Yes emotions did seem to cause nothing but trouble when it came to fighting. Hell! Look at her and Gabriel's fights. Heh. They never came out as a regular fight and for the life of them they could not keep the damn thing going!
But this time he caught her elbow and would use his force to send a kick her way, it of course connected and would send her back barely able to retain her balance as she cast those eyes toward him. This time he came at her with a right hook and she would somehow manage to dodge out of the way, her body turning as she slammed her fist toward his ribs.
Damnit! One freaking hit! Was that too much to ask? Hell she had managed to nail Gabe a few times. Not like it ever hurt him but still!!!
If she did or didnt connect she would bounce back, trying to catch her and shaking her head. She was not about to give up so easily. She had been through too much to let this go down so easily. Just was not in her nature.

Not bad. She managed to dodge his right hook. Good. As his arm finished its line of course, his left hand would shoot out from underneath to catch her punch, he sure didn't want fractured ribs to deal with.
He released her fist just as quickly, watching her bounce back as she shook her head. He knew it was frustrating, not being able to land even one hit on your opponent, but you had to learn to deal with it, and move on. Life was like that, sometimes throwing opponents that could evade or counter any move you made, your way. But you had to trudge on, no matter how much it made you want to throttle someone. She wasn't going to give up, and neither was he. He had endured many fights to get to this point, and to give up, was not an option.
He would then dart at her, keeping his center of balance relatively low, it gave less of a chance for her to knock him off balance. Just as he reached her, he would duck down, and sweep his leg out, in an attempt to leg sweep her, like she had tried to do to him before.

Okay so she was back and had yet to land another hit. Fuck it! She was just gonna keep at it and whatever happened happened cause yeah. Her anger was rising and that was never a good thing.
It was something she was trying to control, it was just going to take time.
Noting his move forward she would not manage to get out of the way before that leg sweep came, her body falling and landing flat on her back, instantly shooting her right leg out in an attempt to kick him in the chest or the face, whichever she could reach. At this point she really did not care.

It really was frustrating, not being able to land a single hit on your opponent. And Alex knew that. He also knew it was enough to make anyone's anger level shoot up. And he had a bad feeling that it was happening to Kevala. This wasn't going to end well, and it sure wasn't for him.
Managing to sweep her legs out from under her, the moment he saw her right leg shoot out, he shifted enough to the right that her leg would fly under his left arm, but still managed to graze his side. It wasn't enough to hurt him, but at least she managed to hit him, sort of. He then snapped his left arm out and wrapping his arm around her leg, would lock her leg in place, preventing her from moving it. And considering she was flat on her back, the only option she really had was to try and kick him with her other leg. And he was prepared for that. After all, try as she might, she wouldn't be able to do anything with her right leg, not while he had it in his grip.
But he also couldn't move forward either, not unless he wanted a foot to his chest, even though the most it would probably do was knock the wind out of him slightly. She had to control her anger. Or she would lose to him faster than you could say "The Flame Master."

She was controlling her anger. For the most part. But then she would feel him catch her leg and hold it to his side. DAMNIT!!!
She growled softly, this time not mad at herself but more so at the fact that he kept moving!
She let those crimson hues shift up to him, laying back as she used all the strength she could gather to jerk her leg that he had a hold on forward, hopefully pulling him toward her. Now, given the angle they were currently in. IF the jerk did indeed move him toward her, then he would have bent over just a bit, and been met with that free foot to his face. Or his chest. Whichever one she could reach. It really made no difference to her.
She was sure he would get away again. Slippery bastard. But all was good. She was not mad...yet....and she did not hold his ability to fight better than her against him.
All in all he seemed like a nice guy. At least to her;.

It probably was more than likely frustrating for her, that he was constantly moving. But Alex wasn't the type of fighter to stand in one spot and let his opponent throw punches and kicks at him. He was going to evade and dodge if he could.
Hearing her growl once more, affirmed that she was indeed, getting frustrated as the fight wore on. But if she wanted to get stronger, she would have to get used to such events, because any fight, you'll encounter frustrations, whether you like it or not. He saw her eyes look up to him as he continued to hold onto her leg, and he had a feeling she was going to try something. And he was right. Jerking her leg caused him to pitch forward, with her free foot ending up colliding with his chest. He however, knew the possibility of such a thing would happen, and so had adjusted accordingly, letting his body flow in the direction of the strike, which reduced the impact quite a bit. That didn't mean however, he had released her leg.
He was still holding onto it, but the moment her leg had impacted with his chest, he slipped in between the space between her legs, and quickly turning around, so his back was facing her, he hooked his arm under her leg and held her other leg in place, his other arm holding onto her other leg. Now he had both her legs in his grip. And he wasn't planning on letting go. He would suddenly rise up, and yank her forward, towards him, literally lifting her off the ground, before beginning to run forward, dragging her along behind him.
