Shapes and sizes, angles and degrees, I loved these things. MY class was relatively small but this was my first time teaching so perhaps it was for the best. I was looking forwards to getting to know all of my students. Still it was early in the morning and math was not always the best route to go in the morning. I remember in highschool I preferred English early and math later in the day, so my focus was at its peak.
Standing next to my desk I waited for all of my students to arrive. I wanted to see if anyone was as excited as I was, I doubted it highly. Still if there was a future genius in the room I would love to help mold them into the best they could be. Perhaps a future architect or engineer would be present.

Hands Down. For Jayr Geometry was quite possibly her worst subject of them all. Yeah she was good a basic algebra and other high level maths but geometry just had it out for her something about volume and weight just didn't sit right in her thought processes. Shaking her head as she made it down the mismatched halls and bouts of people Jayr made her way into the classroom juggling her books till they were situated under her arm.
That genuine wide grin edging from cheek to cheek as she skipped in would seem to act like an aura around her. The charisma she carried would seem almost stifling. Bouncing her way in the classroom she'd pop in front of the teachers desk and wave before exerting that same hand out to shake.
"Hi I'm Jayr."
Pleasant enough as she quickly juggled her books back under the other arm before picking out the seat in the side of the room nearest to the windows. Still in the front row enough to not come off as a slacker she'd need one asset towards her survival through geometry, and that was daydreaming. Windows had a great way about that.

Kenin had changed greatly since the last time the teacher saw him. His hair was white, he had shrunk just over a foot in height, and his eyes, both his pupils and irises had been lined in gold. All of these changes would probably make her think that he was a different person altogether, but he was still him. At least, genetically. He felt different, even his personality felt... different somehow.
He walked into the classroom simply nodding toward the teacher and saying, "I hope you're having a good day today, Mrs. C," Perhaps she'd know who he was based on that and the same facial features, though she would probably be very thrown off. After that he went over to sit next to Jayr, nodding to her as well and saying, "Good morning."
He wasn't sure if she'd recognize him either, but he didn't recognize himself sometimes, so he wouldn't push it. For one thing, he felt sane for once in his life. He slept much better now, and it was as if he could be himself, he wasn't driven by his needs. In fact they were under control just like every normal person. He felt... he felt whole.
And he felt nervous because math, even geometry, was not his best subject. He was nervous but he knew that he'd give a try at it, so no matter what going into this he'd at least give it his best shot.

If there was a way to skip all of his classes and still pass Mathew would. He hated Math, he hated morning classes, and he hated that he was already up. Not to mention the fact that the college and high school students was annoying. The only reason he took a morning Math class was because it freed up his afternoons, which he needed for other activities.
Mathew was not bouncing with energy, but rather he trudged through the halls yawning every few steps as he slumped under the weight of his bag and jacket. The rustling trench coat set him apart from the rest of the kids in the hall who were dressed for the weather, which wasn't New York's to put it bluntly. Even in Winter it was warm to hot, at least to Mathew. But he didn't wear this for it's style, but rather because he had enemies.
Pushing open the door he let out a loud yawn as he entered the classroom, passing by the teacher he let out a grunt that would serve as his greeting as he made his way to the back of the classroom. He was hoping that he might be able to get some shut eye in class and just do the homework later.
He barely glanced at the other students that chose to sit up front like suck ups or chumps. Instead he just dropped his bags by his desk and took his seat, folding his arms over his desk and laying his head on it. He had a bit of time before class started, maybe he could catch a few winks before the bell...

For some reason when Vetis took a bit out of a york pepperming patty, it gave him the sensation of being on a cool mountaintop. As the chocolatey delight melted in his mouth and not in his hands he entered the familiar world of math. Looking around he saw two famliar faces. One he had not seen before, and what he could only describe as a short chick with a veil.... it was odd.
As he sat in his desk he had a craving. God what he wouldnt do for a Klondike bar right now. Hell two for him and none for you would be better. Looking around he realized he would in fact kill a man for a klondike bar. Perhaps it was cause sometimes he felt like a nut, sometimes he dont. Still the maths were not his best of subjects so he had to get his mind off of delcious, treats and into the books.
Vetis wiped the droll from his desk and began to concentrate. Staring at Jayr for a second he began to envision a hamburger. Would he have it his way and put a smile on? As his hallucinations worsened he could only think to himself mmmmm tasty. However biting a fellow student might have...consequences. Staring into his lap he tried not to think of food. It didnt work, all he could think was 5, 5 dollar, 5 dollar footlooooongs.

There were still some empty seats but for the most part it seemed my attendance was at 90%. Looking around I noted the disappointed looks on everyones faces. "Good Morning Class my name is Ms. Cardellini. You can call me Ms. C. for short. This class is geometry I. I see we have our highschool students nad our college students sharing classes so while we will work togehter I will have different assignments for the seperate grades. Just so I dont have to look in my book would you be so kind as to raise your hand if you are college level?"
I was a bit cut and dry but until I really got a feel for each and every ones personality I wanted to seem like I was all buisness. No use being the nice teacher who gets walked all over by students. "Also before we begin with the lesson do we have any questions?" I figured I might as well see who was curious about anything I might be teaching.

It seemed that he would not be getting much of a nap at all as moments after he sat down the teacher started talking to them. Explaining what they already knew, with the college and the high school splitting classes. Mathew groaned in frustration as he sat up in his chair, slumping backwards this time trying to get comfortable in the crappy desk the school provided.
With an annoyed shake of his head he rose his hand up, holding up only two fingers and with a small wave he signaled that he was in college. Though he thought it was apparent that he would rather be napping or somewhere else.
That's when he took more account of the class around him. Not many people were in the class it seemed. There was the Con Artist Jayr, and some kid that he didn't recognize from behind. Mathew had to blink twice when he saw Vetis was in the class. That wasn't something he had expected to see. Other then that though the class seemed to be empty. Go figure.

So she was like about the ms. and mrs.? Interesting, maybe she preferred Ms sort of like Miss C, either way Kenin grinned at that. When she asked if the college types would raise there hand he simply sat still, he was a high school senior, and while he was a bit older he was no where near college level math, even if he wanted to be special and cool and raise his hand. He did however turn and look around to see who was, and low and behold Mathew was.
And then she addressed the class as to if they had any questions, Kenin had a few questions albeit completely inappropriate ones so he just kept his mouth shut with his grin showing his intentions of asking why she had lied about her name to him. Not that it mattered, this was just another class. He wanted to get it over with, get the credits to graduate, and get out. His interest in the teacher was not so great that he was going to take a greater interest in math.

AS he raised his hand at the question he was debating just how to go about getting some food right now. It was only the morning and he was starving. Jayr looked mighty tasy right now. So did Matt. NO he had to snap out of it, he wasnt a cannibal. He was a lot of things, most pretty bad but cannibal wasnt one of them. Still was it cannibalism if the person looked like a tasty steak???
No he had to snap out of this funk before it hit the fan. God why did it have to be math first thing in the morning. Why couldnt he have something that was at least interesting to him. God damn math. Looking at the teacher he noticed she had a veil on. Just like a hamburger in a wrapper.... MMMMMM hamburgers. Maybe he would gnaw on her instead of Matt and/or Jayr.

Sparce Enjoyment "Good morning."
Jayr's head picked up giving the tall boy with the white hair a wide smile. There was something familiar about his presence yes but she couldn't relate it to anyone she knew. Darn for having a terrible memory, certainly it'd come to her at one point but for now she simply rose her hand and waved admitting to a welcoming good morning.
"Morning."
She'd chip in brisky offering the same courtesy to Matthew and Vetis who each looked their own share of sleep deprived and not wanting to be a part of this lesson.
"Good Morning Class my name is Ms. Cardellini." Almost immediately as though a dial being flipped in her head Jayr would shift to attention granting the woman a bit of courtesy in taking up her class attentively making sure that she wouldn't be the one to cause trouble. Perhaps she was a bit of a brown nose but if there were more girls in this class or chatty cathies she'd be more inclined to slip up with that rule. In the back of her head she considered talking to Matthew, he seemed the type to enjoy talking alot, though the subject matter would probably revolve around himself.
"You can call me Ms. C. for short. This class is geometry I. I see we have our highschool students nad our college students sharing classes so while we will work togehter I will have different assignments for the seperate grades. Just so I dont have to look in my book would you be so kind as to raise your hand if you are college level?"
Jayr's hand would remain at her desk side quickly flipping up a binder and pulling loose a notepad which she'd begin scrawling on curiously without any subject detail aside from bordering the sides with flowers. She was still but a Senior after all.
"Also before we begin with the lesson do we have any questions?"
Nope. Math was math, and honestly she wanted to be done with it all.

"Well then if there are no questions. Lets see what you have got. My high school student I have three questions for you. As soon as you have the answer let me know and then I will since its the first day, allow you to do as you please so long as you are not a disruption." I said to Jayr and Id have to assume that was Kenin. Was unusual he had the same name as that oddly tall boy who pointed me in the right direction. Picking up some chalk I wrote the following on the blackboard.
1.What are two noncoplanar lines that have no points in common? 2.What postulate is being applied here? 9(x + y) = 9x + 9y 3.What geometric figure is the graph on a number line the set of numbers satisfying x -10?
"Ok, Jayr and Kenin get to it." Now James and Matthew since you are college level you get something else to do. I expect a bit more out of you two so please do not disappoint." I was a bit more stern with them but I was being honest. As college students I did not feel I needed to hold their hands and walk them through everything. On the other side of the blackboard I wrote there problems down.
1.An angle has a measure 44 degrees more than the measure of a supplement to it. What is the measure of the angle? 2.Given: 1 and 2 are a linear pair. Conclusion: m1 + m2 = 180 degrees. Justify. 3.A line contains points (4, -3) and (7, -4). What is the slope of a line perpendicular to this line? 4.True or False. Vertical angles are always supplementary. 5.Two times the measure of the supplement of an angle is seven times the measure of the complement of the angle. Find the measure of the angle. 6.Given: and have the same slope. Conclusion: . Justify
As I set the chalk down I would eagerly wait and see just how good they really were.
OOC: Vetis name was in his bio, I figured teachers would not be calling him by his nickname. I can change if there is a problem. ;D

Kenin began writing down on his piece of paper. He knew the answer to number one by luck alone, he remembered from an earlier class he had in math back in Chicago, something about the lines not being parallel or something? Not touching and not related or something? Whatever it was, he didn't understand the answer, but he knew what it was. So he wrote down... 1. Skew Lines. Now for number two, he didn't quite understand which postulate or remember quite what a postulate was. So he began doodling a picture of himself fighting someone, stick figure style with poor art skill, his hair was pretty evident in the photo though, so the paper read... 2. Don't know, here's a drawing of me in a fight. And then for the third one he wasn't sure, he could guess, or he could draw again. So his answer read this... 3.

Bleh
Mathew really didn't want to do this. He wanted to nap, he wanted to goof off. He wanted to go and eat food or something. He had already had breakfast, but that didn't mean he couldn't go for a snack just out of boredom.
When the teacher started to write down the problems on the board he sighed deeply. He wasn't happy about being in class today. Still, he reached down to his stuff and pulled out a pencil and piece of paper and wrote his name down. From there he proceeded to stare blankly at the paper, willing the answers to appear on the page. It wasn't that he couldn't figure the answers out because they were hard. He was actually a very smart young man.
The problem just happened to be a crippling case of apathy and laziness. He didn't want to do it cause it didn't sound fun. Tearing his eyes away from the paper he would scan across the room, seeing how everyone else was coping before slinking down in to his chair, tapping his pencil against his desk. Three quick taps followed by a small break and then two quick taps. Over and over he would repeat the pattern getting lost in it's rhythm as he started to space out.

Pressure 1.What are two noncoplanar lines that have no points in common? 2.What postulate is being applied here? 9(x + y) = 9x + 9y 3.What geometric figure is the graph on a number line the set of numbers satisfying x -10?
Staring at the board Jayr quickly realized she wasn't in Chicago anymore. Yeah sure she heard California's schooling system was broken but she didn't realize they were this far ahead of Chicago. She'd feel the mental icon of herself within her head flailing aimlessly within the confines of her brain trying to find her way out.
then of course she stated for them to not let her down, that she expected a lot form them. Panic setting in as Jayr quickly posed a hand to her forehead hoping her cold hands would otherwise cool her temperature down, stimulate some mental conjunction, or by osmosis somewhere along the lines the former student could've transferred their knowledge or better yet answers. Only to no avail, she was on her own in this one.
Jayr Byrne.
She'd start with her name quickly folding the paper in half to scrabble the work out to the side as she expected long formulas.
1. Skew Lines....?
Written hesitantly with slight caution thrown to the wind.
2. Distributive Property.
That one was easy.
3. A ray.
Jayr would sigh quickly erasing the last one before rewriting it once and then twice finally satisfied with the calligraphy and settling her hands and pencil over the paper as though to hide it from shame.

He answered all the questions 1. 112 degrees 2. Straight Angle Assumption 3. 3 4. False You can have non vertical right angles 5. 54 degrees 6. Parallel Lines and Slopes Theorem
All he could hear in his head was the theme of jaws as he made his way towards his target. Jayr didnt look to appatizing anymore, also she might hit him. Matt was a guy and had Vetis # so eating him was probably not a good idea. The other kid had B.O. One target left. As Vetis skullked around the floor he made his way behind the teacher. She was short and stout.... yum. Her legs looked like chicken and he took a bite out of crime. It didnt really taste all that good.... wait a minute why did I just bite a teacher Vetis thought to himself getting all kinds of alarmed. YOUR NOT FOOD >_>
All he could hear was the theme of jaws
