Only her first punch hit her target but she did not lose her pace, after her second punch missed she went for the kick. Only to have his grab her by the ankle to block the attempt. The stab of pain from the impact made her hiss out in annoyance and pain. His right hand grabbed her by the collar before she could recover.
"You've already lost. Rest for now."
She growled softly as he lifted her up by the collar of her shirt, sending a swift kick with her good leg in the face. Whether this move missed or not did not really matter to her. She just was too stubborn to give in even when she knew the battle was lost.
Either ways she could do nothing as he slammed her to the ground. Hard enough that she lost consciousness.

Persistent little bitch, ain't she?The girl tried, she really did. None the less, it was more than obvious who was the winner. None the less, she kept watching, as she had decided to, to the very last moment that the girl hit the ground and lost consciousness. After a moment of Devon making certain that the girl would not get up again, she slowly stood, brushing off the back of her pants, having now completely forgotten about the bag of sunflower seeds left behind. She showed no desperation or hesitation in her approach, sauntering towards the Japanese boy with complete confidence. Now a couple of feet away from him, Devon looked at the victor of the fight for a moment, taking in the weight of what was happening. It was not fear that she felt, though... it was perhaps the complete opposite. She was almost savoring this moment before everything would change forever. Finally, Devon spoke. "You.
I wanna take you to a gay bar.
You're going to be my new sensei."No requests. No questions. Not even any guesses. What Devon said was nothing but the truth. After all, this entire moment had been nothing less than destiny at work.

His head whipped aside, eyes wide, avoiding the extra kick. A small grin came to his face as she passed out from the impact. He was starting to like this girl. She was just like he used to be. Or more accurately...She was a blend of his old mentality and his current one. And...Y'know... A girl...and...not a ninja <_<
>_>
*cough*
Yeah. Any ways. Point was, he was starting to grow fond of the crazy little girl. Although...She really wasn't much of a little girl, was she? Her file had said seventeen. She was so small, though...You'd never guess. Ah well.
Ryu hefted her up over his shoulder, noting just how light she was... It was almost strange carrying someone this small. Then again, Ryu didn't fight girls often, and when he did, he was trying to kill them, not looking after them. Turning around he started walking toward building one. Then of course, a voice sounded next to him. Raising an eyebrow, he turned toward yet another tiny girl. What was it about him that attracted particularly small women?
He'd been through the same damn thing at Mugen Hall. And..he...Honestly couldn't tell whether or not it was a good thing.... He'd never had any interest in such things as relationships... Maybe it was time to change that...
...
...Nah.
His raised brow twitched as she'd essentially made an ultimatum of him. Well...No, more stated fact... Turning back toward the main building of the 259 clusterfuck, he continued walking, pretending he'd never even seen the kid. The idiocy of her statement was truly profound.

.......
..............
Well. That was a better reaction than she expected. A bit anti-climactic, yes, but at least he hadn't beaten her to a pulp.
Yet.
In any case, Devon simply walked alongside him as he made his way to the main school building, hands shoved in her pockets. She didn't even bother looking at him at this point. He knew she was there, she knew he was there. Unless, ya know. He was an idiot or something and couldn't notice someone walking right next to them. I mean, how do you miss a tan-skinned punk/ghetto mime walking next to you? Honestly? And she wasn't that much shorter than him anyways. At least they were within a foot of height. That other girl on his shoulder, on the other hand? Tiny little thing. Pure midget, even to Devon.
She did have to wonder why he was showing this much compassion to someone who hated him so much. Perhaps through their heated battles, a bond had grown, a bond stronger than friendship? Stronger than family, even? Perhaps... love?
...
...Nah.
In any case, Devon piped up again, speaking casually, still acting as if he had already agreed. Even if he hadn't yet, though, he was going to. Destiny and all that shit, ya know?
"...So.
You think I should keep my hat on for when we train, or do you think it would just get in the way?"
...Yeah. This girl had some odd priorities, she did. Some would ask when training would begin, or where, but nope, Devon's first question was about her hat. But hey, her clothes were important to her. She made them herself, after all, and she didn't want them to get messed up, especially not her beanie. That thing had been with her for a while, ya know? One of the first things she ever knit. Sure, she could just knit another one, but still, sentimental value and all.

Ryu kept right on walking, ignoring her entirely. Normally, people didn't look twice at someone carrying a body over their shoulder. It was a normalcy amongst the school considering not every one who fought wanted the other one dead, and thus didn't leave them in such a condition. What they did look at, though, was not only was this huge scary lookin' bastard carrying someone, he was being followed by someone. Both of them being small girls.
Well, let's just say this raised more than a few eyebrows. Even got a few whiplash-head-turn cases. After a short while, someone HAD to be a smart-ass about it. Y'know they did. It was fuckin' mandatory. "Oi, big guy! What's with the little girls? Fuckin' perv!"
Ryu's brow twitched and his right hand whipped out past Devon, Right hand stabbing through a locker door. Ripping it clear of the hinges, he smashed it against the wall twice, roughly shaping it so that it would be easier to do what he was about to. Looking at it, he realized he'd made a seven foot tall broad axe. "...Well this is nostalgic...." He said simply before his arm whipped across his body and the improvised weapon flew clear across the hall and stabbed into the stomach of the idiot who'd made the comment.
How far it had pierced, Ryu couldn't say, but there was definitely blood coming from the guy's abdomen as his friends rushed to help him, staying as far away from the transfer student as possible. Then the question came from the girl tailing him.
"...Fuck off, kid." He said simply, whipping out his right leg to sort of...well...punt her down the hall as he proceeded to the nurse.

Devon just kept right on following, ignoring the stares around her entirely. So they thought it was weird that her new sensei was surrounded by little girls. Well, it was, perhaps a little. But Devon didn't seem to notice-- and if she did, then honestly, she didn't give a fuck. She knew she wasn't attracted to him that way, he knew-- well, as far as she knew-- that he wasn't attracted to her that way, so as long as the people who mattered knew, all the others could go jack off to their hentai and anime porn anyways. Most of those girls were underage anyways, and those that weren't usually LOOKED underage. Underage girls with implants, but underage none the less. So in other words, they were all hypocrites in her eyes, and what they thought of her, she could care less.
She didn't even really register the smart-ass comment towards her new sensei until his hand whipped out past her, causing her to sidestep a bit and give him room as he pulled AN ENTIRE FUCKING LOCKER OUT. Now if that wasn't hardcore, she didn't know what was.
Oh. Beating the damn thing into into a seven-foot steel axe and throwing it at his enemy. Well, she was proved to be mistaken yet again. She took in the sight of the axe hitting its target dead on, with the asswipe bleeding swimming pools of blood while his asswipe friends futilely coming to his aid. It was then when she asked her question. The response?
~"...Fuck off, kid."~
With that, Devon found herself being punted across the hallway, flying a bit of distance before sliding across the ground on her ass. Her hat fell off in the process, landing somewhere within the crowd. She did not notice this, however, until she felt a certain lack of warmth up top. Reaching up and patting her messy, spikey case of hat-head, she quickly realized what happened.
...Fuck.
Her eyes darting across the hallway, she finally found her black-and-white striped beanie getting trampled on by idiot passerby. With that, she leaped into the group, not more than a small outtake of breath passing her lips as she snatched up her hat and pinned the poor idiot she had caught right against the locker, the slamming sound resonating down the hallway. For a minute, as she looked up at the freaked-out boy with her demonic glare, she considered teaching the kid a lesson... but no. Sensei was waiting. She let the kid down and trotted off in the direction that he had been going in, brushing off her hat and plopping it back onto her head. It was a bit lopsided, and her stomach still hurt from the blow, but honestly, she was fine. Besides, she was good at pushing herself when things mattered.
And oh, did they matter.
She soon caught back up with him, slowing herself back into a leisurely walk as she walked alongside him once more.
"Hm. Even your half-assed punts are strong. I'd expect nothing less from the man I chose as my sensei."
Good thing I actually found my hat back there. Otherwise I'd pro'lly try and hunt him down to the ends of the earth or... some bullcrap like that. Or don't and say I did. Or just sew another one. Or just slaughter a couple of hoes, make some new boots out of their skin, and call it a day.

Damn. Almost made it.
Ryu was down the hall from the nurses office-- Big shpeal that it was-- when the insect caught back up to him. Persistent little bitch, ain't she? Crap... Looking down at her, "You really don't take a hint, do you?" his deep voice boomed down, having stopped walking for a second. Without waiting for the answer, he continued walking to and into the nurses office. Walking a bit in, he noticed that it was slightly crowded today. Looks like he wasn't the only one who got into some shit. And this was before those pricks on the courtyard and that idiot in the hall got here...
Finding a bed toward the back, he laid Mitsukai down, and walked back out of the long room. Ryu turned to the girl-- she would undoubtedly be there-- and said. "Ya know...I'm probably four times faster than you. You want me to teach you? Then keep up." And with that his bulky frame blasted down the hall at a much faster speed than one would ever suspect he'd be able. First stop, back to the courtyard. He'd forgotten his backpack.

~"You really don't take a hint, do you?"~
You're the one not taking the hint here, kid...
Devon wasn't quite sure how other people were so incapable of understanding this... once destiny started spinning its wheel, it wasn't going to stop. She wasn't going to stop. If destiny was what caused her to meet her end, then fine, it was meant to be.
But this kid was going to be her sensei. And nothing, other than death, was going to change that. Seriously, what was so hard to understand about that?
............Yeeeeeeeeah. I think by this time, you might start to notice a few of the mental issues this girl has. >_>
Anyways.
Devon simply followed her sensei towards the nurse's office. Once they got inside, she took a look around, not at all surprised by the student-to-bed ratio. They did have a good number of beds, too, she noted... Ah, well. She followed him to the back, where he placed the beat-up midget onto the bed, then followed him back towards the entrance of the room. He turned around and spoke to her.
~"Ya know...I'm probably four times faster than you. You want me to teach you? Then keep up."~
With that, he was off like a flash. He was indeed much faster than anyone would have imagined a guy of his size would be. At least that helped keep the way clear, so that no one would get in her way. Hopefully. As quickly as her legs could carry her, she sped right after him.
He was right about one thing... he was definitely much faster than she was. But even that sure as hell wasn't going to stop her from keeping up with her sensei. She would catch up to him, or die in the process.
