Body shifting as Farren jumped away, Ryu started to stand, joints, muscles, and sinews crackling and popping as he did so. His increased bulk stood to its full height and he turned around, tilting his head from side to side, ridding himself of the pains of the hold. "Not quite Super Saiyan." He commented with a grin. Of all the TV references people made, Dragon Ball was one he actually knew about. "Maybe...more like Kaioken, only not as fast." His grin broadened. That would change at some point, however. His Shaolin Fist was still in it's early stages, even after so many years of training. Basics were basics. It didn't progress until you put it to the test, which is quite what he was doing.
In reality, though, he couldn't even boast Nappa's power. Certainly his power level wasn't over Nine Thousaaand! But it would be, eventually.
Bringing up his arms, he moved toward the old pillar at a decent clip. A brawl wasn't quite the Farren he remembered, but it wasn't far from it. Mimicking professional boxers, Ryu brought his hands higher up and bopped his huge torso slightly before launching a strong left body shot with speed to equal Farren's. Right now, whether or not either of them realized it, they stood on very even ground. Farren's ability would only serve to make obvious the advantages and weak points of Ryu's power.

Here it comes...
I stood my ground and allowed Ryu to take a swing. I was a man of my word, I wouldn't dodge. But in reality, I had lured Ryu into this. He didn't know of my power, MY ability. A technique very unlike those seen among fighters these days. As Ryu's fist came flying I noticed the drop in speed and realized I could react at almost equal terms. Perfect. The low left sailed in and smashed into the right side of my torso, practically inverting my ribs with the force. I groaned loudly, teeth gritted hard and eyes squinted tight, but my body held. Taking blows was practically my speciality. And that's what allowed me to do this...
As Ryu's punch connected, my right hand slammed down and grabbed hold of his wrist - I was unlikely to miss at this range and speed. But as soon as my fingers touched the man's skin, I felt a burst of pain and energy inside my skull, an explosion of color and sound throughout my body that caused me to reel backwards in shock, falling off my feet and landing with a heavy thud on the mats several feet away. I had activated my power, the Even Odds, the moment Ryu had dashed in. And as soon as I touched his wrist the 'bomb' went off. The same explosion and shock I had experienced would have hit Ryu too.
Staring up at the cieling, flat on my back, I coughed hard, growling, forcing the after effects of the 'bomb' out of my system. I rolled onto my stomach and a few long moments later I hauled myself to my knees, then to my feet. Standing a bit shaky on the pads, I took a deep breath and said in a raspy voice, "God DAMN. I don't think I'll ever get used to that..." Straightening up a little and trying to find my composure, I could feel the true effects of the 'bomb' already taking hold.
"Ahhhh, feel that Ryu? Like pure life force leaking out of your skin? That's my ability. Right now, both of us have been affected. Our speed and constitution, our reflexes and stamina, have been dropped to practically nothing, nearly novice level. But I left our strength alone - we can hit just as hard as we ever could. We're just a lot slower now. And..."
"Our bodies are like tin foil now. A single hit from either of us at our power level will decimate the other. Two hits could even kill. Just fair warning. So with that said..." I raised my arms again, fingers curled into fists and feet tapping lightly just like before. "...let's finish this fast. C'mon!"
Technically speaking, I had the upper hand now because I knew exactly what we were getting into. But I had also just taken a massive punch from Ryu and the effects of that blow felt ten times as bad now that my constitution was abysmally low. I breathed heavy, trying to hide the pain I now felt in my side.
It was going to be brutal. And it was going to end in a single, incredible, blow...
(Farren stats for the rest of this fight... STR - 45 DEX - 10 CON - 10 All others remain the same.
Ryu's DEX and CON will also drop to 10 and STR remain normal, but his Qi power is halved in effectiveness, which includes any advantages or disadvantages he gets in his stats. I'll let you do the math...

Ryu's grin broadened slightly as his strike landed and Farren reached for his wrist. This was going to be fun. An all out brawl on even terms. Ryu didn't know what the man's body could take, but from what little he knew, the man could always take more punishment than he could deal. And judging by that knee, his strength was slightly lower than what Ryu's body could sustain. Ryu pressed his fist deeper into the ribs, letting the mans hand descend on his wrist uncontested. His right hand cocked back slightly, looking to make a hard cross right to the mans jaw as he was trying to deal with Ryu's hulked left arm.
Before he could fire it however, a Cannon went off in his face and send them both reeling. Instincts kicking in, Ryu rolled back as his back hit the mat. He, however was not ready for the drop in his bodies physical ability, and with less than a third of his backs durability hitting the ground, he gasped and laid flat out on the mat when his roll was half way through. A huge grimace of pain as his chest and arms pressed against the mat, "What..the fuck?" He gasped. His own strength hurt. Just breathing made his ribs throb excessively, as though he was talking through a shattered ribcage.
Farren then explained his power. What the fuck kind of ass backward power was that? It jacked both fighters power, what use was that to Farren? But then it hit him... Brawling really was just like Farren, wasn't it? And this made the playing field even. It came down to an absolute, all out brawl where the winner was the one who was more skilled... No. Not even. The one who wanted it more....
Ryu's grin returned, and he began to struggle to his feet, trying to make sure that his own strength didn't break him. A small, rasping chuckle escaped Ryu "Finish it, huh? Hahaha...." He laughed and wheezed in a breath, standing to full height. "Then it's down to all or nothing, huh?" His grin was almost unnatural, the pupils of his bright blue eyes dilating, causing his eyes to glow softly in the bright gym lighting.
"THEN LET'S MAKE IT COUNT, FARREN!" Ryu roared in his deep, booming voice as his right arm exploded. His muscles began to tear, the flesh along with it as the limb doubled in size again. Ryu's ultimate attack, Power Strike. It screwed over his attacking limb even with the normal amount of bodily endurance he possessed... Now however, blood spurted from various points along the bicep and triceps. Blood began leaking through that black bracer of his, the only article of clothing that was still on his upper body.
Roaring broadly in a guttural battlecry, Ryu charged toward Farren, feeling as though he were running through water for the dismal speed his body now possessed. Once barely within range, his left foot stepped deep and wide, and his whole body rocked forward. The right side chest was round about where Ryu was aiming, hitting the left would kill the man for sure. Hell, even this was likely to destroy them both for a good long while. His body surged to deliver a hay maker that would make the gods jealous. This was the end, without a doubt. The only remaining question was who would come out on top... Would either of them?
According to your bio, Qi remains unaffected at your current level. Items however, have their boostings halved. PM me if you think my calculations are wrong, I'll edit.
Str: 62 [223] (Unaffected by Even odds, x1.2, x1.55, [x3]) Dex: 10 (+1.5, x1.1, x.8) Con: 17 (x 1.1, x1.55)
+1.5 comes from +3 shoes, first multiplier (1.1 and 1.2) come from costume item, other multipliers come from Shaolin Fist.
*[] note: Power strike charged in right arm.

My eyes went wide. That, that...was not normal. Apparently Ryu had been hiding an ace in the hole. Something big, something dangerous. His right arm, the muscles, seemed to take on a life of their own, popping and flexing, rippling and bulging in all directions. Blood seeped from under his bracer, staining it wet and dark. And then he came in, howling. He seemed to run in slow motion, but then again, so did I. It was a horrifying sight really - your mind working 100x faster than your body. You can see and picture everything perfectly but do nothing about it. Like sinking in quicksand. The man was on top of me. I tried to move my feet but it wasn't enough. No choice: I'd have to take the punch. I could see where he was aiming, aiming for my chest, the right side. I twisted my body away as much as I could and bent down slightly so the punch was level with the top of my head and not my chest. Then I held up my right arm across my face like a shield and placed my left hand on the back of my wrist to act like a bracer. I planted my feet and braced for impact. A millisecond before the fist hit, I quietly, fearfully said, "This is gonna hurt..."Then lightning struck. Ryu's knuckles slammed into my forearm full force. The bones and flesh shattered like tissue paper. My radius and ulna broke, snapped, right in the center of my forearm, blowing backwards towards my head. The splintered ends of the bones pierced the skin and sprayed hot blood into my eyes. It happened so fast the pain didn't even register at first. My right arm collapsed against my body and, with my torso twisted away from the punch, I was sent spinning backwards and away at an angle, half out of shock, half out of pure force. My head escaped unharmed, my arm having taken everything. I crashed into the mats hard, too hard. I bounced for a few feet, body tumbling and rolling over wildly. I came to a stop on my left side, looking back towards Ryu. My right arm hung useless, drapped like a shredded rag down onto the floor. Finally the pain set in. I screamed. "AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!"White hot needles sliced through my brain, my entire right side a wall of agony. I thrashed on my back, slamming my head into the mats again and again, teeth gritted so tight my gums began to bleed. I clamped my eyes shut, clutching my mangled limb with my left hand. I gasped and wheezed, my breath raspy and fast. Finally looking down, I saw the extent of the damage. Pearly white bone peeked out at me, blood dripping down and staining the pads. The blow was so beyond bruising that everything was already a deep shade of purple and yellow. If I didn't get medical attention in the next thirty minutes...I could lose my arm. But I couldn't stop now. After something like that Ryu would be hurting too, maybe even more. His arm was already shattering before he hit me. His entire fist was probably powder at this point. If I could just get up, deliver one final blow, I could claim victory. And then get the hell out of here. I forced my body to stand, holding my right arm close to my chest. My only saving grace, the only thing that kept me from passing out from pure pain, was the fact I'd gone through worse than this already. You don't think I survived Stage IV lung cancer through voodoo magic, do you? No, no, this arm was close, but still not the same. Staggering towards Ryu, vision sketchy, I got as close as I could. Then I screamed, bellowed my deepest war cry, and threw a hard, fast soccer-style kick to his forehead with my right leg. If it struck, if it even got blocked half way, Ryu would be fucking out cold. And I would walk away, limp away, the victor. But honestly...at what cost? Farren[s forearm looks kind of like this now, except the gash is longer, covering most of the arm. Warning, NOT for the faint hearted...

Practically every bone in Ryu's arm splintered. Not an inch across and through it didn't have at least a hairline fracture. Blood poured from dozens of gashes, both shallow and deep, dripping to the floor in disturbingly copious amounts. In reality, Ryu's arm had been spared much of the damage that could have happened. None of his bones were popping out unlike poor Farren. In reality, the thing that had just destroyed his arm was what had saved it. The musculature. The sheer mass of the muscles that had occupied Ryu's right arm had insulated much of the damage that his own attack caused.
The arm hung uselessly at his side. Fuck that, less than useless. At least under normal circumstances it was still in one piece. He couldn't move it for a while, but it was intact. Here? Shit.... From the hand to the rotator cuff, even part of the shoulder was in pieces, but at the very least it was all contained within the broken flesh. Ryu's left arm clutched at his shoulder, whole body shaking. But he didn't scream. Like Farren, Ryu had been through worse. The aftermath of the wound that had caused the scar on his back had been worse than this... Then again, right now he was doped up on every drop of adrenaline his body could provide him. His whole body shook, and his chest heaved as he panted.
Misty blue eyes locked on Farren as he moved back toward Ryu. The man prepared another attack, and Ryu couldn't help but laugh. Not very loud, but a sort of wheezing chuckle. The leg came up and Ryu grit his teeth. Sliding his own right leg back, he grunted of the movement jarring his arm and launched his left arm up as he crouched. Almost completely avoiding the kick in terms of a dodge, his left arm launched up to clip the underneath of that leg, and launch it the rest of the way off course. The bones in his left arm now would start to complain for the sheer power of their attacks, but Farren would be left now with less of a leg to stand on. "So much for grand finale, huh, Farren?" He'd say slowly with a pained voice. They both needed to get out of there... Problem was, neither could carry the other, even if Farren's power stopped working... They were both too hurt.. And neither would give up now, so that they both could get to the nurse and be sent to the hospital.

Sucker. Ryu was good, I'll give him that. But tipping the kicking leg out of the way from underneath? I'd just done that same move at the beginning of the fight. Of course I knew how to counter. Pivoting on my left heel and drawing my arms in tight I pushed into the tip and spun in place like a figure skater, easy enough to do in my bare feet. Coming back around, I knew I had one last shot to make a dent in the big man. After that...well I didn't want to think about that. I could feel my legs wanting to give out as it was. As I came back around I announced loudly, "Finale THIS!" Hey, I was hurt and tired and my arm was fucking broke, you come up with a better comeback.
I had one chance. As I turned to face Ryu again I threw my left arm out, fingers curled tightly into a fist. I would literally spin right into Ryu, backhanding him with the back of my fist as I came around. It wouldn't be a mammoth shot but at our current states it'd be more than enough to lay him out flat and have him seeing stars. Regardless of what happened I'd collapse like a ton of bricks afterwards, crumpling to the mats in a heap. That was my last act of defiance for today. I'd have to lay out for a moment, sucking air hard, summoning up the strength to drag myself out of this place. I'd release the effects of my power once I saw what happened to Ryu...

One thing that was still intact from Farren's power was their eyes. Their ability to perceive attacks. While both of their eyes were glazed over with pain, they could still see each others moves coming. ...Well, partially. That left arm that was still up in the air braced for impact as more blood dripped and splashed from his arm. His legs slid into a more friendly position and his teeth grit as Farren whipped around.
With a grunting hiss of a wince, Ryu's forearm bones bent with the impact of the strike. Pushing off of the fist and dropping his arm to the side, Ryu's feet shuffled back as he tried to keep balanced. Arm swaying dangerously, his left reached up and gripped his shoulder as soon as he was able. Through one eye-- the other closed for pain-- Ryu saw that Farren was on the ground. Breathing raggedly, he waited, trying to recover some strength himself.
After a minute, "Neither one of us are going to give it up. You know that." In a voice as choppy as the breath going in and out of that muscular chest. "What say you and I call this one a draw... And get the hell out of here. Pick it up next time, when I'm not feeling suicidal." He laughed with the last, his left hand gripping slightly tighter of his shoulder. Farren would know what he was talking about.
He grunted in pain as the bruising of his left arm suddenly stacked the pain he was feeling. Hell, at this point, he might just pass out from the pain of it all before they even got downstairs. Let alone to the nurse. Hmm, didn't they have a radio system for this shit? The PA to the main office or something?

Flat on my back, hacking up spit to breathe, my arm hurt so bad it was numb, I couldn't do anything but agree. I draped my left arm over my eyes, feeling the sweat drip off my skin and stain the mats, mingling with drops of blood. "I think yer right Ryu. Let's call it a day, eh?" With that I took a deep breath, made a concentrated effort, and released the hold my power had against us. Instantly a flash of light, similar to the one before, blasted across the surface of my mind. Only this time instead of an explosion it felt like an implosion, thousands of shining points forcing themselves into my head. I gritted my teeth one last time as the painfully full feeling settled in, then mellowed out.
Right away I could feel my body strengthening, my stamina and pain tolerance returning. My arm, though it still screamed in protest, dropped to a barely manageable agony. God that felt good, like getting laid and drunk and high and then going sober again all at once. I sat up on the mats, pulling my useless right arm close to my body. I stood up with a little effort and staggered slightly to keep my balance. Ryu would be feeling the returned power himself in a moment. Casually, as if nothing had happened, I said,
"Well now, that was fun. I think you'll feel well enough to make it to the hospital on your own, Ryu. I suggest skipping the school nurse - I know for a fact she never graduated med-school."
I started to walk away, stepping over to my clothes and picking them up gingerly. I'd clean up the pads and dummies later, there wasn't a gym class scheduled for the rest of the day. I called back to Ryu as I left the gym, "If you're ever feeling psychotic again, stop by my office. I didn't become the Guidance Counselor just for the chicks." And then as I passed through the double doors I jokingly yelled back, "But it is a nice perk!"

Ryu breathed a sigh of relief as the man agreed with the psycho. He didn't have to stay on such high guard any more, and concentrated instead on his arm. He grunted as he tried to move it, pain wracking every inch of the destroyed limb. Instantly, his pain haggard mind began racing the depths of his memory, looking for a name. He stared at the arm. A normal hospital wouldn't be able to do anything for...this. No, he needed a certain medical specialist. One he hadn't had when his back had been rent open. One who only came at beckon call when a case was 'interesting'. Hopefully, this arm of his would be interesting enough for that one.
The release of the Qi power pulled the thoughts from his head, however. Or should I say, crammed them back down as his power and strength was slammed back into his body, reversing the process that had occurred before. Instantly, his body felt better. His left arm barely felt a thing compared to the right. He didn't feel exhausted any more... But his right arm... Right then was when a dull throbbing started. He felt every pulse of blood as more of it leaked onto the floor. Fuck.
Following Farren's lead, Ryu headed over to the bleachers where he had tossed his crap. Letting his right arm hand precariously, he picked up his things as carefully as the older man had, and started to walk towards the other door on the other side of the gym. "Dumbass." He called after Farren for the 'chicks' comment. "Besides," He laughed. "You won't like me when I'm feeling psychotic." Did he just? Pretty much... It was true though. Even Even Odds ((¬_¬)) wouldn't save the man from Chaos. Even if they repeated the events of today to the letter, Chaos would have kept going, breaking every bone in Ryu's body if it meant he got the kill.
As Ryu carefully made his way down the stairs, his mind went back on that medical specialist... Ryu was going to need that person's powers if he was going to recover from this fight.
