Okay, so yeah, today was just one of those days where Kevala was looking to get her butt kicked. Why? Cause well honestly...what else was there to do around here? So she had sat down outside the school at one of the empty tables, pulled out her cell and scanned through the numbers.
Who should she ask? There was David, but honestly she did not wish to be thrown through another car. Then of course there was Gabriel...but that was just a whole other mess of trouble and honestly, they seemed to never finish their fights. Things always went a bit more.....emotional. Heh. Bah!
Then those eyes fell upon somebody she had not seen in some time. Somebody she actually owed a good spar to. Grinning softly she would slide open the phone and punch out the text..
Oh she knew the girl could whip her ass up one side of the school and down the other. But who did she know that couldnt? Honestly. Not to mention Em was one of the few girls she liked to consider her friend. So, why the hell not? If you were gonna get your ass kicked it might as well be by your friends right?
So now she would wait. Good thing she had dressed for this today. A pair of black camouflage cargo pants and a pink tank top. Her long brown hair pulled back and a pair of black combat boots on her feet.
Nah! She had not gotten dressed this morning with the intent of starting something with somebody.
NEVER!!!!
LIES!!!
All of it!!!
Letting a little sigh pass her lips, she hopped up onto the table top and laying down, her eyes cast up to the sky as she ran the tip of her tongue over her lips.
Now to see if Em showed up. They did have a lot of catching up to do. Much had happened and plus they had never really sparred together. So...it was a good idea in Kev's mind.
Now to see if the other girl would agree.

Emily stared at her phone for a while, processing the thought as she more or less put away a few medical books into her locker. Hmm, a spar? That would be interesting. In front of the school in plain view of everyone? Even more fascinating than she thought.
Taking a breath, the white-haired woman shoved her bag inside her locker with the thinking that "she'll fix her bag later." After all, spars were far more interesting. Not that she took pleasure in hurting people; she just was easily fascinated with people and pushing herself considerably. Then, closing her locker, Emily would take the walk outside, hoping to see Kevala nearby. After all, there was also a few things Emily was interested in with regards to this mother of two.
Emily didn't exactly find Kevala in one glace; it took her a bit of looking around and some level of slapping herself mentally upside the head for not noticing that she was the one on the table. It wasn't everyday people were dressed up as if they were going to war.
Emily just dismissed it; with a grin, she approached her friend with her hands deep into the pockets of her Earth Dragon Coat. "You called for me, Kev?" she said, smiling.

War? Nah, she just had a man at home that thought she looked hot with those clothes on and you know Kev...she lived to please. Hehe.
As that familiar tone was heard she would shift to sit up on the table top, a little grin curling onto her lips as she looked over at Emily.
"Yes, I did. I figured I owed you a spar and what better place to do it than in the new Captain's front yard?"
She raised her brow slightly. Oh yes, she was bad. But she had her reasons. One in particular in the form of a very stubborn and irritating male named Gabriel Seran.
But that was beside the point. For now at least. Her hands on her thighs now, she would wait. She knew there were other matters at hand as well.
"But I believe a chat is in order first? Or would I be wrong in assuming that?"
She tilted her head slightly, those icy hues staying focused on the white haired female before her. She respected Emily, owed her more than anyone could ever imagine. And though her loyalty fell with Gabriel, she was in some sense loyal to all her friends. Whether they knew it or not.

"Yes, I did. I figured I owed you a spar and what better place to do it than in the new Captain's front yard?" Emily laughed, holding it back a bit as to not look like an idiot laughing so loudly.
"Nice, and he'll probably run after us for it. Just great."
"But I believe a chat is in order first? Or would I be wrong in assuming that?"
Emily merely grinned, shaking her head to assure her that she didn't assume wrongly. Fighting after all, is something she could live without - it had it's uses in killing time, but of course life didn't contain just a bunch of fists and knees.
"Of course not." Emily said, "How are you and the kids? Sorry I haven't been able to check up on them the past few weeks. I had to deal with a few things..."
Yeah, being hospitalized for a week wasn't fun. Emily would partially blame Gabriel for that.

She would listen, the thought of Matrim running after the two of them for causing trouble in the school was an amusing idea. One she dared him to try.
"Well the glorious Captain may try but I am sure we can destroy some stuff before he does."
She laughed softly and then would shrug once more, her feet slipping from the bench to allow her to hop up and now stand before the girl.
"The twins are good. I have had much to deal with as of late myself. Torture, nearly killed.....watch Gabriel nearly kill the girl that did it. It has been just a basket of fun. Oh and let us not forget the roller-coaster that man has kept me on for the past few months."
She rolled her eyes, another soft laugh escaping her. Yes she could complain about him, but in the end, where would she be?
By his side of course. As she had vowed from the start. Though the thing with Emily and Gabriel, Kevala had not been a part of, had not known of or anything of the sort.

"Well the glorious Captain may try but I am sure we can destroy some stuff before he does." Emily laughed, is she really the Pillar that Matrim scouted? Well, that was surprising. "The twins are good. I have had much to deal with as of late myself. Torture, nearly killed.....watch Gabriel nearly kill the girl that did it. It has been just a basket of fun. Oh and let us not forget the roller-coaster that man has kept me on for the past few months."
...
Emily rose an eyebrow; Gabriel? Roller coaster ride? Emily became quite intrigued by this thing about Gabriel. "Gabriel torturing someone? Mind telling me about it?" She said. So he's been torturing people, huh? Emily would keep her own experience of Gabriel's shannannigans to herself, chuckling how well that turned out in the end for her and Regalia.
"... Oh, before I forget." Emily chuckled. "Did you bring that thing I asked you to get for me?" She said, "I believe I'll need it soon for my report."
A grin.
Yeah. A notebook.

She shrugged softly at the question about Gabriel.
"Well, it seemed like torture since she could do nothing to fight back against him. But he only did it to avenge me. She almost killed me...and would have if Spike had not come in and stopped her. But when Gabriel found out he....."
She paused trying to find the right words to use here. It was always so hard to describe why Gabriel did what he did.
"Well he became very enraged. I could feel the darkness and anger pouring out of him."
She nodded. That was the best way to describe it.
"She tortured me for hours. I do not think there is anything I could have said to stop him. Not that I would try. I vowed to follow him into anything and that I shall."
That was all she could think to say about that. Sure, he had tortured her...but meh...that really did not bother Kev and she felt no need to bring it up.
Then the next question.
OH YEAH! She almost forgot.
Reaching into her back pocket she pulled out a notebook, folded up enough to be able to fit there. Handing out to Emily she smiled.
"There ya go. Hope it covers all you need it to."
She nodded as she watched the girl.
"So, what have you been up to as of late?"

"Well, it seemed like torture since she could do nothing to fight back against him. But he only did it to avenge me. She almost killed me...and would have if Spike had not come in and stopped her. But when Gabriel found out he....."
Emily's interest peaked when Kevala seemingly hesitated speaking out. Probably processing more thoughts? Harboring ideas that would compromise Gabriel? It was then Emily started to suspect something was more or less either bothering Kevala or that this woman, who had a very strong heart in her opinion, was harboring feelings for Gabriel Seran? To what kind of feelings, was beyond her knowledge...
"Well he became very enraged. I could feel the darkness and anger pouring out of him."
--- or maybe she was thinking too much.
"She tortured me for hours. I do not think there is anything I could have said to stop him. Not that I would try. I vowed to follow him into anything and that I shall." Emily would keep her mouth shut, thinking as Kevala then remembered the notebook and passed it to her. Emily would immediately examine the book, it was a green one with a drawing of a swan on the cover. She quickly did a little scanning and found herself on one page that piqued more interest.
She grinned. This was doing well.
"There ya go. Hope it covers all you need it to."
"It's more than I had expected, actually." She said, smiling as she put the notebook away. "Thanks, Kev." Emily then wondered if she should disclose the fact that Gabriel was following her now? Well, maybe some other time.
"So, what have you been up to as of late?"
"Same old, same old." Emily said, shrugging. "Training. Dealing with Hot-head and what he called me. Honestly, it bothers me that that it was bothering me a little bit."
Emily grumbled for a moment, "He has an ego problem I'd like to fix someday."

She nodded, fully agreeing with the statement about the ego problem that needed fixing. She knew a couple guys like that.
"Do it. Heh. Gods know there are a lot of men around here that need that."
She sighed as she thought over her own issues. Gods why did they all have to be so......bah! Gabriel was by far the most frustrating male she had ever met next to Katsuri. But Katsuri had been easy to please. Gabriel....well he was always changing.
Spike was not so bad. Though the fact that he thought chibi Spike got him out of trouble half the time was just soo.....grrr! Cause once she saw that cute little face she just could not stay mad for long. Damn that man!
"Well I hope things work out for you. I fully understand how men can be so damn frustrating you want to just tie them up and make them listen. If not worse."
She shook her head, offering that friendly smile once more.
"But you look good. Glad to see you are well. These days things are so unstable you never know who will fall next."
Her mind running over the things she had discussed with Leon. Instantly feeling the pain in her heart at the thought of him being gone. But as he said, it was coming. All she could do was be there for Spike when it did.

"Do it. Heh. Gods know there are a lot of men around here that need that." Emily grinned softly, giving her friend a little pat on the back. Men really are a confusing bunch at times; more or less stubborn and filled with stuff that Emily would rather not think about.
She sighed as well.
"Well I hope things work out for you. I fully understand how men can be so damn frustrating you want to just tie them up and make them listen. If not worse."
Emily smiled weakly, albeit somewhat darkly. Oh, that would be just so damn easy in her case; to tie that silly German down, make him listen to her own unanswered feelings, perhaps finally get some closure and move on - if that was even possible.
"But you look good. Glad to see you are well. These days things are so unstable you never know who will fall next."
Emily's weak and weary smile persisted, thoughts wondering in her head even though she didn't really mean to look so fragile for that moment. It was an early symptom of an emotional melancholy that will tear at this woman's very being from the inside out.
Emily shook the thought off and smiled.
"I guess that's how the world works; nothing's ever stable." She chuckled. "... by the way, I heard... a few things."
...
"... Head of the School Newspaper. How did that happen, Kev?" She inquired; straight to the point without showing any of her prior emotions on a stoic, smiling face.

Then came the question. The one she had hoped to avoid but knew she would not be able to. Well it was best to give the straight out answer...right?
"I was offered the position, and at the time, I was trying to break away from Gabriel. It is hard being in love with a man who does not love you in return. But, like some force of gravity or something, I find myself once more at his side."
She shrugged softly, shaking her head as she held back the growl she wished to release at the situation.
"I will follow him into anything. Despite his not ever going to love me and his confusing actions. I had hoped to start training with Matrim, to change my path in life some and to stop myself from hurting by cutting it clean with Gabriel. But it did not work. It failed....epically."
She would then let those eyes turn up to her friend. That was just it, Emily was her friend and she felt bad for take a title from a man who had beaten Emily for her's. It was not a very comfortable situation to say the least. She only hoped that Emily would not hate her for it.
Kev was trying to do what was best in this situation. It was just so hard at the time. Things were so confusing to her. To say the least. But either way, there, she had admitted the truth. Knowing that nobody else was around to really hear the two..so no worries on anyone knowing her motives. Besides.....it was not like Gabriel did not know. Heh

"I was offered the position, and at the time, I was trying to break away from Gabriel. It is hard being in love with a man who does not love you in return. But, like some force of gravity or something, I find myself once more at his side."
If there was anyone on 259 who could have the closest to Kevala's experience, it would be Emily. For they both share a love unrequited by neither men, even though that their dedication to them was unwavering and unconditional.
Even though they knew that they could never love them back.
Even though they knew full well that it would only end in pain.
Men were, and will always be, more troublesome than anything else.
"I will follow him into anything. Despite his not ever going to love me and his confusing actions. I had hoped to start training with Matrim, to change my path in life some and to stop myself from hurting by cutting it clean with Gabriel. But it did not work. It failed....epically."
This unwavering loyalty to that guy though, made Emily somewhat hesitant, albeit somewhat wary of the relationship the two had. Emily was aware that Gabriel was a rather deviant person; manipulative and particularly tactful, just like "Unfettered", but the latter male pulled it off better - or at least, that's what Emily's biased mind formulated.
"If there is anyone who knows exactly how you feel, it would be me." Emily said, "There was a guy who I loved with all my heart, served willingly and unconditionally and was willing to die for." She trailed off and chuckled. "... I knew he could never love me back, so I decided to find someone else to love - but I never managed to get over that love until it consumed me."
...
"That man I both hate and love; someone I both detest and admire greatly..."
...
She laughed.
"There's really no escape for us; now, is there?"

She would sigh and nod softly.
"Yes...there is no hope. I love him, but he will never love me. I have excepted that fact and try constantly to convince myself to be away from him. To let him go and let him have his life. But I continue to find myself longing for anything he will offer.
I will suffer the pain of knowing all this just to have him touch me one time."
She growled...she hated herself for this and it was tearing her apart inside. She had tried so often since her first meeting with Gabriel to stay away from that man....
But they continued to be drawn back to each other over and over again. It was frustrating as all hell.
Shaking her head, she would draw in a deep breath and settle her nerves.
"One day, I will come to my senses. I am sure of it."
She hoped that Spike would be the one to help her with that. She hoped that he would be the cure to this madness she suffered.

One more time...
Heh, his touch was a luxury that she, herself, had only experienced once; and that was a long, long time ago. No, she wouldn't want to even feel sorry for herself at this point. There were many things that she basically felt that she had to do.
Closure was one of them, but how?
"One day, I will come to my senses. I am sure of it."
"You and me both." Emily said, adjusting her gloves. "Why don't we settle our nerves in a little happy-go-go-fun-fun time?" She suggested, "It's been a while since I've sparred someone female besides my sister..."
..
"What about it, Kev? Just something to deal with our frustrations against those monkeys."

Kevala would smile and nod as she listened to Emily speak.
A spar? That would be a good idea. She thought that it would be nice to actually fight somebody female for a change. All she ever got to do was fight against the men around here. Gabriel, David, Jason, the list went on and on. But rarely did she get the chance to actually go up against another female.
Not that she held out much hope for herself against Emily. But it would be a good fun time none the less.
"Yes, that sounds like a good idea."
She would then smile, before stepping back, her feet settling as she steadied her balance and kept those icy hues on Emily.
She would wait, letting her mind settle and push aside all petty thoughts and what not.
Her main focus now on the other girl. Gods why did she always end up in situations that led to her getting her butt kicked?
