped around, her heart racing, chocolate eyes searching for the source of the scream. It was then that her gaze fell upon Max and what was now Levi. She seemed to be staring at him like she'd seen a ghost.
The junior blinked confused-like, sure she knew about Levi and Aureus, he had told her himself, but he hadn't shown her. She remained where she was, just less than ten feet away, as she watched things unfold. It was Max and Levi speaking now, not Aureus..somehow she felt out of place.

"Jesus christ, Maxy!" Levi half-shouted in pain after her scream. "Did you have to go and do that?" He asked nervously. Her reaction had startled him.
"I have a pretty...rare case of dissociative identity disorder. Kinda like a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide kinda thing, 'cept I'm not ugly and insane. Two separate personalities in addition to a physical transformation. I know it's strange, but I was too shook up to tell you at the Pipeline, and got pretty worried when you disappeared for a while. But like I said, I thought you deserved to know. Especially since it's my fault you and Chi are fighting in the first place." He said, hoping she wouldn't freak out any more. I'd prefer not to be called a 'red headed romeo either. the schizo thought, but held his tongue.

"B-but..."
Max took light, baby steps backward. The smooth texture of her lips showed lines when she pressed them together, searching for words, for something to say to Aureus... to Levi. Everytime she saw one of them, it didn't really matter which one, she had thought of the other but never really imagined this... how was this possible?
It wasn't! Not in her book at least... And Aureus, apparently, was Chi's boyfriend! But he was Levi! So...? A tiny crystal appeared in Max's left eye, leaving a flimsy trail as it found it's way down her cheek, Max lifted her arm and wiped it away with her sleeve but she felt as if more were still awaiting their turn to come down the same track.
"B-but I d-don't u-understand... I ... c-can't u-understand..."

Fuck! Why does she have to look so devastated? I can't stand seeing girls look like that. More things that are my fault. *sigh* What the hell? I'm supposed to be the one that picks up after you, not the one that feels emotionally screwed. Levi thought after seeing Max's reaction. It definitely wasn't what he wanted. She was even crying, making him feel even worse. "Max, come on, don't cry now, please?" The red head asked, sounding a bit nervous for the first time ever. For some reason he couldn't ignore her like he did with other girls.

Watching the display, and watching their reactions, Chi could tell this was going to get awkward. It was awkward already, watching her boyfriend's alternate personality become emotional with her ex best friend. Ouch, that still hurt, even to think. How was this going to work out? It was obvious that Levi and Max had a thing for eachother, whereas she and Aureus were together. They'd be with the same person, in a sense. ... She didn't know what to think, and she knew she couldn't contribute to the discussion, so what else was there left but to bail?
With a last look at them, she turned back in the direction she had been going before Max screamed, her steps a bit slower than the angry pace she'd had before, her arms clutching her books to her chest as she made her way to her next class.

"How can you say that? How can you even tell me not to w-when it's not even something I want to do in the first place, Aureus!"
Max bit her tongue, she had spoken way too soon and said the wrong name, but it was completely accidental. This is all too quick...all too sudden...all too wrong. She wasn't very comfortable with it, but the fact of the matter was that Levi was Aureus, and Aureus was Levi, right now her mind was in a warp. Max's gaze dropped to the floor and she wiped away another tear with her sleeve. An apologetic look was on her face, but she wasn't even looking at anyone...
"Levi... I mean Levi..." She said softly, still looking at the floor. At this very moment Max couldn't even understand herself, moments ago she had been fighting with Chi saying everything and anything that came to her mind that she had thought of as a worthy insult, and now she was getting emotional in front of the second half of her boyfriend...

Things were bad enough with all the drama taking place, but when Max called him Aureus, Levi was floored. He had no idea what to say, the situation was just too much, and he felt like getting away. An important thing to understand, is that that wasn't Levi. He didn't run away from things, and he always knew what to say, so how was this any different? What was Max doing to him?
"Look, I'm sorry about all this, Max. I didn't want to cause you any trouble. I hope you feel better," the red head said solemnly before turning away and starting to walk off. He didn't know what else to do.

"Levi..!"
As much as the two were different, Aureus and Levi, completely different, no matter what the strongest relationship Max would allow herself to commit to with either of them now was a friendship...
Max wanted to, but she knew it would be the wrong and foolish thing to do if she were to stop him. He was afterall Chihiro's boyfriend, or at least the other half of him was, and if Max tried anything to try and twist around that fact she'd only be making a burden on them. And as much as she wished it wasn't true, she still cared for Chi and her two-sided boyfriend, it was probably her fault why they weren't friends anymore due to her immature behavior from the club to now but she still wanted what was best for them.
Max wasn't the best thing for them, not even close to it. And after all she had done, or all that had happened, the most generous thing she could've done was stay away. Far away... Another little thin crystal started down her cheek, it was running her make-up, quick enough Max wiped it away and started off in the opposite direction from the red-haired boy and Chi, whom was already gone. It was the smartest thing to do even if there was still some regret left on her part.
