Jaus wasn't much of a card player, in fact he'd given up gambling since he returned to the states but then again that unhealthy habit struck in again. Poker was his game of choice, swindling a few folks out of their lunch money, mainly freshman because he knew well enough he wasn't yet strong enough to stand against the big players without useful support. He kinda neglected that feeling. Back at Alaska he was top dog, even Captain at one point, now he was bottom of the barrel.
Regardless of the price he'd make his mark here as well. Perhaps not to his former glory but something of an enigma to learn from. A subtle smirk as he revealed a straight flush. A short chuckle en tow as he racked in the money with a single limb.
"Better luck next time boys..."

grav watched as this new kid started hustling his customers. it was not very nice to steal anothers costumers. he watched and planned. he grabbed his jacket and his hat and put them on. he slowly lifted his body from the seated position he was in and made his way to the crowd that had gathered. keeping himself inconspicuous.
grav watched as more and more fell to this.... kids hand. each time it happened it made him angrier and angrier. until finally grav couldnt take it anymore. he needed to teach this kid a lesson. he needed to show him who the true cardshark around here was.
grav sat down keeping his face covered and he simply laid out $100 dollars on the table. and said sullenly, quietly, and lowly
"just you and me this hand"
grav smiled underneath the shade of his hat and waited for the boys response.
"unless youre not confident in your card abilities"

Jaus stared back defiantly at the kid, of course he wasn't one to put down a challenge, he'd always enjoyed a little one here and there although his card playing abilities in his opinion were mediocre it was all about reading the other players not playing your best hand, which was the enjoyable part. Watching their fear integrate into their features as a hand of two's and three's beats a flush or a pair. Always fun in his mind.
"By all means player..." Jaus reflected quickly as he dealt out a hand quickly.
the flip of the first three seeing as the stakes were down to one hundred dollars it was best that they play based on sheer luck t would seem.
The cards at play were a 4 of clubs, a 7 of clubs, 3 of diamonds, 3 of spades and a 3 of clubs. The game was set out before them set for the best of luck whomever possessed it best.
"If you fold you keep your money till a better hand comes up, other wise we go all in. Sound good player."

grav looked at the cards layed before him. he hadnt even touched his own cards. that was his style. play it cool, psych out his competition. besides, it is way more fun that way.
"so it looks like an interesting little hand we got here. perhaps you would like to fold?"
grav smirked and laughed. he kept his hands behind his head interlaced to support his head. he waited for the kid to show his hand but before he could, grav had an idea.
"before you touch your cards, lets make this a bit more interesting. hows about the winner of this card match, gets to take the other as their slave for a week."
grav liked to play, and he loved to fuck with his opponent. this was just another tactic.

Jaus smirked in retaliation enjoying the player's mindset across from him. Of course he'd be a loud mouth preppy kid, of all things he'd expected from a hat and some very flashy cloths despite a low profile. It was humorous enough that Jaus would simply talk in a refined manner back.
"How's about I say fuck you and we continue along with our little game."
Jaus said fluently checking his own cards. A 3 of hearts and a jack of spades. More then enough to knock out another victory for himself. Though taunting would be very useful here to provoke his foe further.
"Its a shame you have to be reduced to mud slinging, I suppose it's compensating for your weakness." Jaus chuckled slightly playing with his hand.

grav doesnt take lightly to being insulted. there was no reason for rudeness. this was of course a friendly game of cards. grav lifted his head so the shadow on his face disappeared. he looked the kid dead in the eye with his purple lookers.
he had a death glare on the kid. he simply said calmly
"i dont like it when young punks are rude to me...."
he clenched his fists and prepared for a fight. he could feel one coming. the crowd created a circle around the two of them... a large circle. finally a hush came over the crowd when grav opened his mouth again
"i think you should apologize....."
gravs fists got tighter and his glare more intense. he was ready for anything. standing only a few feet from the kid with nothing but cards and money between the two of them he examined the surroundings, nothing but ground and cards.... perfect.
grav smirked at the thought.

Jaus could sense the fight on the horizon, something he'd expected from those first few words out of the guy's mouth. Perfect, just what he was looking forward to. A bit of bloody knuckles would do him some good in fact he hadn't felt pain since Gabriel punched him through a wall but a day ago. Jaus would simply sit there and snicker enjoying getting under the poor boy's skin.
"I'd suggest you calm down before someone puts you in your place." Jaus would chuckle a bit more leaning back in the chair he'd placed himself.
He'd be ready, the cards in his hand and a balled fist in the other ready for a quick two minute tustle, no way the boy was any match at all.

grav was not happy with the KID. he didnt like it when someone smaller and younger disrespected him.
"hehe if your so tough why dont you 'put me in my place'?"
grav smirked and kept his cool.
"i mean if your so great you will put me down in no time right? or are you too afraid? or do you just not have the balls for it?"
grav simply waited for the boy to make a move. he wasnt going to throw the first blow, wasnt gravs style in these situations.
"well? im waiting little boy"

Jaus' fade figuratively shifted away dampening into a frown, a calm passive stare. Not that he was angry merely irritated by the player, he was a pest and a nuisance now that needed to be dealt with in a fowl swoops.
"Well I guess it is the MAN's obligation to get down to business I assume I shall do the same." Jaus said setting down his cards as he calmly walked out from the table hands drawn.
Easy, peasy lemon squeezie. Jaus dropped quickly into an offensive position his knees bent and arms ready in a horse stance before he charged at Grav his right fist firing first towards the face following it up with a steady kick to the lower torso to remove him from the seat.

grav saw him rise up and did nothing. he simply sat there he new what was coming. there were only two places for this kid to attack, the face and the stomach. thank god for seated positions.
grav saw the boy advance with a punch and did something ridiculous. he used his feet to push back and keep the two back legs of the chair in place as the front two lifted up. the chair tipped over with him in it. grav dodged the punch and with this motion sent a kick for the boys chin.
grav put his hands behind him to release into a backwards actionroll into a standing defensive postion. reverse southpaw.
"come and get it"

Catching the kick in the chin was a slight disadvantage catching him nervously off guard. His feet faltered back catching himself. It was powerful undoubtedly but of course nothing beyond his means of control. Jaus would yet to need to fall back onto his trick card here, that was to be in store for later on if necessary at this point all he'd seen was some showy motions nothing beyond control.
"Cake."
Jaus would lunge again pulling a similar move although tis time he'd engage with the left punch firing to the boy's face following up a shin kick to perhaps drop him to the floor. If he fell Jaus would drop an elbow into his face.

grav recieved the punch and the kick. it was a bitch to handle but he managed. he dropped to the ground and from there he had some fun. he saw the kids elbow coming at him and luckily grav thought fast enough to grab the kids right shoe and use his charger glove to lighten it just a bit so as to throw him off balance.
grav would then roll out of the way and stand up back into his southpaw stance.
if this didnt work then he would recieve the blow and get angry. hopping up immediately and sending three swift punches to the boys face followed by a kick to the chest to send him flying.

Jaus' boot felt the adverse effects of the boy's strange ability, thats all he caught onto at the moment that he had some sort of ability that granted that. Flinching Jaus resisted the blow but swiveled and used the lighter boot to kick the boy headlong across his face. Given that it was lighter the force of it would be increased giving Jaus a momentary boost. Though the change was hard to altercate.
Following up with prior strikes Grav came in at him with a violent speed hitting him first Jaus was only able to block the first two taking the third to the face and kicked across the cafeteria into a wall making a rigid impact as the wall crumpled and shattered.
"Gah... Not too bad for a preppy asshole." Jaus smiled shaking off the pain as he dusted his coat off from the ruble. He figured he'd need a new advantage soon enough but so long as the boy remained on the defensive Jaus wouldn't need to take it off.

grav looked at him and simply smiled. saying nothing he ran towards the chair he was sitting in and kicked it up. he activated his qi to whip it around with more force and sent it at the kid.
grav ran swiftly behind it ready to send a right hook into the boys ear followed by a left uppercut to his chin and a roundhouse kick to the side of his face.
"let me know when you have had enough"
grav laughed and went into his defensive pose.

Raising his right hand Jaus would deflect the small plastic chair feeling it dig into his arm before being tossed aside along the ground by a sideswipe to the ear. Jaus took a second to recover as he pulled himself together, damn this boy just took some time to warm up it'd seem. Shrugging Jaus would ignore his statement before reaching under his coat and tossing it aside.
Where it'd land Jaus would pay little attention to because when it'd hit it'd rupture the ground sending cracks through it. weighted clothing had it's perks, certainly one of them was its ability to shock opponents that you'd been fighting them all this while with it.
"I've been holding back..." Jaus smiled before running at Grav full force an uppercut digging into his chin before he shifted sending the right fist towards his face.
"Oops..." A short snicker to follow.
