Matrim's punch was blocked, in itself a pretty good feet, using smart fight mechanics and stopping that punch. An elbow struck out toward Matrim, who took it in order to finish the upper cut he had intended to perform, his face getting knocked back slightly, his lip being cut and bruised up from the hit. After the punch Matrim would aim to bring his left knee up into Cain's back, aiming for lower spine territory. Matrim would be putting himself at risk with this move, but his right arm would attempt to hold Cain in, attempting to pull him tight as he did the strike.
If that knee was successful Matrim would quickly lower the leg and once again prepare a strike with his left hand, this time aiming to punch Cain in the back of the skull, attempting to hold him in with that right arm in sort of a hug type fashion. Which in itself wasn't exactly manly but hey, it was functional to some extent while leaving his face open to many attack opportunities, Matrim would be glad to receive any exchange of blows that would take place.

And his elbow found home, Cain celebrating the small feat with a grin. However, his celebration would be cut short as he realised that he had no escape for the predicament the fight had eventually thrown him too. He gritted his teeth as he tried to leap away. Just as he was about to, however, he felt a sharp jab on his lower back, the strike to the nerve sending his legs into a freeze as they refused to move, the junior being held in place then. And as if that was not enough, Cain's contact with Matrim's right arm was preventing him from falling forward using the knee strike's momentum too.
The last time the two had fought, Cain had been momentarily knocked out by a heavy right hook upon his left chin, which left quite a bruise indeed. This time, though, it seemed that a left hook upon the back of his head would do the job, as Cain's head jerked forward under the impact, his eyes almost popping out of their sockets as they rolled back down, the junior falling upon his knees, his whole body going limp.
However, determination would prevail as his hands shot forward, finding the ground, the junior struggling then to keep away. Finding himself free from the struggle, Cain would throw his body away from Matrim with all four limbs, hoping that it would be enough to buy him some time to recover from that heavy hook. His head was hurting, and his brain was clattering against his skull now. That hook had really done its job.

Matrim had managed to get the hook to the back of the head, Cain seemed to go down until his hands caught him and he struggled to give himself and Matrim some space, Matrim let him go and crossed his arms, he knew just how tough this kid was and he didn't want to go too hard on him after all. He wanted more than anything to encourage the kid to work harder, not to discourage him from getting into fights, so he'd stand and let him do as he wished, getting into position.
"Alright then," Matrim said getting into position with his right leg drawn back, standing on the tip of his left foot, ready to charge, "So you wanna keep going with this or are you good for now?" Matrim said, "It's up to you but I really don't get too much enjoyment past this part, this is more for your enjoyment."
It was true, Cain was the one getting the most out of this fight, and while Matrim didn't feel taxed by fighting Cain, it wasn't something he was exactly dying to do. Now if it were Leon, he'd love to pummel and beat up Leon past the decision point just to see if it had really happened, if he had really beaten him. But from here on out Matrim would feel slightly less excited, and more so hopeful for what Cain would become after this fight.

"Alright then, so you wanna keep going with this or are you good for now? It's up to you but I really don't get too much enjoyment past this part, this is more for your enjoyment."
Cain looked up at Matrim, his vision still blurred from being temporarily knocked out. He let out a grunt. He was being offered an end to this fight now. As much as it thought to be exciting for Cain, he knew that he had reached his limit here. After that hook, his body was going to be considerably slow in reaction, his mind still fazing. This fight was not going to go as hard and as fast as Cain would have liked. And besides, it seemed that Matrim was not getting that much from here, so Cain did not want to burden him anymore. He let out a soft sigh, before dropping onto one knee, his right hand raised in surrender.
"Alright, I give up. You win. I still have a lot to improve on, it seems."
Cain looked up at Matrim then, a wide grin on his face, bothered not at all by how the other male had utterly beaten him to the ground, knocking him out with just a single but well-placed punch. He now had a further understanding as to how this man had managed to become a School Captain, even in a place like this, That display of power was enough to show Cain his capabilities, both as a fighter and as a leader. Cain still had a long way to go if he wanted to be a somebody here.
"I promise you, then, that our next bout won't be as disappointing."
And that grin widened.

"I promise you, then, that our next bout won't be as disappointing."
"It wasn't disappointing at all," Matrim said, "In shape or out it's always fun to see how somebody is improving. You have the spirit, and definitely the right attitude, just keep it up and you'll be there in no time."
If ever Matrim wanted someone besides Sara to kick his ass, it would be this guy. Mostly because he could see Sara ordering him around the house like a maid or something wearing an apron if she ever beat him. She would hold it over his head for God knows how long....
"In any case, I'll see you next time then," Matrim said, walking past Cain he'd pat him lightly on the shoulder, his hands going to his pockets as he left the scene, filled with hope that Cain was going to get there one day. He had been the strongest before, he had the drive to get there again. Reminded Matrim of when he first came to 259 from Point Hope. He was probably somewhere around his strength level then, but he had nowhere near the drive that this guy had.
Instead he had one goal, Dragon.
