"I ain't dead yet."'No not yet....'Gabriel turned to his full directional angle his right hand veiled for but a moment before being consumed in light. A fiery roar of the sun buzzing in his hand that would blind anyone looking upon it normally. A crooked smile upon his face before turning upwards with the open palm splitting between his legs and clasping the center of the chest with a heavy weight. "Dragon Fist!"A sudden bang would be heard and the radiant surge of energy would explode in all directions from the opened palm and erupting into Roth's chest forcing his body with the carrying force of the hand to the floor smoldering the very ground around his torso. Raising his hand from the boy's chest in whatever condition he was the boy would be undoubtedly a wreck. Torn, Destroyed, irrevocably destroyed. Gabriel's hand would be smoking. "Nice toy..."A sadistic sort of grin he'd wear before crouching to lean over Roth's barbecued body, a lazy hand would peel off his armbands and pat them over the injury from the intense blast where they'd begin to heal slowly. Broken bones, torn skin, charred exterior all healed with the remains left only a scar from the burn would remain unless time of course healed the wound. "I need you alive for something I've had in mind..."A stark snicker. The glove unbuckled from around his wrist and placed on the boy's originally injured torso. "Welcome to the Paladins.."====================================== Strength: 110+4=114 Dexterity: 122+4=126 Constitution: 215 Intelligence: 100 Wisdom: 100+4=104 Charisma: 100 Qi Activated - Dragon Fist AttackStrength: 614 Dexterity: 126 Constitution: 115 Intelligence: 100 Wisdom: 104 Charisma: 75 ITEM OFFICIALLY GIFTED

The last thing Roth remembered was charging forward to strike the mysterious man with his knees. The next thing he knew he was on the ground writhing in pain. He was alive, there was no Red Sky. He could see the moon and the stars, the cold of winter giving the illusion of death, but without the vision of the Red Sky he knew he was still alive.
What had happened to him was was a power that would rip a normal man in half. The Dragon Fist. The pure power behind it was god like compared to Roth's. By some miracle he survived Under normal circum stances his sternum would be shattered, but something happened. A light infused coating wrapped around his chest. It felt so warm and Roth understood where it cam from.
"R-- Rita... I- I will... avenge... you."
Slowly Roth's hand would move to his pocket for his phone. He needed to contact Marcus, the only man he trusted in his situation. If Esau or his men found him in disguise in a place like this there's no doubt that his entire plan and Blacksmoke would be finished. He was injured, but he didn't want to risk the hospital, only Marcus would be trusted to take care of him and his wounds with out the risk.
Then he felt the large golden glove fall onto his chest. It was smoking and Roth could feel the power of the glove resonating from the Dragon Fist. He remembered seeing alight, not only on his chest, but from the glove. Then he realized this was a gift.
"Paladins? W- what's your name?"
Now he would wait wounded, but not out. He wasn't dead and he wasn't going to die. He had lost though, he knew that. He wasn't going to be able to get back up. All he could do was try and talk to this mysterious man. What were the Paladins, and who the hell was this god like figure?

Gabriel heard the boys brief noise, though he couldn't know as to what it referred to. Avenge? Such a primal desire but one that was instilled in all those with any sort of motivation. Gabriel frowned briefly remembering his motivation to change the system only to see what'd happen come back to haunt his family, to burn back trails in his heart. Fists at his sides flexed to offset the anger and make sure it wasn't present in his face aside from the slight buckling of his jaw. The motion disconcerted and trained back into a hasty grin. "Paladins? W- what's your name?"Gabriel redrew the armbands back to his wrists and politely slapping his hands against one another in a manner that would suggest he was of high class. The motion implying also that he was wiping his hands of this dirty work being too high class that he didn't muddle his hands in unpleasantries. "I am Gabriel Seran....Nova Dragon... and now the Divine Paladin."A stark smirk as he played one of those polished hands extending long, cold fingers into his coat pocket and drawing out a small patch the size of a school badge and playing with it in his fingers. A steady smirk about his disposition before handing it down to Roth's chest with the glove. "You my friend are to be the Sol Paladin...In due time you'll come to understand what I mean."Gabriel always liked his games to require a bit of work to them, no sense in giving away all his secrets much less ruin the game before its even begun.

Paladin? Roth was no warrior of God. He wasn't sure he believed in religion. What he believed was power, power of people. Roth was a warrior and Gabriel was a God compared to him. IF he was going to be a Paladin then that is what he would be. Roth O'Roak, the Sol Paladin. Nice ring to it. He had never held a title before, this was the first time he had been given such a thing.
Inch by inch Roth would try to rise to a sitting position, no luck. His wounds were too great, he was immobilized. A patch with a symbol would land also on his chest with the gauntlet. A small patch with symbol on it. A series of lines that looked like an E.
"Last time...I- I checked...Sol didn't...have an E...in it."
A small gravely chuckle would escape Roth's mouth as he made his silly comment. Even with the immense pain he was able to joke around. If Gabriel would toy with him he'd toy right back. He didn't fully understand what the man said. But he believed him saying one day he would understand. Once again Roth was part of something much larger than himself.
Sol Paladin... Roth wasn't 100% sure what Sol meant.
"Paladins eh? What's the M.O.? The reason... for being?"
(ooc: I do know what Sol means, but Roth is dumb =D)

"Last time...I- I checked...Sol didn't...have an E...in it."
'Smartass'
Gabriel's eyes would form into slightly irritated slits before heightening upwards into a humored direction not speaking but rather commending to his wit.
"Its an arcane symbol for Ash. As in the trail of ash you'll undoubtedly spread."
A slight smirk on his face before turning upwards to stand. His hand slowly riling through his hair for but a moment before Roth asked more questions. Always the same sort, he remembered back in San Francisco when he began the Black Knights. So many questionable little soldiers.
"Paladins eh? What's the M.O.? The reason... for being?"
"M.O.? Reason? To be the strongest of course."
Gabriel would smile, there was more to it of course, like all of his little games but that was for another time, when he saw an opportunity to exploit this.
"When the Round comes together I'll explain more. Until then keep vigilant, I expect you to be a bit more next time."
A snide smirk before disappearing in a flash appearing on the side roads by his Audi and speeding off.

He was glad that this man, Gabriel, found his little joke funny. It was a good thing that these two men thought alike. The main objective was to be the strongest, Roth could be a part of that. It was his sole reason for existence. To become as strong as he possible could before death. He would need that power to take down Esau. That would be the day he died.
"A bit more? Next time... I'll be twice...as strong."
That was Roth's determination. To become as strong as possible before the next time they met. His new gauntlet would make sure of that. Before he knew it Gabriel Seran was gone, but Marcus was there soon after. His arms were useless and his torso nearly snapped in half.
Marcus would rush over to the fallen warrior.
"What happened to you!?"
Roth looked around at the area as Marcus helped him rise to his feet. All along the shattered landscape craters and trails of ash lay in the path of the fights.
"I got promoted."
Marcus would lift Roth back to the car laying him across the back seat. Carlos was there to happily lick his face. Best dog ever. AS Roth and Carlos reunited Marcus would hook up Roth's motor cycle to the back of the car in a ghetto fashion. Once that was set they were back off to the Jungle Cat for Roth to begin to heal.
He was now the Sol Paladin.
