It's all "Relative" (Astrid)

[Takeshi Sudeki]

Takeshi had family here, but they weren't the type of family he wanted to be around. They were members of the branch family, all gathered in one school. Even the Sudeki Clan Vanguard went here, Takeshi wanted to fight him, to know what it was they were putting out for the cannon fodder. And he wanted to find his enemies quickly, and swiftly bring an end to them. Every Katashi must be completely wiped off of the planet in order to preserve the clan, to bring vengeance to the ones who diminished their numbers, and to give them enough peace to begin growing once more.

Takeshi wanted to make sure he knew everything of this school, to learn of the way it worked. But more than that he wanted to at least come into contact with his family members and seek them out, he would know them by their looks thankfully, it wasn't always hard to find a Sudeki, either dark or blonde hair, certain traits about them, especially branch family who were only part Japanese, and before long you had yourself a way to find them out.

As fortune would have it, he saw Astrid, and recognized her. He being family and all knew she was here, knew Leon and Spike were here, and he knew, "Cousin," He would simply say as he approached her with a slight bit of venom, "It's nice to see someone here that I recognize, at least. You are Astrid right? It's not always easy to find people you haven't met. I'm Takeshi," He said. She wasn't his first cousin, in fact he wasn't sure if she was second or third or more than that. But somewhere down the line she was a relative of the same generation. So he went with that as a title, "I just arrived a couple days ago."

He'd wait for a response from her to make sure it was her.

Astrid had just found Uncle Leon and Spike and she was happy as she could be given the situation. But things still had a long way to go before she could manage to fully feel as though she was starting to heal from the damage that the murder of her parents had dealt her.

Shrugging her bag onto her shoulder, she would reach up, tucking a bit of her hair behind her ear as she closed her locker. Today she had a lot to get done. She had to finish her essay for English, had two tests to study for and she also had to get in her hour of violin practice.

It was a full schedule to say the least. But just as she was about to leave to her next class she would hear a single word spoke in her directions.

Her brow raising. It did not sound like Spike, so naturally it had caught her interest. Turning she would face a male who was clearly a Sudeki, and clearly of the main branch. It was apparent to her the difference in the two halves of this whole.

Then he introduced himself and she would bow her head to him slightly. Tradition and upbringing was a bitch to break free from. Her brown eyes shifting to meet his as she smiled softly now.

"Takeshi correct? I am happy to see you here Cousin. I hope that you are finding things agreeable in this place since your arrival?"

She was branch yes, but her Mother and Father had made every effort to raise her as a proper Sudeki female. Teaching her how to properly speak to the males and how to do all other things expected of the females. Not that it mattered really, but, she was not one to stray from the way she had been raised when the situation called for it.

"Takeshi correct? I am happy to see you here Cousin. I hope that you are finding things agreeable in this place since your arrival?" She had bowed her head, slightly but it was still definitely appreciated to be shown respect as he should be. The only problem was he wasn't really finding things agreeable. He wasn't exactly thrilled to be here, but low and behold he was.

"Not especially," He said, "I'm a bit upset with what I've heard concerning our current Vanguard, so tell me, do you know the truth of what is going on? I want to make sure my facts are straight and I'm sure you are to be just as upset as me if they are. After all, they were the ones who murdered your family, members of our clan."

He was hoping he'd get some kind of reaction from her.

She heard his words and would nod softly, her tone gentle as she spoke. That ladylike tone her Mother had drilled into her head.

"I am sorry Cousin to hear that things are not to your liking. As for our Vanguard. Yes, I have heard much concerning him."

She fell silent. The last of his comment hitting a very touchy nerve with her and causing her to once more feel that pain swelling up inside of her. She struggled to stay under control. He was family, but so were Uncle Leon and Spike. To speak ill of them was something she could not do.

"Yes, the Katashi's were the cause of my parent's murder. I witnessed this act myself as I am sure you know. It is...upsetting to me the things that I have seen and heard here....but they are family...I trust in their judgment."

She was being as honest as she could. She was respectful of the clan and their ways..and loyal to family. It was what kept the Sudeki's from being just a common place family line. They stuck together despite how they may view one another. But she really did love Leon and Spike. More than anything. She was just unsure of this thing with Kevala. It worried her.
