"Methinks the cafeteria has some goods a hidden!" Addie said and Matrim's spirits were lifted, "Captains first."
Matrim smiled at her and took the lead into the kitchen, the door closing behind Addie as he started searching, "Thanks Matrim. I felt behind of everyone, I thought if I could catch up to you guys, I'd be useful to you. Maybe if I became strong, you guys would stick around. That if I became strong, I could make a difference, I could help in things that effect the school, to stop those who come to harm those I care about. I just want to help in someway..."
"Dumbass," Matrim said under his breath, probably audible enough for her to catch it. He turned and would pull her into a hug, "You are useful. It doesn't take physical strength to be useful, I mean look at me I'm pretty useless at times, I can't always protect others and I certainly can't always protect myself," He'd say, holding her close, "But you can make those around you stronger by giving them something to fight for. Not just fighting to protect but fighting knowing that someone's there for them when the fights over."
Matrim would pull away from the hug, "You have no idea how much strength Sara gives me," He said, smiling, "Or how much drive I have because I have Shayne. I know going into a fight no matter what I'm going to win and come out alive, just to see Shayne and Sara again," He'd then turn and open a fridge, seeing a lot of left overs, but also some eggs, milk, various vegetables, and cheeses Matrim immediately thought.....
"You like omelet's?"

She had been rummaging through a fridge only to hear the soft words of Matrim...He was calling her a dumbass, which was probably a good title for her. Since, it was pretty foolish, the lust for power to protect and help. The stupid drive that sent her into battle against people, that ended up getting her hurt. It wasn't long before she was pulled into a hug, it was like having a talk with an older brother; even though he was younger. Living through more and having more to draw experience from, Matrim was a bear of wisdom. Speaking his mind and telling her that she didn't need to become strong for such reasons. Or that was what she got from it.
It felt like having a sibling whens he was around Matrim, which was a nice feeling. Growing up without people around, it was easing to know people noticed her and cared in a way. Smiling as the large young man turned to the fridge, he wasn't as scary as he had seemed before. Making her way to the cupboards, Addie would open a few of them; in search for noms. There was a suggestion from Matrim, a delicious one at that!
"That sounds wonderful Matie!" The brunette laughed as she looked for a frying pan, " I'll get the pan." There was a warm feeling about it all. Like siblings sneaking in the kitchen while mom was out. She was feeling a little better about everything, albeit she did feel like an idiot for fighting matrim. Though, what happened happened, she couldn't change it.
Frying pan, if she was one...where would she be?
Rushing to the stove, she'd crouch down and open the drawer. LOW AND BEHOLD!
FRYING PAN, BITCHES!
Pulling the frying pan from the stove, like the sword from a stone, Addie stood triumphantly in the glory of the dim kitchen lights that dangled above.
"And on the fourth day, god said let yeh make a delicious meal massacring chickens before they hatch, and so there were omelette's!"

"And on the fourth day, god said let yeh make a delicious meal massacring chickens before they hatch, and so there were omelette's!" She said and Matrim bowed before her, kneeling down with an arm almost bent like a v over his chest, kneeling his head as far low as it could go.
"Long live the Omelette King!" Matrim would say before getting up and then stood up smiling, grabbing a couple eggs and a bowl, "We thank you oh chickens who have not yet been for your sacrifice to the omelette king!" He said, cracking a few eggs for the first omelette, putting the egg into the bowl before throwing away the shells. He grabbed a fork from a drawer and began mixing the eggs, breaking the yolk and getting them ready to put into the frying pan, which hopefully Addie was already started getting that ready.
He opened the fridge with the bowl in one arm, second arm mixing it, once again he came across a situation where he could be... well.. useful in a weird way, "Just so you know, being able to do this," Matrim said, creating third and fourth arms to grab a bunch of veggies and such, namely bell pepper, onions, and a brick of cheese over to a cutting board, "Really really freaks me out... every time...."
He would set down the bowl with the mixed omelette and retreat the extra arms, no longer in need of them at that moment, a chill running down his spine, "Really freaks me out... how goes the pan! Is there anything else we need? Maybe I should go look for a can of black olives or something!" He said, waiting to hear back from her on her opinion of what else they could put into some omolette's.

Matrim's display was quite the interesting sight. All hail the omelette's king! Yes, that sounded marvelous, she couldn't help but laugh at it all. Being around someone was really fun, the amusing things said and done, they warmed the heart. Making memories, like that faithful winter day when she met Matrim and Aternity. Which, was amusing in so many ways. She smiled and turned to the stove, turning it on and rummaging through nearby cupboards...
THIS OMELETTE WOULD NOT STICK!!!!
She would not have it! A small amount of oil in the pan spread out, she'd set it down at let the frying pan heat up. Turning to watch Matrim as he grew extra hands. Making note that it was probably very handy...hur hur hur hur....handy.
"Wait, this is your Qi? Extra arms? Weren't you Mr. Invincible before? I mean, nothing could hurt you, what happened?" Addie questioned, sounding like an annoying little sister as she got closer and poked him in the shoulder, looking up at him with a bright smile on her face,"How did it happen? huh? huh?"
She was curious.
Maybe he qi was changing? Maybe she'd be able to reawaken it, who knew?
It was worth a shot! never give up! Never give in. Continue to fight. Whatever magic phrase people used to keep them confident in the worst of times... It was all the same, she wasn't going to stop, even if the people she wanted to protect, could already protect themselves. She wanted to help them...somehow.

"Wait, this is your Qi? Extra arms? Weren't you Mr. Invincible before? I mean, nothing could hurt you, what happened? How did it happen? huh? huh?"
"Actually," Matrim said, beginning to chop up vegetables, "The arms thing isn't really Qi. I can uhh... I can set myself on fire, and the flames burn others and not me. It also kinda makes me a bit faster and stronger. The arms thing was a gift of sorts, a trinket that allows me to do that, I was given it from a friend, named Linda."
It was one of his parting gifts, along with her Bone Dragon gloves, the Talons so to speak. Matrim chopped away at the vegetables though, looking over at Addie, "My Qi changed drastically, I mean I still couldn't really focus it at first, I can now but it drains me to, so it's just all over my body you know? Sort of pouring out of me. Same as always in that aspect. But it got a little more offensive when I got a little more... aggressive."
Matrim trailed off a bit and said, "So yeah you change drastically and sometimes your Qi goes away as a result. And usually that means it's changed. It doesn't mean it's punishing you or anything, your Qi is you, and if you change than it only makes sense that it would too you know? The trick is to get it back up again. Just like you learned your initial Qi, so just train up."
He smiled over at her as he finished cutting up some veggies, and then moved onto shredding cheese, "How's the stove heating up?"

There was so much she had missed out on, so many things that had happened to her friends; she never knew. Regretting her lack of communication, Addie looked down at the pan sadly. Wishing there would be a way she'd one day be able to get involved with everyone, more so then in a chance meeting; maybe she was asking for too much. His words were always filled with such wisdom on certain topics, it was almost as if he knew the fears in her head; more so then just by being told. She changed, antisocial and cynical to become someone social, someone who wishes to make others happy. Living for one's self was a way of life that had long since passed, being along was a way of the past.
There was a smile on her face as she nodded. Her Qi was her and she just needed to wake it up again, like awakening her qi. That day was scary, it almost seemed like a dream. It was truly something that had happened, it was so unbelievable. Although, no one knew what had happened, it would probably be best if it stayed that way. But to reawaken a dormant part of her, to bring forth something to make her powerful... Could she really be capable of such a thing?
"The stove is ready!! It's time to make noms!" Addie spoke happily as she turned to look at Matrim, a smile on her face even whilst she thought of unpleasant things; she was magic that way. What could bring it forth? After all, those only things that changed were her social habits and happiness. Maybe, she needed to be alone and sad again. Perhaps then it could come forth... Would taking a step back mentally bring her the power she wished for?
"Are you ready for this!?" The brunette questioned with a smirk as she started to hum a song from Space Jam. Trying to be humourous and have a little fun with the kitchen. It was worth a shot....always.

"The stove is ready!! It's time to make noms!" She said, and he smiled over at her. She turned towards him returning it he excitedly got the bowl of omelette goo ready to put into the pan, "Are you ready for this!?" She started humming a tune Matrim didn't exactly recognize not having watched many movies as a kid, but went with it and even danced a bit as he would reach over her to pour the egg into the pan, once it had all been poured in he would pull it away, and whistle along to the tune once he got enough to go off of. He would then grab a couple eggs and start juggling them. If she was looking for some fun and such she would get it, juggling them higher and higher and carefully catching them, while he wasn't an especially experienced juggler, the math in his head along with his natural reactive abilities allowed him to perform this feat. Nodding along he would spot a radio nearby. Raaaadiooooo..... Catching the eggs he would say, "How about some music?" And pressing on the radio a song came on he had never heard, and while he wasn't into the style it fit his mood to some extent so he went with it. Cracking the eggs for the second omelette and getting that ready he would start dancing a bit to the music, shaking his head not exactly being serious but more goofy with it, looking at her he would use the wooden spoon against the bowl along with the beat a bit. Well this is definitely getting pretty fun, no matter how silly it is.

Matrim was juggling eggs, and dancing along to the song she was humming, it was funny. Although, the fact he was juggling rather well, was only to be expected; it was matrim after all! Addie couldn't help but laugh at it, watching the young man as he danced. it was funny, especially with so many arms; it was surprising that it was a...gift from someone..A little weird.. Okay, really.... But yeah. There was a smile on her face as she looked at the stove for a moment, checking the omlette, she didn't wish for it to burn. "Music would be good."Then...he turned it on..... .__. Staring off into space for a few moments, it was so not her cup of tea. Regardless, Addie would dance to the music, looking silly; but it didn't matter. She was having fun. Watching the noms cook, oh yeah; it was smelling good. *____* The song was short lived, but right after it another song started up. Once again, not her cup of tea, but regardless; she'd dance along to it. It would be a fun afternoon! WITH GOOD NOMS! [[OOC: Sorry about the post -___- muse is lame ]]
