First day as a Transfer

"Hmm..." A young girl with long raven hair looked up at the school. She crossed her arms pausing a bit to take in the entire building. "Huurrmm..." She shrugged as she began to walk towards the school. It did not seem too different when compared to her old school but still for some reasons he felt a bit more on guard. Unlike at PHS 552 where she knew all the students and their strengths she knew next to nothing here and as such she would have to be careful.

She entered the school pulling out a sheet of paper that had the school's layout on it. From what she had gotten from her transfer papers she only had one class like at the old school so she decided to make her way towards the roof. She turned a few corners as the dull roar of idle gossip filled her ears. "Well not much seems different..I'll just try to keep my head down and maybe I can stay out of trouble here...that would be nice for once but something tells me that that is not going to happen.

He watched her enter the front gates, watched her cross the courtyard. A new transfer. David took a deep breath. The girl was gonna be in for some trouble. Good looking, walking alone. Not to mention, most 259ers hated people who came to their school from another. As she walked forward, boys turned and walked behind. David sighed, standing and following silently the group of fifteen guys grinning like a pack of wolves. David walked inside the school after the door closed from them, and watched as they got nearer to her.

"Hey, girl!"

David called out, causing everyone to turn. He walked through the men who obviously planned to jump her. He was taking off his jacket, acting pissed. "You didn't hold the door for me. What, you looking to get fucked up by a Dragon?" This caused the men to grin and step back- either way, they were going to see the fight they wanted to see, and witness the girl get her ass kicked. David thought them scum, and though he was a damn good actor, he regretted making the girl think him a prick.

But, better she fight him, then an overwhelming amount of men, whom she would probably stand no chance against.

"a Dragon..now there is a title I've not heard in years.." Tsubame paused as she heard the man yell out. She sun to face him her eyes level with his. It only took one glance for her to know that she was out of her league against him and if she tired to fight hims he would most likely end up injured. Still she was not getting any real vibes from the man that matched his words. She had also noticed the men that had been following her and had been planning on taking care of them herself but it seemed that that plan was now out the window.

"Never would have imagined that the Title Dragon would have so little honor behind it here...how sad." she would sigh and shake her head before she turned back around and kept walking. "I suppose I shall say sorry never the less..now then leave me be" She pressed her right foot down and she suddenly took off like a bolt of chain lighting. She was not the most agile person she knew that but few could keep up with her in terms of speed.

His first thought was as follows.

Don't run, dumbass!!

She understood nothing of what he was trying to do. He didn't want an apology, though he would admit, it stung a little, her comment about honor. Regardless, All it would have taken was one attack from her. He WANTED her to assault him. Now, by running, it would spread that she was a coward, and the scum of the school would tear her to pieces. Perhaps she could take ten, or twelve, but what if a hundred of the bastards decided to hold her down? He wouldn't let that happen. He leapt foward, catching up to her quickly, sliding to a stop in front of her. It would be perfect. He left enough room for her to keep running, to attack. He left little room for retaliation on his own part. The boys watched in surprise.

"You can't get away idiot-!"

He hoped she would cut him off, and rather violently. Without a display of strength, these...kids would never leave her alone.

Tsubame would narrow her eyes as she ran forward her fist clenching. That damn idiot. She knew all too well what he was trying to do but she did not need his protection..she was no weakling. She had taken on hundreds of idiots like the scum that had been following her before but still if he wanted to do this fine. She drew her hand back and without breaking stride or slowing down she would thrust her fist forward her right foot coming down so that all the energy from her dash would be put into the punch.

She would have come to a stop after the punch as she stood her eyes narrowed. "There are few things I hate more than pointless fighting....you people are all the same..thinking your so tough..tell me something" Tsubame would take a step forward as she cracked the knuckles in her right hand. "What do you do when your target bites back?" She waited for answer and to see if her hunch that he had just been trying to help her was right. If she was wrong she would have little space to make an escape but did have room to dodge.

Few things she hates more..

He was helping her in a way she didn't even realize.

Perhaps she didn't need him- in fact, by the force of the blow that threw blood from his lips, he knew she didn't. But her stating she hated violence without a point made him nearly grin. He would jump with the punch in a nearly unnoticeable way, landing flat on his back five or ten feet frmo the previous spot, unmoving. He was sending a message- or rather, she was, inadvertantly. By beating a Dragon, none would ever bother her without cause, unless they simply wanted punishment. That it was him would remain unknown- it didn't matter the person, it mattered the title. The perks of being a Dragon.

The kids down the hall already began to leave, backing away, afraid of being noticed by the girl who had just one-punch-KO'd a vey strong looking Dragon. Once they were gone, David would roll from his side to his back, letting out a little breath. He hoped the girl wasn't gone, he'd love to talk to her a little more. Perhaps about pulling punches on people who were only trying to build a new transfer a reputation. That she was a girl din't matter to him- he knew plenty who could break their foot off in his ass. That she was fellow transfer- now that, that meant more. He sat up, rubbing his face.

"Shit- You coulda held back! what do i have to do, layer my voice with sarcasm for you to get the hint? Damn..." He cracked his neck, working his jaw and feeling it tighten from the damage. He needed ice...

"Please..even with all my strength I'm well aware that I could barely scratch you" The girl sighed as she gripped the wrist of her right hand and cracked it a few times. "Had I held back it would have been obvious...your just too strong for me" She sighed as she let her arm drop to her side. Even with that one punch she had ended up hurting herself a little bit though it was nothing she could not handle. "Still..I suppose I should thank you"

She held out a hand to help him up. "Maybe I did over do it though" It was true, she had added the momentum from her run into the punch so she had hit him a little harder than she had meant to. Despite that she figured he would be able to shake it off like it had been nothing, after all she had fought people like Leon whom even with her single best shot had not even flinched.

David rolled his shoulders forward, sort of shrugging his coat back on, since he had never fully gotten it off before se took off running. She was a tough girl, he could tell that much.

"Yeah, i guess."

He spat sharply, twisting his head to the right to let the slight bit of blood splatter the ground harmlessly. He cracked his neck before holding his hand out to the female. "My name is David, Storm Dragon." He would give her hand a light grip, yet firm, to show he wanted a friendship. Perhaps it wasn't somethng she was use to in school, a male with power actually using it to help someone. David wasn't like the general populace- he was confident without cockiness, and dn't care about a reputation, even though he knew he had one. At least, to those who knew his name. Those boys obviously didn't care to know the faces of people who mattered. David made a habit of knowing. He smiled when she thanked him and stated she might have overdone it.

"Nah, its alright. I'm a big boy, i'm sure i'll live."

He put his hands in the pockets of his coat, appraising her a moment.

"So, where you from?"

"It is nice to meet you David" Tsuabme bowed her head slightly. "I'm Tsubame, I'm a transfer from PHS 552" She smiled a bit as she helped the Dragon to his feet. She had never heard of an Aetheral Dragon before so she figured that there were many dragons that she did not know about, and she knew a fair amount of them. Still she was very surprised to find the title here of all places..she supposed that meant that Leon had come here.

"So then..if your a Dragon you must have met Leon then? Or did you get the title from someone else?" She was curious to the answer of this question. If it had not been Leon giving the titels then there was someone else who thought they could give out the Dragon title and she wanted to know who.

David shrugged, looking himself over to make sure there was no dirt that he had layered himself with when hitting the floor. His eyes returned to hers, a piercing blue matched only by her cold, knowledge-hungry stare. He supposed that there was no reason he shouldn't give her a direct answer- knowledge was his specialty, after all.

"Yeah, Sudeki Named me. I'm the only other Dragon here, though, besides Gabriel Seran." He replaced his hands to his pockets, talking almost non-chalantly. "If your from 552, then you probably don't know about our Dragons. We've been fragmented since before Leon disappeared-" He didn't include or hint to a reason for it. "-but now its only gotten worse. We're Tier based now, the weakest being Tier four, the strongest, such as Leon, Tier one." He took a deep breath. "Far different, im sure, then your use to but times change, i guess." He scratched his head. "Y'know, i remember hearing about a Tsubame at 552 when i visited... Council member or president or something...You two one in the same?"

He supposed the likelihood was high, but he didn't want to make an assumption without proof. If she had stayed at 552 long enough, perhaps she could fill him in on the sudden influx of transfers from that area, or perhaps some people to look out for.

"Hmmm... is is taking this Dragon thing further than I thought he would.." Tsubame placed a hand under her chin as she thought for a bit. "No matter if that is the way of things here then I will not get involved." She looked back down the hall toward the direction where the boy had run off. "You really think I'm so weak that I cannot handle scum like that one my own? I coudl take thitry of them now sweat" It was true, she had fioguth far more whwne she was back in New York

She smiled a bit before she paused in her movements. She had heard him say something about her being on the council or something "I was Student Council Vice President yes..how..how did you know that though?" New York was a long way away from this place and it was not a place that you just visited on a whim.

He chuckled a little.

"Well, he's actually not running it anymore. I changed things up, added and implemented the four tier system. Helps keep people and ourselves aware." He shrugged as she said she would stay out of it. It almost made him curious as to her own plans regarding 259. He scratched his chin lightly when she asked how he knew about her project in new york.

"Eh, i was there for a week or two. Business."

He didn't go too deeply into it, as it was a personal matter that really had no consequence on her or on the school. He did attend the place since he thought he would be there for far longer then he was, but that was besides the point. The deal ended without much progress, and he was on the first plane back to California.

"So what brought you to 259?"

"Buisness eh? Tell me you know a guy named Tenchi?" Tenchi was an old friend of Tsubame's and her former business partner before he seemed to have just vanished. If this man did business in New York then perhaps he would have heard of him, a faint hope but she did not expect too much from it after all that had been a long time ago.

She thought a bit on the question on why she transfered wondering just how she was going to answer that. She decided to go with the truth though not the reason. "I left 552 because there was too much going on and it was becoming a lost cause to try and learn there. I came here in hopes of things being simpler not to mention this being a different state" She sighed, "Seems I was wrong"

"Tenchi? Yeah, i've heard of him. His business is a little below my Radar though."

Not that the guy didn't have the right business, but the lawful business was his issue. He heard some things regarding his methods and for Blaze enterprises to get involved could be quite a scandal. David took a look around as she said she might be wrong about coming to 259. "Eh, don't count us out yet. Just make some friends, stick with them, and you should be alright." He nodded with his chin. "While im sure you can take those scavengers easily, its about sending a message to the big cats. You beat up a few weaklings, then more will come. Eventually, the big guys will come. however- take out someone with a reputation, and you may have it made, at least for a time."

That was only his intention, he wasn't sure whether it would become a reality or not. Still, he wasn't totally convinced that she told him everyone. Wanting to get away from a place was a fine excuse, but to travel three thousand miles in order to do it? well, slightly questionable, at least to him. He watched the halls, making sure nothing was happening down them as he spoke again.

"Do you know anyone else here?"

"Well other than Leon if he's still around no..I'm not aware of anyone else being here..that being said it's not impossible for me to run into someone I might have known once at PHS 552." She did not know of anyone whom had transfered here but knowing how things went she would not be surprised if she ran into one of two familiar faces. It always did seem to happen.

"Well then..I do thank you for your help..needed or other wise it was thought full" she bowed slightly. "If you will excuse me I was off to the roof to relax a bit..my one class does not start until midday and until then I wanted to take a nap, after all it is a little bit of a commute to my house and I do not always get enough sleep.
