"There was an addiction to nicotine once. I know what it's like to break an addiction. You're quite welcome Miss Nanda. I know what it's like to grieve. If you need to talk, I can talk to you about that. But you should talk to your friends and family about it too."
He remained on the desk, still an enigma just sitting there. Could he be nothing but a fleeting dream on the wind? Something that she could take comfort in, knowing that someone's been in that sort of pain too. And that they've dealt with it, in a different way. That it's all been just a dream, where it hasn't, to console her. Out of what? Charity? To work for his own ends?
Or just because he was there at the right place, at the right time?

Oki shook her head and gave a small smiled, "Oki's sisters would simply become overly involved. They call enough as it is," she sighed sadly, "Oki is the eldest of them all, and they're the ones who treat her like she's the younger sister with the constant pushing and pulling and yelling and scolding." She laughed, "Oki prefers talking with him over them about something like this...Oki simply need to get it out of her system. She'll be fine..eventually. After all coming to terms with death is still hard for her."
Because I let myself get attached to a man with a good heart her mind added, she bowed her head for a moment. Sniffed wiped her eyes, would she every feel whole again?
