[Zade]

And then, he felt it. The tears. His eyes opened wide. Was these tears of joy? Or sadness? Zade simply hoped it was the former as he slowly moved away from her, turning his head slightly to look at her eyes. And then, he saw them. The tears. Subconciously, his hand lifted from her body and cupped itself over her cheek as his thumb wiped away a tear, his crimson hues looking deep into her deep hazel eyes.

"Aurora? What's wrong? Aren't you... Glad?"

Zade spoke as he neared his face towards hers, his mouth slightly open and his eyes full of worry for the one he loved. He ignored her different hair color and her different style of clothing. He knew this wasn't the one that he shared the apartment with, but he also knew that deep inside, it was still the same Aurora that he knew. The same Aurora that he loved.

[Aurora]

"I-I'm glad Zade...but... I'm scared..."

She was so open toward him. So truthful. Like she had always been. Aurora was scared... her step father had hated her enough to send her away... for good. She hoped it would never happen with Zade.

"I'm not the same person you fell in love with, am I Zade?"

More tears... she felt as if she had hurt him. He had loved the first Aurora. The one who blushed, stuttered, and was oh so proper.

"I can still cook, I promise."

A small little joke, a small little sweet smile despite the tears. That was one thing she knew. Zade loved her cooking. Was that why he loved her?

[Zade]

"Scared? Scared of what?"

He asked, leaning forward slightly so that their eyes were on the same level, his hand still on his cheek and his other hand going up to her shoulders, the hint of worry still in his eyes. Zade could already tell. She had a bad experience in the past with relationships. And then, she asked if she was the same person that he fell in love with, followed by a joke to lighten up the scene.

At that, a small smile came onto his face as he looked at Aurora. She was wrong. True, he loved her cooking, but that was not the reason why he loved her so much. He loved her cause of the way she made him feel, the happiness that she gave him and the time that they had spent together. He loved her because she was her.

"Aurora, you may have changed your appearance, but to me, you're still the same old you. And I love you. This is who you are and who you are meant to be. You don't have to search anymore."

Zade spoke, leaning closer so that his forehead rested on hers, closing his eyes for a moment.

[Aurora]

She blushed, heavily at his face being so close to hers. He was soooo close. Her face was a deep red. It wouldn't just go away, she couldn't get over the fact he was close.

"I-I...I'm scared because...because..."

Her words choked for a few reasons... the first being once again, that he was so close. The second was...because it was hard to say.

"F-father...didn't love me. He didn't want me around. T-Thats why he kicked me out of the house, because he loved the others more. Because my father was a different man..."

An unwanted child. Her real father had died. Her mother remarried because of the bills, and her step-father did not want her at all. The agreement... kicking her out of the house but paying for her rent and food.

She had met Zade...but there was this fear. That every man close to her would react the same way...sooner or later. That she'd never get away from it.

[Zade]

And then, part of her past was revealed to him. He opened his eyes, lifting his forehead from hers as he looked at her with those worried eyes of his again. So, that was the reason why she seemed to opposed to the idea of a relationship? Letting out a single soft chuckle, he gave her a smile, shaking his head as he did.

"Aurora, I will never throw you away. Never."

He put his hand down from her cheek and placed it on her other shoulder, leaning his head back and further away from hers. He knew that she was rather new to this, and rather opposed to it too, so he was going to take it slowly. He did not want to cause her trouble, none at all. He was going to wait, even if it took forever.

[Aurora]

The blush decreased, til it was just lightly there on her pale face. He wouldn't? Ever? A small little smile appeared on her face... she felt...a little better about it. He promised after all, and a promise is a promise.

"A-alright then Zade. I-If you won't throw me away...t-t-then..." Another heavy blush. So hard, so hard to say. Aurora was just so shy. Her voice dropped... but he was still close enough to hear the whisper. "I-I would like...to be your....girl........friend............."

It looked like she could fry an egg on her face. But at least she was saying what she wanted. Even if she felt light headed, and almost ready to faint. Her knees were starting to shake a little. To Aurora, saying you loved some one...wasn't the same as declaring you were dating some one. There needed to be a clarification for the girl.

[Zade]

This time, it was Zade's turn to blush as a wide smile came onto his face. See? Love always prevails. And yet, Zade couldn't believe it. After that scene in the apartment when he returned, Zade thought that he had just thrown away his chance, only to get another one and succeed this time. Shifting his face closer once more, he looked deep into her eyes, before saying in a soft and slow tone.

"And I'll be more than glad to be your boyfriend."

And then, Zade noticed something. She was blushing so much. Too much. Furrowing his eyebrows, he lifted his hand and placed it on her forehead, looking at it for a moment before looking back at Aurora, giving her a smile.

"Wow, you're getting hot... Am I being too close?"

Zade knew how uncomfortable Aurora felt when she was too close to people, and knew why too. That made him wonder, if he was coming in too strong for her.

[Aurora]

Aurora smiled, she was happy. So happy. And yet her face was still on fire. Too much excitement. He had been too close, but Aurora didn't care. She'd have to get over it sooner or later... he was her boyfriend. Her very first boyfriend.

"I-I'm fine. Just over excited I guess..."

A small little chuckle for such a sweet, happy smile. She swayed for a moment, but steadied herself by hugging onto Zade. This was how she was right after getting off the stage. The band members would pick her up, and set her down on a couch in the back...laughing about it til she got up. But this was a little different.

"I want to be close to you."

Soft little words, whispers from her mouth. She just needed to calm down, that was all. Just to calm down. Shouldn't be too hard right?

[Zade]

Zade returned her chuckle with a soft one of his own, putting his hand down. In fact, both of his hands removed themselves from her body, but his right hand gently grabbed hers as he steped closer to her. And then, she swayed. Zade instinctively reacted, his other hand coming up and grabbing her shoulder as he straightened her, but softened his grip as she hugged him, keeping herself from falling. Looking at her worriedly, he let out a sigh.

"I want to be close to you."

When Zade thought he could never be happier, he was wrong. He had the girl of his dreams. But life was never ever easy. He knew that there would be troubles and challenges they will meet. That meant that Zade would have to be stronger. Strong enough to protect her. He looked into her eyes once more, then gave her a smile.

"I don't think you'll be able to go to class like that. Do you wanna head home?"

[Aurora]

"Yes. Let's go home."

Home, that apartment they shared. She kept smiling, but holding tight on him. Aurora wasn't stressed, worried, or scared. Everything would be alright. She had Zade after all. What could possibly go wrong?

"Thank you Zade."

Aurora didn't even think about her family life. Right now, all that mattered was Zade. He would be her life, and it was now doubtful that Zade would have to ever skip a meal. She'd cook him enough food to feed ten people. At least considering how happy she was.

[Zade]

"Let's go, then."

Zade replied, as he stepped to Aurora's side, putting his arm around her neck as he held her close, walking her out of the school. Surprisingly, those group of seniors that always bothered Zade about Aurora seemed to have disappeared. Looks like they had nothing to say now, eh? Zade chuckled at that, and then turned his attention back to Aurora. Finally, he was home.

"Thank you Zade."

Zade looked at her, then gave her a smile. Then, finally leaving the school, Zade turned his eyes to the direction of their apartment. He was then reminded of the feasts and wonderful food that Aurora always cooked for him. Turning to her, he asked with a tone that was akin to that of a child asking a mother.

"So... What's for lunch?"
