"Thats all well and fine."
"Oh?" Daniel asked raising eyebrows in interest as she gave him the once over. He had been thinking something along the lines of 'Well at least she understands that much.' That was still very much true. He did not really want to get involved in any causes per say, or at all. He just wanted to live the rest of his time here as peacefully as possible. No unnecessary battles besides the occasional scuffle, that was all well and fine with him. But here, it looked like she was asking for a fight. With hands in his pockets he figured it was time to give her the looksies. His eyes looked her up and down figuring that she was a fairly serious threat. She didn't look untrained to say the least. Call it a fighter's eye but he knew she had some sort of a skill set, he wasn't exactly sure what but it was there.
"Though about that punch fairly sure you can live up to that?"
Daniel cracked is neck before giving her a wicked grin that seemed rather out of character for what she had seen so far. For a brief second it appeared as if he spoke in an accent that seemed far more natural then the one he spoke in now, but this was so brief not even Daniel noticed himself slipping back to the old habit, "Ye think you have what it takes to figure that out?"
Daniel pulled his hands out of his pockets and stepped back, away from her, away from the wall. He put his hands up as he took a stance that found his left leg in the lead about shoulder width apart from his right which trailed behind, ever on the balls of his feet. He bent his knees and lowered his chin down. His palms of his hands faced towards Jayr, his left hand out about a foot from his face and his right palm at his chin level but out barely in front of his face. His stance was a variation of what looked to be a boxer's stance, though this was a little more applicable for street fighting.
He grinned in anticipation, it really had been too long...

A change in character "Ye think you have what it takes to figure that out?"
Jayr quickly smiled a reply that said more about herself than anything fists could, "More than you realize."
She'd be slower to react then him however, slower to move defensively. It was much her style to be a defensive fighter seeing as her training dictated it as such. Not the aggressive fighter that entailed this school but rather a controlled fighter, each motion had its counters, its balance and that was her at its basest route. Balance.
Daniel however grinned to match her, his stature seemingly a standard boxing type though the way he leaned forward on his toes symbolized a more offensive fighting type, a more agile and precise set of movements.
"Makes sense." She noted quietly just enough for him to hear. He struck her as the type to be holding back a lot and as the stature suggested he was a very aggressive personality.
Jayr would make a step forward at a portion of her full speed inclining not to give it all away in a first set of moves, her left leg sweeping the floor in between his stance letting her first step carry her left shoulder into his striking zone. This would of course come with an expected hit but it would allow for her to break into a combat boxer's stance throwing off his ability to be primarily offensive and force him to retreat and reaffirm his stance repetitively till he had nowhere to run.
With her shoulder ducked her body would recoil upwards to slam her shoulder upwards into his chin while her left leg continued the sweep to widen his stance which would in turn reduce the power of his blows.

"Makes sense."
She couldn't be more wrong. His stance wasn't indicative of his aggression at all. It was more of a subdued stance, one that gave him all of his offensive options, but more defensive ones then a usual boxer's stance. This was good because Daniel wasn't an aggressive fighter at all, he was a defensive fighter. He was a fighter that would rather pick you apart on your mistakes then go out and impose his will. More importantly he was a fighter, that if given his choice, he would rather exchange and trade punches. A hit for a hit. That was the way he liked the fight so of course he loved to stand and bang it out but...
She pushed her leg in between his to attempt to break his stance. Now this was all fine and dandy if he were strictly a boxer. In fact it would be the perfect plan if he were a boxer, it would be a great move to get in low and break his base apart as while it wouldn't take away all of his punches as a boxer but it would limit them to a painfully predictable few thus limiting his options to throwing those strikes of backing up. And she had been right, she would be opening herself up for a free shot with her movement. It was a shot that Daniel would take. He would take the shot but he would exploit her weakness. He would make an ass out of her for assuming he was an aggressive boxer.
The shot he would take was the single leg takedown that she had freely offered him. Normally you'd have to shoot in and scramble to get that one leg between yours, here she had put it between his leg in an effort to break his stance. As soon as she placed her leg in between his Daniel would drop his level by bending his knees, crouching down, not bending over. As he did this his arms would drop down and wrap around her legs making a gable grip with his hands, with his palms together, his fingers wrapped to the back of his hands with his thumbs not interlocked. His Hands would be close to her crotch as he was wrapping his arms around her left leg his legs would close together around her leg with his knees pressing together. His head would be placed on her stomach with the his ear in the region off her naval. He would have his head up so that he was looking at the wall and not down, the proper placement for the head on this take down. It was also a placement that he was sure he was going to get shit for but what the hell.
As soon as he got here, which would be all one motion he would initiate the take down. This was to be done by pushing his head, upper body and her to the right while pressing in a downward motion and spinning to the right. Now this was generally enough to bring most people down, in Daniel's experience. However it was not proper and therefore could be fought. Daniel however, was going to finish the takedown properly. To do this as he pressed with his head he would pull his arms, and therefore her left leg, to the left as he took a small step back with his right foot, tightening the total grip on her leg. This combined with the upper body motion would pull her weight off the back leg and slam her to the ground. Now this could involve a hop or two but from this position that Daniel was in would take her balance away, even if she had spent years as a gymnast or ballerina.
This was Daniel's true and other preferred style, submission grappling, heavily founded in Brazilian jiujitsu. Normally there would be a counter for this but Jayr in her attempts to break his boxing base had put herself in a compromising position to one, let him get a free shot and two putting herself too close to effectively sprawl, this is before the shoulder strike of course. Now Daniel knew that no move was perfect or uncounterable but there were ways that you could put yourself in a situation the forfeited that counter so he would be pretty surprised if the takedown failed.
As he would put her to the ground, no gently mind you, his left leg would make a move to put his shin on the area between her right leg and pelvis. This of course was after she had hit the ground. Doing that he would slide that leg over hers and move up on her body. This movement would be chest to chest. He was very sure now that it would look incredibly wrong and he definitely was going to get shit for it but whatever this was a fight. The chest to chest was to prevent her from getting away, keeping her pinned to the bottom. Now mind you his right leg was on the left side of her body and if everything worked as planned his left leg was on the right side of her body. This would make moving up on her body easy and really unstoppable. He would move so that his knees would be between her arms on closer to her armpits then elbows, this would prevent her from escaping down through his legs. His upper chest would press on her face, keeping her pinned with his elbows on the ground above her head. Securing the position called mount he would make sure he'd have his stable base before he brought his right elbow down sliding along the ground on the top of her head. He would then replace the right elbow and bring the left down in the same motion. Daniel would do this at a moderate pace to stay secure in mount. The strikes would hurt but they really weren't meant to knock her out unless there were a hell of a lot of them. In reality he just meant to weaken her and see what she would do, but if she couldn't figure anything out to do it would be a win for him soon enough...

But I'm faster. It was a surprise, to say the least. When he'd said something about punching she'd automatically assumed he was a straight up boxer but his next motion was particularly fast and portrayed with a skill of a mixed martial artist. Much like her step-father but in the same right the boy had a tone of grace that wasn't the same as her featured skill. Regardless she adapted quicker than most. A trait she could appropriate with both her training, her experience, and raw talent.
As he'd drop her shoulder's movement would have hindered automatically being caught completely by surprise that he was now around her leg as the sudden imagery of a TV dog humping her leg came to mind but without the humor. His force was strong, and well timed enough to bring her down however she was ready with something else. Adding to the force of his pull her Qi charged in with her right hand using his momentum of the drag combined with its natural inherited strength to incapacitate any foe with a large regard of damage.
As she went down her body would twist rocketing her fist into the dead of his gut, there with a strike with increased velocity the chances of evasion were slim however if he did in fact manage to do so Daniel would need to release and retreat aback forcing her to simply roll over and kick back up off the ground back into a defensive boxer's stance.
However if he'd taken the blow and sufficed to move still she'd kick him in the face roughly with the downward momentum, with her keen dexterity the flexibility would be no trouble considering she was a cheer leader.

Jayr tried to hit Daniel in the stomach but there was one problem with her attack. Her target was dead in his stomach. You see the thing here was that her leg was covering his stomach. With his arms wrapped around her leg as well as his legs that made sure that her leg was running down his torso. Dead on the stomach wasn't going to work unless it slide past her leg making it weaker as it struck him in the left side of the ribs. It wasn't the friendliest of blows but all things considered it could have been a lot worse.
When they hit the ground her right leg, the only free one as he was on top of the left one, came up to kick him. Because his head had already been on her stomach as he had been rising up to attempt to mount her, no innuendo intended, the kick attempt would have been at an awkward angle. Yes, possible to make, but not without a super telegraph. Daniel was on his knees when he saw this preparing for his transition. He sat up back on his knees and legs as she sent the kick out to his face. Daniel grinned, she was faster then him for sure but in this kind of a fight the playing field for speed was always leveled for this kind or thing, especially when you were giving him such and offering.
She pushed the leg out after his head and he would start to lean back and to the right. Daniel saw that her speed would be fast enough to connect with him, but not fast enough to save her because they were so close together. Her leg came in as Daniel would push it to his left with his right hand as his left hand came up. His right palm would be on the bottom of her calf as he pushed with the balls of his hand. After he had pushed the leg as much as was needed to not take the blow to the face his hand would continue to slide under her leg and rotate palm towards the ground. Her kick being fast though would be able to skim across the side of his face cutting him on the left temple. With his leaning back motion he would fall to his back putting his right leg over her leg that had just attempted to kick him while his left leg slid under her right and closed his knee joint in a triangle hold with his right ankle locked in between his left calf and quad with the right foot locked in between his right leg. With her leg fully extended his right hand, and forearm that was under her leg would hook on the inside of her right foot. His left arm which had been under her leg the hole time would hook onto the back of his right forearm below his wrist. As his legs would have locked his left foot would slip under her back. Once he had gotten to this position which should happen as this was a high percentage move and she gave him her leg her ankle and knee should feel pretty tight. As soon as he got there his right and would pull her foot down to her joint's clockwise. He would pull this just tight enough for her to feel pain.
There he would stop waiting for her to tap out. In this position she would have to yield or Daniel would break her knee and every bone in her ankle. Just for one act of mercy Daniel would growl, "Tap or snap!"
He did that only because this was a friendly fight and Daniel wanted to give her the chance to surrender before he went through with his move. Though any wrong moves and he would break her leg...

Cheerleader Saves the day. The not so smooth but still flowing motion would go uninterrupted because unfortunately for Daniel Jayr was gifted as far as flexibility went. Having been a cheerleader for a good few years she learned well enough to deal with tight positions and the grip didn't threaten her much seeing as the combination of that with her fighting stature simply favored her. Albeit positioning was poor.
"Tap or snap!"
A short glare as Jayr knew she could make her way out of this feeling free to lean a bit favoring his direction and struggle all the same stubbornly. A small smile crossed her face as she'd lean up with her abs bending enough so that her other leg would come up pulling it with both her hands and dropping it on Daniel's shoulder's like a hammer with the concussive blow. In the same instant her leg would tug against his grip, despite his grip her strength was superior in her legs as compared to his hand muscles.
Her hands would slide down to his chest and twist his nipples. Yes she wasn't a fair fighter but considering the combination of the two movements her leg would be free and both would guillotine on his head crushing him in a sense between her thighs.
"Tap or snap." She'd reply in a taunting voice back a bit of joking to her expression.
