He felt the slightest flicker of hostility issue from her, and made the mental preparations that required. You couldn't trust anyone, he wasn't sad about it, it was merely a fact, just like you needed air to breathe. There was no such thing as peace, only times in which two people were less likely to kill one another than others. He continued to listen intently, however, taking in the information she gave. The hostility had lasted the length of a thought, and maybe that was all it had been. Of course, that was no reason to let one's guard down. If he was prepared, took the attack correctly, well, then she'd suffer a tragic fall. Sad that such a young life had to end like that and all the other garbage people spewed. But she didn't attack him, and oddly, Adrian found that he was... glad? Was that the name of that feeling? He wasn't sure.
So, these people she had mentioned before had been mainly been pillars and captain, made sense that these were strong, though from what he could hear that had not been the sole criteria. Good, 'll make them easier to topple. I thought I told you to stay the fuck out of this conversation! The internal dialogue was interrupted as Adrian's corporeal conversation partner revealed the name fourth pillar's identity. What? This time, the moment of hostility, the length of a brief thought, came from Adrian, but it only lasted as long. "I guessed I should have seen that one coming." He grinned, his surprise was genuine for once. "Well, that only proves my point, dunnit? There're some things this place could've done worse." This... could be bad. "So, what's it like? Being a big, bad pillar? It's gotta come with some perks to compensate for all the crap you gotta take from your fellow students, right?"

"Well if you think that bossing people around all day is fun then that would be a perk I guess." she shrugged. "For me my main reason in accepting the job was merely to become stronger. The school captain had promised to train me and Kevala when we took our jobs so that was why I was interested. That and since you do become a target to others that seek power you do meet dome interesting opponents." Didn't take her too long to meet her first challenge, though he did beat her she did find herself a rival. Chances were Mitsukai would meet someone else who would try to take her title again. Someone who would test her skills and in a way that was a good thing, she needed to fight others to learn and grow. That was normally how she bettered herself anyway.

It sounded sensible, accepting the post to take lessons from someone stronger than yourself. Problem was, Adrian strongly disliked doing exactly that. Letting your guard down around people, in general, was a bad idea, you never knew what they might do. Interesting opponents, now they were speaking the same language! Opponents you knew where you had, and you knew that when they came at you, you were allowed to hurt them. The same, Adrian had found a few years ago, was not true for one's boxing instructor. He had been lucky that no charges were pressed, lucky, and not a little pleased. But I digress.
"Doesn't sound like a bad deal." He conceded, though he wasn't too envious at her having a strong trainer. Having people above you could be a problem, a big one when you had trust issues like Adrian did. "So it's not all bad, by the sound of it." Adrian's first thought, when he had heard he was going to a High School employing the Pillar system, was that he was going to rip each and every one of them from their lofty positions and plunge the school into lovely, lovely chaos. But since he had come here, he had first of all quickly found that the people here where a good deal mroe powerful than what he was used to fighting, not to mention himself. Instead, he had resigned himself to learn from those he could, to take in what was around him, to become stronger and, hopefully, one day be able to surpass all the other students here. Not that he cared much for the title, but he needed to be able to take care of Mother and Father, and in order to do that, he needed to be able to destroy those who threatened them. More importantly, he needed to stay out of hospital, and he'd already been there once. He needed to improve his skills.
"You know Mitsu, I was thinking." He drummed his finger-tips against each other in a slow, steady rhythm. "I really enjoyed our little spar the other day, and that you might be interested iin grabbing a few more rounds some other time?" Those eyes, they were a distraction. You could sometimes forget that you were actually there when you looked into them. He shook his head clear and moved on. "If you want, we can have a judge or something, but you strike me as the type who'd rather skip the formalities. I know good place down-town, gymnastics hall away from all the morons and bravos here, though if you want we can also do it here. What do you say?"

Another Spar? That sounded great to Mitsukai. The only person she had ever really sparred with often was Drea and though Drea was a good opponent it never hurt to test one's strength with others. And Adrian was a very good fighter, it would be interesting to go against him again. There was a lot they could both gain from the experience.

"Anywhere and any time is good for me." She said as she stood up to face him. "If you really want to get started now I am more then willing to fight you right now."

Adrian grinned. "You're on. But I think we should head downstairs first so, you know, nobody finds themselves trying to fly." What parts of the school would be reachable now? Gymnastics was probably in use, but there was of course always the quiet little patch of ground out back, where the outdoor sports took place. And it was too cold to practice sports out today. "The outdoor sport-section?" He asked. "It should be clear."
Regardless of her answer, he assumed they'd be leaving the roof and thus rose to follow. As soon as her back was turned he would make a quick relocation of the deodorant he wore to a less in-the-way place, and the same with the lighter that completed the set. He didn't fancy landing on them or having his opponent strike them, it would provoke unpleasant questions and maybe some minor injuries, meaning the fight would have to end early. Of course, even if she didn't ask, she might find out, and he didn't want people to know that he was 'armed'. It was a good deal more fun shooting flames in someones eyes and setting their hair on fire when they weren't expecting it.
"So." He spoke when they reached their destination of choice, pulling off his hoodie to reveal the black T-shirt below and the scars on his arms. "Round two, eh?" He was smiling, this time not making an effort to hide it. He had come to realize that it wasn't uncommon to enjoy the act of violence here. Still, of course, basic measures of concealment had to be taken. His stance was a little different from their last fight, his footwork was the same and his back was curved, like a predator ready to leap, but his hands were raised to the height of his head and open, the palms facing the person they were meant to hurt. "You go first this time." He'd say, waving her towards him. He was goig to enjoy this.

"You're on. But I think we should head downstairs first so, you know, nobody finds themselves trying to fly."
She would chuckle in response. "Yeah can't have bodies flying off the roofs, the faculty would be rather pissed." she joked, then he would suggest the place to get started and Mitsukai would silently agree. Following behind him to their next destination. She swallowed the gum she had been chewing while he had been talking, it would be in the way if she kept chewing on it.
When they finally reached their destination Adrian would turn to her, that smile as clear as day on his face. It was the smile of someone who loved the thrill of battle and she couldn't help but return it with one of her own. She could feel her own excitement building as she got ready to pounce. This was definitely going to be worth it.
Taking his invite to go first Mitsukai would rush at him. Right fist looking to slam him in his gut but it was a trap. Anticipating some attempt to block she would instead send her left fist out to strike him in the side of his face. Whether the shot to the face was taken or not she would then move to kick him hard in his left knee to at least slow him down a peg and give herself the upper hand.

(OOC: Don't worry about it. Besides, angry is the best mood ot write fight-threads in ^_^ And if I had to apologize for every post I wasn't satisfied with, well, I'd never get anything BUT apologies written. So don't think I'm not apologetic about the quality of what you see below. I'll try to improve it in the future, but right now, I need sleep ^_^)
Adrian's pose was inspired by a fighting style he had once seen in use, though he'd forgotten the name and didn't much care. The advanced techniques eluded him, and once again he didn't care, but the stance was positively excellent for deflecting all manners of punches. He brought his elbows together to ward off the attack against his gut, leaving his hands just below chin-height. When that turned out to be a feint, his hands where in the perfect position to deal with the real attack. His right hand shot up and grabbed her wrist tightly, pulling back to propel her towards him as he took a side-ways step forward, placing his left foot in front and slammed his left elbow into her face, after which he released his hold and jumped a step back to let her regain her composure.
It was new to him, this, letting his opponent regain her composure, but it was also, well, more fun. The fight would last that much longer, and they'd both get more joy from it because of that. And, oddly, he found that he didn't want to hurt the little cat-eyed woman. Well, he thought, feeling the ever-so-slight soreness in his elbow, his smile widening just a tad. Not too much.

Adrian managed to grab her wrist in her first attack, using it to pull her in to hit her in the face with his elbow. That had hurt, her momentary pain would have given him more then enough time to do some more serious damage......
If of course he had not pulled away to give her recovery time.....
Well that was a bit surprising. It seemed that he was still carrying on the same curtousy she had given him in fight club. It was kind of amusing, her reasoning behind that was simply because it was suppose to be a friendly spar and nothing serious, it would have defeated the purpose of the club if Mitsukai had gone all out and show no mercy as she usually would. It was the reason why she showed respect to him in such a matter.
Though if she thought about it this too was just another friendly spar. It was for fun, nothing serious so it made sense that she would get such treatment now.
With a brief nod to inform him she was ready she'd try again. Charging forward to strike him in the mid section with her fist before jumping back to charge again to his right, another punch to his ribs before she would try to sweep his legs out from under him. Foot slamming down into his stomach if she had managed to knock him down only to pull back. Returning the favor.

She nodded, seemingly slightly confused, but ready. Adrian clenched his hands tight for a moment, readying his them for the next assault. When she came, he was ready. The punch to his mid-section was, as before, relatively easily blocked as he brought his arms lower and together, absorbing the blow in a less than hurt-free manner. The next blow, however, had slipped under his attention and Adrian felt his ribs absorb the force, taking it less than kindly than his arms had. He was stunned for split second, and that was all it took his ground-hold to be swept away, though he managed to add just a little extra height to the short-lived flight. Why? Because Adrian had a plan.
His movement ended when his position was once again vertical, though his feet where at the top as his hands stood on the ground, rather than the 'normal' way, the other way around. He was still facing his foe, smiling even as his ribs ached and he let his one hand slip, his body falling towards her. It was a risky maneuver, but Adrian had always preffered to consider himself an artist rather than some mindless thug, and in a fight not fought to win he'd enjoy trying off some of the more cinematic maneuvers in the parts of his arsenal labeled 'untested'. As he fell he coiled his body up like a spring, bring his feet as close to his chest as he could, and when the right angle was reached he uncoiled, kicking at his sparring-partner with force brought all the way from the one hand that rested on the ground through his the full length of his body, culminating in his two feet in guts- and/or rib-height. It was a maneuver a little like the one used in their first fight, except that the orignal move had been rushed. This, on the other hand, contained a good deal more force.
Hit or miss, he would quickly roll back on his feet and back up, waiting for her signal. Of course, if he missed, he was most likely lying right beside where she stood, but he'd still try to roll away as quickly as he could. He didn't want to open himself to cheap-shots, as it would put an unfortunately early end to their little match.

Her original plan seemed to be working out for her, her initial strike had been blocked but where it had failed her second strike did it's work. Giving her more than enough time to knock Adrian's feet from under him, making him much more vulnerable for her next assault....
Or so she had hoped.........unfortunately for her that would not be the case. Instead of simply falling down as Mitsukai had expected he managed to straighten himself up for a new attack. The move caught her a little by surprise, but not enough to leave her vulnerable for that kick flying towards her. The moment she saw that kick coming Mitsukai did the only thing that she could possibly do in such a situation....she dodged. Ducking under the hit quickly and at the same moment side stepping out of the way, it was lucky that she just barely missed the assault. Very lucky, but that was the advantage of being small, you were a bit harder to hit. Not to mention being trained for speed also helped in matters such as these.
She did not strike at Adrian as he rolled away to safety, it was the most sensible thing to do but she would allow him to get back up on his feet. After all he would probably allow her to do the same in her position. Instead she would wait for him to right himself. A small smile spread upon her delicate features, her eyes shining in excitement and anticipation for what was to come next.
Heh I have to ask him to show me that move sometime. she mused. This was indeed an interesting match, she was quite enjoying herself. Hopefully they could do this again sometime.

Rolling back on his feet, Adrian considered new strategies. He briefly considered charging with a forward kick, but quickly remembered how well that had worked last time. Instead he decided on a slightly more graceful approach. Nodding to show his readiness he decided to try a little something he'd picked up from her earlier.
Breaking into a sprint he stopped two steps from her, spinning on his heel, and kicked at the spot just below her ribs. Failing that he'd continue to spin, going low and attemptign to sweep away her legs from under her. If even that should fail, he would resort to less aesthtic methods, rising and delivering an upper-cut to her chin with all his weight and momentum behind it. With luck, it should work.

There was no chance to really block or dodge the kick to the ribs or to avoid being tripped. The momentum was simply too fast to avoid such a situation. She swore as she crashed to the ground but being Mitsukai she did not simply just fall without some form of retaliation. The second she fell she tried to slam her foot right into the shin of the leg Adrian had not used to kick her. Rolling away soon after the strike whether hit or miss to get back on her feet. She hadn't applied enough force to shatter it seeing how she wasn't intending to cripple the guy in a simple sparring match but it should have been enough to hurt like hell. Giving her some advantage in the fight since if successful it would guarantee to slow him down.

It was nice, feeling ribs flex under your foot, feelings flesh squirm and hearing her gasp as the air was knocked from her lungs. It was nice, even as he felt her foot hit the back of his leg and pushing it from under him. He landed on his butt, and, to his surprise, he began laughing. Pushing himself back to his feet and turning to face his opponent, he was beaming. "That was awesome." He dusted himself off and cracked his neck. "I'm hungry. Fancy lunch?" He would then turn around walk towards the lunch area. Was the fight over? For him it was.
