Phone's would ring.
Now, Vespyr doesn't usually carry a phone, but that mattered little. In her coat, five different phones would ring, all with the same unknown number. Should she answer one, a voice much recognized would come to her ears.
"South Marks street. Building 1124. Roof. Ten minutes." click
Should she refuse to answer any of them, or break them, then every payphone she passed would ring. People all around hers phones would ring. Phones would just keep ringing, until she picked one up. And if she fled, left where phones could ring...well, there was a far less likable alternative to a phone.

Her phone was ringing.
I… don’t have a phone. Perplexed, Vespyr fished around in the abysmal pocket of her trench coat and withdrew the unfamiliar object. She flipped it open promptly to put an end to the cacophonous jingling, and held it to her ear with an air of caution.
"South Marks street. Building 1124. Roof. Ten minutes." She recognized the voice, of course. Her mouth was slightly ajar, a sound caught in her throat, and then there was a tinny click and he was gone. She was silent for a few moments, glaring at the phone and contemplating.
Sick of his games.
Growling, she dropped the phone in a nearby trashcan and turned in the opposite direction, aware of the fact that the ringing was all around her; she wasn’t taken by surprise and hadn’t expected anything different from him. She had grown used to him being all around her, even when he wasn’t there. Always lingering, following, playing tricks.
She was walking home.

Perhaps she didn't realize it, but the people around her were all the same people. Just taller. You see, whenever someone walked past her, he turned around, walking back in the other direction, pretending to be busy. With the thirty other people moving around her in a constant circle and web, and with their height blocking the other sidewalk from view, they left it totally unknown that they were the only one on the street. Only ones for blocks, even. And then, they all stopped. They all pulled out their phones at the exact same time, and all turned to her the moment the voice spoke. "Bring her."Thirty men would pile inwards. She was strong- too strong, and they didn't wish to fight her. But massing bodies on top of one person...well, numbers were numbers. Should they get ahold of her, they would throw a bag over her head, pin her down and tie her arms. Then, carrying her to a bus, would toss her on the floor while they drove. She would lay there for maybe ten minutes before a voice she probably didn't recognize spoke. " It's nothing personal, girl." A swift punch to her temple, aptly aimed, would poise to knock Vespyr unconscious. If the shot didn't, blow after continuous blow would hit her there, until she stopped her squirming. ******************************* The bag would come off her head, and she would be tied to a chair, in a basement, a light over her head hanging downward. Sitting in the chair across from her was Scene, his legs cross, left elbow planted on his knee while his chin was planted on his fist. He stared directly into her eyes, watching her, waiting. Finally, he would speak. "I brought you here." He leaned back. "I taught you so much, helped you... and you wish to betray me? For a man whose name you don't even know?" He would ignore whatever her muffled reply was- she would be gagged, too, you see. "Johnathan Winters." He leaned forward. "Now you know." He stood, walking around the chair, facing the wall, looking at the men who lined it. Many men. He let out a deep breath. "Ungag her."

Vespyr froze as the passersby withdrew their phones simultaneously, their eyes fixed on her, and had barely a moment to react when they moved in—but barely a moment was enough time for a long blade to appear in her hand, and she lunged at the closest attacker, plunging the cold metal into his eye socket. As she did so, she felt hands grabbing at her shoulders and she whirled, the blade taking down two more as she did so. Alas, it was useless; there were too many of them, and she was tackled to the ground, nevertheless thrashing about and snarling like a rabid animal as they overtook her. Something was placed over her head and she felt the blade being wrenched from her hand. Her hands were being tied. She was being lifted. Her body landed on something hard and cold.
Immediately, she scrambled to her feet, breathing heavily, and squirmed her hands a bit. She was surrounded by darkness and silence. She stood, wriggling her hands behind her back, getting a feel for the rope and the knot and already beginning to loosen it slightly. Dropping to the ground, she performed a strange crouching-rolling maneuver that allowed her to bring her bound hands under her legs and to the front of her body. From here she could reach into a pocket and withdraw a smaller pocket knife, with which she began awkwardly sawing through the rope that held her hands together. Within several minutes, she had broken free and she reached up to remove the bag on her head.
"It's nothing personal, girl." As the bag came off, Vespyr was able to catch a glimpse of a face before something struck her in the head and knocked her over. Dizzily, she squirmed for a moment but the blow came again, this time knocking her out.
——————— …
… The darkness was lifted away and she squinted against the bright light. She tried to move her arms but found that she was tied down to a chair… cliché. Certainly Scene could have been a bit more creative than that.
Her narrowed violet eyes were smoldering with rage so vehement that one would begin to feel a sickening burn within their own skull if they were to stare into her eyes for more than a few seconds.
"I brought you here." Vespyr took a hot breath and growled against the gag, her jaw clenching harshly. It was the only thing she could do at the moment to keep from spontaneously combusting with anger.
"I taught you so much, helped you... and you wish to betray me? For a man whose name you don't even know?
Jonathan Winters.
Now you know.” Vespyr was silent, obviously.
“Ungag her.” As soon as her mouth was unhindered, Vespyr would speak, her voice bitter and mocking.
“You’re one to talk, Scene. I still don’t know your name, but that means nothing. And if by betray you mean actually make a use for myself instead of sitting around waiting for you to stop fucking around, then you really need to re-evaluate the situation.”

After she spoke, he walked over, sitting down in the chair once again.
He then surged forward, backhanding her roughly. A hand steadied the chair. Scene lurched to his feet, backhanding the man who kept the chair from rolling over. He then looked back down at Vespyr, crouching and taking her face in his grip.
"You foolish girl. I taught you to stop wallowing, not to rush headlong into a battle you know nothing about." He released her cheek. "Now i will talk, and you will listen." He began to pace around the room, stopping at some of the people and looking them up and down as he spoke. "A long time ago, months, years, the school was as bad as it is now. The place was amok with people who wished to run it. Time after time individuals stepped forward, and time after time, the students united and threw them back." He shrugged. "One might ask why such a place would be important. Well, simply because it harbors the strongest fighters on the known planet. Any take over of a physical government would be useless, because the dogs of 259 would simply step in and stop it."
He returned to her, sitting down in the chair and staring into her eyes.
"Your white haired german, "Unfettered", as he is taken to being called, is one of those men who, time and time again, have failed at bringing anything of consequence to the school. Once, at the height of his strength, he had the power and ability to do what he tries to do now. But he left. Vanished. Now, with even less support, he tries again." If she tried to speak, he would hit her again. "Your an ignorant fucking fool. I do not act openly because such an act would be a foolish declaration of myself and my intents. Everyone who pushes their agenda too quickly falls prey to those better organized." He leaned back. "While i try and bring more people to the masses, others in the school tear each other apart. Make enemies of one another. By the time my takeover is ready to launch, everyone will be sectionized, and nobody will unite against me. They will all hate one another."
He let out a breath.
"If you want to go and join the foolish tirade of a man whose on a mission he has failed at three different times, be my guest. But when my time comes, i will destroy you as i will him. I don't intend to rebuild. I don't intend to control. I will take over the school, then tear it down. And unlike Johnathan, i won't try again if i fail."
He would stand and everyone would begin filing from the basement.
"Cut her loose"
As a man stepped forward, Scene would speak.
"I want you with me on this, and i'll answer any questions you ask once you commit, not before. But if you decide you'd rather join someone else and betray everything i have ever taught you, then be my guest. No one will stop you. And when we meet again..." He would start up the stairs.
"It will be as enemies."

Vespyr kept her teeth gritted as Scene spoke. Her cheek stung and her head felt heavy with her hate for him. She matched his stare, sitting up straight in the chair, not giving a shit about what he had to say. She didn’t give a fuck about the school. She didn’t give a fuck about Winters or their plans, or Scene and his plans; she wasn’t terribly conflicted about who to serve, it was the very idea of giving her allegiance. The reason she had taken a liking to “Unfettered” was because he never forced her to do anything; he let her decide for herself. At the same time, though, it was a weakness—while she hated Scene because of the way he was, without having something to fight against she felt empty and useless. She loved to hate him.
“Wait.” Her freed hands gripped the edge of the chair, nails digging in, as if to keep herself from getting up and doing something she would regret.
“I gave you my word once. It’s still true.”

Scene stopped halfway up the stairs and, slowly, walked down them backwards. Two men were still in the basement, and Scene reached up, cracking his neck.
"Get the fuck out."
Both men left without a word. Scene walked over, putting his foot to the side of his chair and kicking it out of the way. He crouched down in front of her once again. A small smile coming to his lips, like he was sad.
"I don't like the new you."
Scene would jerk up and punch her, square in the jaw, hoping to knock her clean from the chair.
"Your all reserved, and quiet. I'm gonna put some fight back in you. Undo the damage that peacemaker wrought."
He would kick her in the stomach if she didn't get up fast enough. Scene was not someone to trifle with. Dragon, student, teacher, pet, man, woman, cat, dog- he didn't give a fuck about that. Vespyr was a woman of spirit. While he was glad to know she was with him once again, her sitting still, staying calm- and NOT doing what she wanted to do... that disappointed him. She was wrong in thought- that he left her without choice. None of his gang were forced. Not even her. If she wanted to leave he would let her. If she got in his way or helped his enemies, he would tear her apart. But if she wanted to be part of the world he aimed to create....she needed her fire back. Her flashing eyes. Her hate. Yes, even if it was for him.
He would harbor that hate, feed it.
And make her stronger.

As Scene’s fist rushed toward her face, Vespyr’s hand shot out and gripped the offending wrist, stopping the punch in midair as she simultaneously rose to her feet, her other hand gripping the edge of her chair and hauling it from beneath her and swinging it over her head. It would come crashing down violently on top of Scene, whose arm was held deadly fast by the girl’s claws, the heavy wood splintering as it came in contact with his iron head. Vespyr would swing her foot forward swiftly and heavily, feeling her steel-toed boots come in contact with the man’s ribs and gut, the satisfying collapse of the body making her blood boil with the need to hurt.
“You’re the one who’s changed,” she said, her voice impassioned and authoritative. Her eyes were glowing, glaring down at him, her expression grave and disdainful.
“Too cocky. I don’t like it.” [/b][/blockquote][/size]

Scene looked from her face, to the fist, and back. As she rose menacingly to her feet, he laughed alot, giggling delightfully as she grabbed the chair.
"Thats better."
He slammed his head forward, bringing it way back and crashing clean through and aiming for her face. It hurt, and her grip on his fist made him hungry with a need. She had grown so much stronger since he had last seen her. It was intoxicating. He loved it when she got all rough and violent. It brought out the color in her eyes. Whether his headbutt connected or not, her grip on his hand would likely go slack from her concentration being turned to the new threat of a vast iron ball (his head) coming for his face. He pulled on the fist and if it came loose, would bring both hands down and grab her legs, lifting her up and running backward, smashing through the wall and out into the pavement.
They were in a small warehouse district, night. Nobody was around, luckily. If they made it through, he would throw her on her ass.
"COCKY! WHO IS COCKY! THE MAN LOOKING FOR REACTION, OR THE GIRL MAKING PETTY ASSUMPTIONS!?"
He would wave his hand upward, like telling her to get to her feet.
"Lets see what you can do then."

Vespyr grabbed at the crumbling wall as they crashed through, ripping a brick from the wreckage. Holding it in both hands, she slammed it into the vulnerable area at the base of Scene’s neck, shattering it with sheer force. She gasped as she was thrown down, the air forced from her lungs by the impact, but she was up again in an instant with another brick in her hand. This one she would hurl at him as she charged at full speed, aiming to shatter it on his sternum, knocking the wind out of him in return. It would be followed by a swift punch to the stomach and a knee in the groin, after which he would find her hands tightly around his neck, strangling him. Her thumbs jutting deep into his trachea, those talons digging into the back of his neck. The death grip.
There was a smile on her face, though she didn’t realize it. She was grinning maniacally, almost happily. She was thrilled to hear the anger in his voice, especially when he yelled; even when he laughed. There was such contempt and brutality between them but it was fun as much as it hurt and at that moment, she realized what she had been missing.
That didn’t stop her, though. In fact, her choking grip on his neck would tighten as much as her strength would allow. She would wring him out like a rag. A very bloody rag. Oh, but he was not very bloody yet. Not yet.

Scene laughed as the brick hit his neck, pain shooting through his skull like a full force migraine. As he watched her charge, and licked his lips, blood on them from a cut inside his mouth. That chair wasn't easy to simply head butt through. He backhanded the brick almost uncaringly, the bricks scraping open his knuckles as she punched him in the gut, where his backhand had left open. He let out the wind with a cackle, and as he brought down his hand to block her knee, he watched her hands rise. His palm connected with her leg, keeping it from his crotch.
Both hands shot up, staying close to his body. He would try and snatch her wrists just before they were able to grip his neck. She was faster than him, now, but by keeping his hands and arms close to his body, he minimized the distance they had to travel. He would extend his arms out to the side, where his grip would be more effective and her sudden strength would be less. Three quick strikes. At their current proximity, their heads were in perfect position for the solid iron of his mask to do its best work. WAMWAMWAM. Repeatedly into her skul with all his force.
One would be aimed for just above her left eye. the second, her nose. The third, her cheek. Each one intended for breaking bone.
'I run a tight ship girl...and we can't have you not knowing...'
Not knowing...what?

Vespyr’s forehead took the first blow rather hard; her vision blacked out for a moment and her head craned backward, though she saved her skull from suffering more of the same injury by doing so. Thick, throbbing pain was radiating from her left eye, crashing through her skull. She could feel it in her teeth.
Yeah… that hurt. A lot.
Nevertheless, she managed to raise her head just high enough to glare at him but maintaining a safe distance so that didn’t happen again. She would grab Scene’s wrists as he grabbed hers to ensure that his arms would remain where they were, and perform something like a hook with her left knee, slamming it into Scene’s side at the base of his ribs, most likely breaking several of them and severely damaging his internal organs. The left knee would come down and the right knee would come up swiftly, this time delivering a straight-up blow to the gut.
If Scene’s grip on her wrists had loosened, she would move in for the chokehold again, all the while keeping her reeling head craned back slightly to ensure that he could not rain any more harsh blows on her skull. There was blood trickling into her left eye, turning half her vision crimson. She could feel the resonating pulse of her blood there. It was agonizing.
But she wouldn’t back down this time; death would befall her before she would succumb to the pain.

He felt the crunch of her head, gasped with the ecstasy of her blood as it poured fourth like the fountain of youth. He felt her grip tighten, he body shift into a standard muai thai position. Oh, girl. If she only knew who he was, where he came from...what he knew... As her knee hit him in the ribs, a slight crack would be heard, bone fracturing but not quite breaking. Her form was superb.... Rather than wait for a second blow though, he returned the favor, this time stepping up his speed and strength. She was strong, but he could feel that he had her beat, if only just. Plus, he had a very sturdy frame, and he doubted her frail body could take a blow like the one she had given, with the same effect. Her damage would probably turn out worse than his own...if it landed.
After throwing the knee, he would turn and twist his body, letting out a laugh as he moved to lift her from her feet. He would twist around and aim to break her body on the corner of the concrete wall. Her frame would probably hit right around her other side, opposite where he had kneed her. This would not be like that blow, though. With the added momentum and force...it would very likely break her back.
If it all hit, and went according to plan, he would come over and sit on her stomach, straddling her in a mount position, and would lean down and whisper in her ear.
"Let me show you...what none other can..."
He would then grip her hair, her chin, and swiftly snap her neck, effectively ending her life.

Scene’s knee collided with her side, knocking the wind out of her once more, but she hadn’t a moment to gasp before she was crushed against the corner of the wall, blinding pain shattering her body. She felt a sickening crunch in her spine and screamed, but her voice cut out a half-second later when she forgot how. Her eyes were wide with agony, one of them filled with blood, yet there was no terror in them as Scene placed his hands a position she knew far too well.
Her violet eyes were fixed on him, suddenly calm despite the unfathomable pain that coursed through her entire body. It wouldn’t last much longer anyhow. She knew what he was going to do.
He was going to ki—
There was a sickening cracking, popping sound, and then silence. The girl’s slender hands fell lifelessly, one slumped over Scene’s leg and the other at her side.
Vespyr was dead.
Her amethyst eyes had been fixed on Scene, but now they were cast off in some aimless skyward direction, as if she were stargazing. The only difference was that one was crimson with blood and they were both now completely devoid of the contemplation that once swam in their depths. There was something missing. She was gone.

The door to the above room opened, and feet came rushing down, carrying items and boxes. As men set up a gurney nearby, Scene leaned in, twisting her head back into the rightful position, staring deep into her open, lifeless eyes. The bones that crunched and popped as he put her back into place were ignored. He leaned down, kissing her still slightly warm lips softly. One of his men leaned down.
"We have to move her sir, to save her as quickly as possible."
Scene held up a hand.
"Hang on."
He put his index finger on her mouth, and would open and close it while he sang, like she was the one singing it, his voice high and mocking.
"Take me to the yyyyy m,c,a. I'm gonna stay at the y,m,c aaaa." He giggled. "I'm a little teapot short and stout-"
"Sir-!"
Scene giggled a little more as he moved off her body.
"Alright, do your stuff."
They would lift her and strap her to the gurney, Scene looking at the watch on his phone. Twenty three seconds. Only seven left. He walked over, turning on the machine. As they tightened the strap, he would press the metal plates to her chest, electricity coursing through her body violently, right at twenty eight seconds following her final breath. He would then toss down the plates and walk away. As the men bent to retrieve them, he would bark over his shoulder.
"Leave them. Its going to take a moment or two for the electricity coursing through her body to get any real reaction." He shrugged. "Or i killed her. Either way, shooting her again won't matter, it will only make the basement smell like burnt human skin."
He stared out over the buildings, looking at the stars, waiting for the possible re-arrival of the woman he had just killed.
