"No."
His answer was, truly, simplistic. He continued with only a slight pause.
"Now, while i honor your request, my time frame does not. I could give you three days, maybe even five, but a month i cannot spare."
People stirred around him, though most seemed un-interested, only here because there was nothing better to do with their lives. They probably didn't care who was Captain. Time would prove to change opinions. The girl who was here was obviously important to this male- perhaps a girlfriend or a very close friend. Regardless, he imprinted her face in his memory. He was a very patient person, and knew that she could be used in the future if he needed it. He checked around him, making sure he had space. Counter to the Captains belief or words, Daniel held no qualms in beating him while he was "crippled", as a Captain should be prepared every second of every day for combat. It was a duty, and just because this male had failed in it did not mean anything to him.
"You can return when fully healed, if you'd like, and challenge me again, but otherwise i'm going to need a deci-."
He kept his hands in his pockets, standing as tall as possible. The male should just give it up if he was unable to defend it against this transfer. Perhaps not unable to defend it, but more unable to defend it adequately. He tilted his head a little, thinking, having cutting himself off. This male had suddenly given him an idea, a probability that was not considered before. Perhaps...perhaps this could be done in a slightly different way then previously stated.
"Mmm. Let me retract my previous statement, and give me twenty four hours to think that over. I'll be here tomorrow at three fifteen, in which case i will give a more thought-out answer."
It was unheard of for him to change his mind- it had only happened once before, but this was slightly strange circumstances. He would wait for a response, eyes on the Captain for confirmation.
