Rina Who'd you expect? When Leta pulled away slightly, Mila took this as a sign that she really didn't like being touched. The darker-haired girl went to remove her arm, but Leta's words stopped her. Oh. So she preferred minimal touching. At least she was going to let her lead her to the Sushi Bar.
Yeah...things could get pretty disastrous with Rina and Senji running around.
Especially with Senji.
"You don't have to run, you know." Rina suddenly told Leta, flicking Senji on the forehead when he tried to move past her to get a sort of head start. He whined and rubbed the sore spot. "Just me and Senji, okay?" and she turned back to her friend, scolding him about cheating. Mila giggled. Those two. Senji always did bring out the mother in their roommate. Probably because her cousin was a total moron. Sure, he was their age, - Rina had him beat by half a year - but he acted so...childish sometimes.
You couldn't help but worry.
Now, the two stood side-by-side, ready to run. They glanced at each other. Together, they began to countdown. "Three," Senji grinned, his green eyes twinkling mischievously. "Two," Rina rolled her eyes, but smirked. "One, go!" they both took off, Rina instantly gaining about two yards. She was fast, but she didn't have as much stamina as Senji did, so he started to catch up. Their first obstacle was a stairwell that led up and curved around toward a fancy building.
The stairs blocked their path.
For the moment.
Rina darted forward, putting on a burst of speed and leaping over the first rail, nearly landing on top of the second one, but with last-minuet reflexes, she dropped down and slipped under the bar, getting back on her feet and running.
Senji had just a tad bit more trouble, but he didn't lose much ground on her. The silver-haired boy leaped over the first rail, stopped and then jumped the second. Not as graceful, but just as effective. He ran after his cousin's roommate, green eyes determined. Rina was not showing him up! He was a man!! "C'mon Senji, you're so slooooow!" Rina called over her shoulder, laughing as she front-flipped over a low wall, grabbed onto a tree branch above and swung her way over a stone bench. Damn, she had some moves. "Am not!" he yelled back. Growling, Senji raced after her, overcoming the same obstacles with less difficulty than before. He managed to clear the wall much more gracefully by planting his hand underneath him and lifting himself over. Landing on the bench, he leaped down and kept going.
They both came to the last obstacle at the same time. Glancing at each other, they took off at a dead run toward the wall that was a side of a large staircase leading to the roof of a building. Both ran up the side, using the railing as a handhold to pull themselves up.
Surprisingly, it was Rina who slipped.
If it wasn't for Senji, the ocean-eyed girl would have landed on the pavement below. He grabbed her wrist and yanked her back up without a word. Giving him a small smile of thanks, she continued with him the rest of the way over the wall. They both stood at the front of the Sushi bar, catching their breaths as they watched the others approach.

Thats pretty fucking amazing if you ask me.
Leta blushed. She didn't really get genuine compliments all that often. She nodded, and ducked her head down, conceding defeat.
There were a few reasons why she didn't carry a cane around. One of them was that she owed it to herself to be completely independent in every way. It was her way of life. She didn't want to depend on a stick telling her what was what. She had feet, ears, fingers--lately she had been experiencing sudden bursts of sight. All of this was her own doing. She gets through the world without a stick just fine.
Another reason was that she didn't want t seem obviously impaired, though people seemed to always have ways of figuring it out. People tend to think of and treat others differently once they learn they are handicapped in some way. Leta didn't think of herself as handicapped, and didn't want to be treated as such. However, she knew her limitations. Parkour was most likely one of them.
"You don't have to run, you know."
There was the sound of a small pap followed by a pathetic whimper.
"Just me and Senji, okay?"
Leta smiled. She would propose no arguments against this suggestion. Besides that, Leta felt like Rina might have had some sort of score to settle with her friend, Senji.
And then it began. A count down from three, and they were off. She stood there, listening to the jumping and landing, running, falling, leaping, and everything else that happened as they left, until the sounds faded in the distance. Mila and Leta were left with a small breeze, and a few birds calling out to each other.
She turned her head to the soft spoken girl.
"Are they siblings of yours?"

Right then and there, Marcus decided that no matter how uncertain or dark the comming days would be, this moment of walking about town on a nice sunny day with some new friends would always put a smile on his face.
Having seen how uncomfortable Leta was with being touched, Marcus had to almost physicaly resist keep himself from wanting to reach over and muss up the top of the platinum blondes head. Something his eldest brother used to do to him all the time back in the day.
Funny what one gets with hand me downs. One of the rare few he didn't mind too much.
Leta would have no trouble finding her place in the world, of that Marcus was certain. She was a clever girl, almost two times too clever by half. All she needed was a direction and he sincerly wished her luck in finding it.
As for Rina and Senji.......
Marcus reached back and folded his hands behind his head as he walked and watched as the pair took thier places, counted down and began thier run. The man immediatly began studying and breaking down the nuts and bolts on how the pair moved. Senji was good, if alittle unconfident at first. But that was to be expected. You had to learn to walk down the stairs before you ran down, before you start skipping every other step and then before you know it, your sliding down the bannister. Leta had him beat on technique, but just didn't have nearly as much gas in the tank. Her style was also raw and even alittle flashy. One thing was for sure, they both had talent, and thier competitive nature would help drive them forward, always ensuring they would try to outdo the other.
'Was this what went through your mind when you first saw me, Leon Sensei?' Marcus silently wondered as he continued to watch. They were getting better and better, thier movements more fluid, much to his delight. Training them would be a treat. He could jump them straight to practicum, teaching them all the moves they would need to help them get around.
"JESUS H. CHRIST! NICE CATCH SENJI!" Yeah mabey teaching them at least the PK roll first would have been a good idea. He cursed himself for being foolish, but he had to admit, Seeing Senji catch the poor girl was pretty damn cool. He also applauded Rina's recovery, she was back to running as if the drop didn't happen at all.
'Give me Five more people with that level of natural skill and I'll have myself a crew in no time at all!'

Rina Who'd you expect? At Leta's question, Mila shook her head and replied, "Oh no, not at all. Rina is my roommate and Senji is my cousin. Though I swear those two act like siblings on a daily basis!" she laughed a little at this, her eyes following the two teens as they raced and leaped over things in their way. So that was what parkour was, was it?
Interesting.
They came to the Sushi bar where the two stood, panting as they caught their breaths. When Rina had fallen, Mila felt her heart nearly stop. Good things Senji was there to catch her!
The silver-haired boy glanced up at Marcus's words, bringing a hand to the back of his head in a sheepish manner. "It was nothing special." he muttered, eyes on the ground. He looked at Rina. "Though I'm surprised you fell, Rin." at his words, she sent a scowl his way, but then her expression became thoughtful as well. He was right. There was reason to be surprised. Rina went over the climb in her head again, trying to see where she had messed up. Her footing had been off. And maybe if she had actually paid attention to where her hands where on the railing instead of the fact that Senji was ahead of her - dammit! - then perhaps she wouldn't of fallen at all.
"Yeah well," she shrugged, looking over at Marcus, Mila and Leta who all now stood with them. "I'll just try not to make the same mistake next time." she said, giving Senji a small, knowing half-grin. Senji was good at making mistakes more than once in a row. He chuckled nervously and shot Rina a glare. Shut it. He mouthed and she giggled.

Well isn't this a surprise. The boy had reacted with a speed Marcus almost had trouble following. It was as if he didn't even think, just acting. Encouraging! In fact it made the man wonder if this wouldn't be the first time Rina's silver haired friend had pulled her fat out of the fire..... That kind of reaction time meant those two had one hell of a deep seated bond. Which was why Marcus was completely surprised when Mila admitted that the two actualy weren't siblings.
"Everyone loves a modest hero Senji." The man teased as they approached the pair standing outside the Sushi shop. "At any rate, Don't be surprised if you trip, slip and fall flat on your arse once in awhile. Traceurs, that's what the french call us runners, blaze our own trails. Which means accidents can happen." Marcus admitted with a shrug. "Don't worry though, I'll be teaching you guys some moves that will minimize the danger as well as the damage. Stuff like how to land properly, ways to judge whats safe and whats not, and most importantly, the PK Roll."

"Oh no, not at all. Rina is my roommate and Senji is my cousin. Though I swear those two act like siblings on a daily basis!"
Leta cocked her head to the side and smiled politely at the girl. It was an odd thing to have someone talking about having siblings in a derogatory manner. Leta cherished the idea of siblings. To have someone grow up with you who knew your past, and who had your best interest at heart. Siblings could easily become friends. Best friends. You can never replace a sister.
Her mind drifted from the situation, allowing herself to be driven in the right direction through the light tugs on her arm that Mila unwittingly provided for her. She thought about her old days at the orphanage. The memory of the smell of biscuits and stew caressed her mind. The warm fluffy cat that kept her company in the last days of her stay walked around the legs of her mind. Leta sighed, and suddenly they had stopped. They'd reached their destination. The smell of fish was strong in the air. She wrinkled her nose. It had been a while since she'd had fish.
Since they had been walking while the others were rapidly traversing over the city to the restaurant, Leta and Mila arrived after the other three had. They were all catching their breath as the two of them walked up.
The sound of the voices conversing snapped Leta back to reality.
"Don't worry though, I'll be teaching you guys some moves that will minimize the danger as well as the damage. Stuff like how to land properly, ways to judge whats safe and whats not, and most importantly, the PK Roll."
That was a term Leta had never heard before.
"What's a PK Roll?" she started. "If you don't mind me asking."

'God bless you Leta, I could not ask for a better opening!' And if it was one thing Marcus was always good at, was taking advantage of a good opening. Any good Orator worth his salt would know, and Marcus was almost worth double. He smiled wide, like a wolf that just spotted dinner.
"Well I'm glad you asked that my dear." Marcus began, Jabbing a finger in the air before taking a deep breath. "You see, The PK roll, also known as the Parkour Roll, also ALSO known as the Breakfall, Is a basic forward roll with a twist that not only allows you to survive huge drops and derped landings with minimal injury, but it also allows one to spring back onto thier feet in almost no time at all! The trick is that you roll off of your non dominant shoulder, in my case the left since I'm right handed, diagonally towards your lower opposite side, thus keeping your spine from EVER touching the ground." He explained this with alittle visual representation as he turned his muscular back to them and made an awkward attempt to reach back and trace a finger from his left shoulder down to his right hip. "I have quite literaly walked away from 30 foot drops with this technique. Gotta admit I was HELLA bruised up the next morning though."
Suddenly the mans belly made a loud protest. Marcus chuckled wearily and gave his ponytail a nervous tug. "I do plan on giving a live demo, I just.....need to get some food in me first. Shall we?" He asked with a grand wave of his hand towards the restaraunt doors.

Apparently, a PK roll is a certain kind of maneuver made mid-air to prevent severe spinal damage from the result of a hard fall. Depending on the height of the fall, it would still probably do some damage to you. Just not on anything vital.
It probably wouldn't work the same on stairs.
A loud grumble sounded from Marcus' direction, and Leta jumped slightly. She had forgotten they came here to eat, and the sound caught her off guard a bit.
"I do plan on giving a live demo, I just.....need to get some food in me first. Shall we?"
Her visage changed from surprised to complacent, and she nodded in agreement, voicing a small "hmm."
If Marcus would take take the lead, she would follow shortly after. If not, she would attempt to walk in the fishiest smelling direction cautiously. This might end badly, as she had never been here before. She could be walking straight into a wall with a window open nearby.

It was a good thing Leta hadn't voiced her opinion on Stairs aloud, Lest she risk giving Marcus another excuse to Spit out another Lecture on how to properly fall down. He was somewhat an expert, having been dropped on his ass numerous times before.
Being the hungriest (If I do say so myself) Marcus was the first to the door of the little establishment. The smell of Steamed rice, Various Fish, Meats and Teriyaki sauce making his mouth water. Keeping the door open for the others, Marcus made sure he didn't forget himself and swiped his cap off, running a hand through his thick dark hair that ended with him giving his ponytail a tug.
As one of the waitresses approached, Marcus looked over his shoulder and did a quick head count.
"Table for five please." He spoke and as the young asian woman bowed with a smile and went off to go clear a table, Marcus spun around on his heels and clapped his hands together with a big smile. "Well! This definatly looks promising!"

Rina Who'd you expect? The adrenaline rush from their run was fading, and Rina was getting a little jittery. Plus the fact that OMG-is-smells-so-good-in-here thoughts were swirling through her head. She simply loved sushi. As Marcus mentioned the PK roll, what he called the Parkour roll, they heard Leta ask what it was. Marcus explained, and Rina glanced up and asked,
"Er, what if you're ambidextrous? I can equally use my right and my left hand. Does that mean I'll be able to roll either way if I fall?"
Just then, the waitress returned to lead them to their seats, and Rina completely forgot her question at the thought of food.

Leta would leave the Parkour talk to those who were interested in it. While it might be useful information for some, she was not concerned with running around with no aim whatsoever. Leta always had a purpose with everything. She always had a route. The map of the city in her head was sparse, but efficient. Everything was measured by her perfectly even footsteps. Parkour would only jumble everything up and confuse her. She would probably have to start from scratch.
When the hostess would return to lead them to their table, Leta would follow. The place was different from what she was used to, and she looked forward to trying some new foods. On the walk to their table, she would try to pick apart the different smells the wafted throughout the room, to no avail. Everything meshed into one giant scent compiled of fish, rice, and salt mostly. They would occasionally walk through a cloud of something new, like teriyaki or chicken.
The footsteps ahead of her would promptly stop, and Leta would stop with her, waiting for the others to take a seat first.
"Booth alright?" the lady would ask with a strong accent. Her voice seemed so sincere in the question, as though she were asking family.
"Just fine, thank you." Leta would reply to her warmly with a smile.

"Pretty much actualy." Marcus explained to Rina as they followed the waitress to thier booth. "Ok, you know what? This is getting kind of scary now. Normaly people can't stand to listen to me for 2 minutes, let alone 20." As they were seated, Marcus reached over and began to divy out the small plates, chopsticks and cups of hot green tea to everyone. "I mean I'm pretty sure I talked more in the last few hours than I ever had in the last few years. Now THAT'S saying something."
Sipping from his tea, The man wiggled in his seat to get himself comfortable. To be honest, he was starting to get bored of talking about Parkour for so long. One of the many problems with being ADHD and having an abysmally low attention span.
Well, why not do some listening instead? "I got an idea! How bout you guys satisfy a curiosity of mine. What was the school like before.......well, before all this craziness happened?"
His eyes suddenly went wide as he noticed the waitress was still standing there. "OH! Oh I'm sorry, I'll have a chicken teri don and 6 piece California rolls and a coke please." Marcus definatly hoped that the rolls were as delicious as the irony.

Rina Who'd you expect? Before Senji could open his annoying mouth to the waitress (like, you know, use a pickup line or something), Leta spoke up that a booth was fine for seats. Rina took the opening and pinched her silver-haired friend in the ribs. "Ow! Hey!" he hissed, but then looked sheepish when he realized that Rina had seen him eying the young woman. "What? She's hot." he shrugged.
"Idiot." she snorted. As they all took their seats, the waitress took their orders. Rina and Senji wanted the buffet, and Mila just ordered a bowl of soup to start with.
"Ok, you know what? This is getting kind of scary now. Normally people can't stand to listen to me for 2 minutes, let alone 20."
Marcus's voice came from across the table. Rina looked up with a mischievous smirk at the word scary. "Well, we are pretty scary people." she said and Mila began to giggle.
"Just ask Senji." she laughed.
"No. Don't ask me."
"Why not Senji?"
Rina's sly smile made him twitch. Mila snickered, trying not to roll on the floor in laughter. "They really don't wanna know." he muttered, and turned to look at Marcus. "I'm telling you. The things this girl does are just plain evil."
That got both girls shrieking in laughter and trying to quiet each other down at the same time.
Then,
"I got an idea! How bout you guys satisfy a curiosity of mine. What was the school like before.......well, before all this craziness happened?"
"Marcus, it's not I got an idea, it's I've got an idea." pointed out Mila.
Rina smacked her arm. "Prep school bitch." she grinned, and the shorter girl stuck up her middle finger, making them both laugh. Then, Rina looked over at Marcus. "That depends on what you wanna know. The good or the bad? Or both? A lot went on in that school, but it sure was kick ass."
