Not finding anything of use in her room, Silk would stomp down stairs to the garage after having heard the motorcycle leaving. She was still seething pissed that he spoke to her like that, that he even dare insinuate that she couldn't do anything. Just thinking about it, the silver haired woman growled low and punched the tailgate of her precious truck immediately denting it. She pulled her hand back, knuckles sore and red. It had been a long time since she punched anything. She wasn't exactly sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Though, upon seeing the medium fist size dent in her trucks lovely black tailgate she regretted that the thing she punched was her own machine. She would stroke the truck as if to apologize to it. "Stupid Marcus. Fuck him." She grumbled as she thrashed about in her garage looking for a decent sized piece of scrap to solder onto the pipe and cover the hole.
Forgiveness was not in the silver haired females nature, grudges held a long time for her. Even people who were long since passed or no longer a part of her life still had a bit of her disdain. Though, because Marcus was her friend... he had a better shot than most at gaining her forgiveness. Just... maybe not right now. She would yank open the tool box only to find that the only metal she had laying about was indeed the tool box its self. She loved her tool box. It held the tools to fix her car, to fix appliances, plus all her hammers. The woman loved hammers. Still, to prove Marcus wrong, she'd sacrifice her truck if she had to. Blame it on her pride if you must, but Silk never liked being talked down to or told she wasn't of use. Rage could cause you to do amazing things if put to use properly. Silk's case was no different.
She'd take apart her tool box, the large sucker crumbling under the angry weight of one of her hammers. That is right. She took the hammers out of her tool box, along with all her tools only to use them to rip the thing a part and to make several usable sheets of metal. She wouldn't bother stripping the red shiny paint off it though. No point in that, at least not to her. She'd grab the soldering wire she had in her tool box, no doubt Marcus didn't go rooting through it because it wasn't his. For that little moment...Silk wasn't mad at him. The boy didn't go through anything that wasn't his and he had kept her place safe while she was doing her self pity party in her room for the last several months... for a moment, her features softened. She'd catch that dent in her truck and the anger would return rather quickly. Friend or not, no one got away with treating or talking to her like that. She'd make Marcus eat those words if it was the last thing she did.
She'd carry her tools out into the back yard, check the batteries in each of them and make sure they still worked before approaching that damn hideous pipe in her back yard. She'd kneel before it and put on her sunglasses that Aiko managed to find and bring her. The fox might not have been a golden retriever but it sure as hell brought her what she wanted anyway. Silk would hold one of the sheets of metal that she tore down her tool box to get, up against the pipe. She'd use a small ball peen hammer to tap the metal down around to form to the circular shape of the pipe and then she'd start up the little soldering rod and begin to solder the piece of metal to the pipe around the hole. "Stupid fucking... little bitch... telling me I..." She grumbled the entire time and it was probably best Marcus not be around when Silk had all these shiny tools out. She might have been tempted to use them on him.

"....Did it....Blaming me. This isn't 552 anymore...... not that little 16 year old boy anymore........goddamnit." Marcus grumbled as he tore through the city streets. He decided to take the long way to crow territory, skirting around the Red zone that belonged to Barker instead of just cutting right through it. In his current state of mind, getting into a fight would NOT be the best thing to happen. He never exactly did his best fighting when he wasn't thinking straight.
Checking himself at the border of the Crows territory, Marcus found a nice spot to park and draped the camo sheet over Lady before walking off with a duffel bag over his shoulder. He always liked walking through Crow territory. It always reminded him that no matter how bad things got, that human beings were resilient creatures and would not bow to oppression easily. Even here he could see sighns of the way things were before, like how the people under the crows protection walked with thier backs alittle straighter and heads held alittle higher than those out in the Neutral zone.
Walking through, he found what he was looking for. Two city blocks dedicated to trade, like a Middle eastern or Chinese Market set up even out in the street itself. The smell was what hit him first, of street meat and unwashed bodies. Most of the vendors here had no real booths or anything of the kind, instead sat on the dusty pavement with cloth wrapped around thier mouths to keep the dust out, a blanket or carpet laied out with thier wares atop of it.
It wouldnt take Marcus a good couple of hours before haggling for the things he needed. Marcus learned how to Barter from his Indian grandmother of all people. A Cutthroat haggler was she!
Soon after, duffel bag full of electronics and scrap metal, Marcus would return to his bike and Ride off, making his way back to the compound.

The scent of melted metal was in the air. Sparks flying as she soldered the red sheet of metal to the pipe with only her sunglasses as eye protection from the heat of the soldering tool. Her eye twitched in annoyance with Marcus. She still seethed over his insinuation that she didn't do anything. If it wasn't for her, he wouldn't have a house to even fortify and do all this stupid shit to. She's gone for a few months and suddenly the little shit gets balls that are too big for him. A hot spark landed on her shoulder but she ignored it even as it burned her skin. The pain from it would probably rear its ugly head when she wasn't so busy being angry. With the pipe patched up she would stand back to let the metal cool. It had taken her hours, or at least she assumed it had. The hole she had made and the hole Marcus had made were so close she only needed to use one piece of metal to patch it up.
She would take the skirt she had used to try and clog the holes earlier and rip it up to bundle the metal sheets she had left and to make sure she didn't get cut on them by accident. Her hands were already a little bit punished from her soldering the metal to the pipe. She'd go about putting her tools up in her room and the spare scraps of metal before going into the garage and looking at the dent she had put in her truck. "I'm sorry princess... but that ass had wasn't around to take the punch." She spoke to her truck as if it had feelings and would understand her rage. With a sigh Silk would go back into the house. Bandit and Aiko practically tripped her by walking under her feet, but they were scared she might go back into her room with how angry she was at Marcus.
She'd make her self something to eat. Marcus was a big man, at least he spoke to her like one. He could fix his own god damn food. After that was made she would find her self stomping off to go climb one of those look out towers he had on the houses and look around while she ate. The last thing on her mind was talking to her friend. Short of apologizing and taking it all back, he couldn't appease her. Climbing up to the look out tower was bit harder with a sandwich in one hand, but Silk managed to do so after several tries. Once up there she would sit and eat her lunch. The silence around her reminding her of the quiet of her room and almost making her feel insane as she heard her own voice rambling off a list of things to do to help Marcus eat his words.

Silk would probably hear Marcus long before he came into few off in the distance, the signature staccato thrum and beat of his Softail Custom echoing, growing louder as he closed in on the compound. As The compound came in sight, Marcus took a deep breath and fought the nerves he was feeling down. Half of him was gearing itself up for another fight the second he roared through those gates with the other half wondering what tricks or traps were waiting in store for him. Cause if Marcus knew Silk (And the jury was still out on that by this point) she would NOT be taking this lying down.
Hooking up one of the neighbors garage door openers to the compound gate was one of the most ingenious ideas Marcus had had in awhile. With a click of the remote, the gate came up and Marcus was inside. Pulling up his goggles, the man coasted towards Silks garage. The fact that he hadn't seen any sign of the infuriated Silver haired woman sent a chill up his spine. At least there was nothing he could do to Lady. Not while he was still atop of her.
Fighting down the urge to call out her name, the man walked his bike inside the garage, covered it in its protective tarp and made his way to the back yard with his bag of newly aquired goods. Well, first things first was to inspect the damage and...... 'Oh hello, what have we here?' It would seem that someone had been doing alittle welding of thier own. Marcus inspected the seams and found that he could not pry whatever sheet of metal Silk must have used.....
"Oooooh boy. I think I owe someone an apology......" Marcus muttered out loud as he pulled his flatcap off and gave his shaggy head a scratch. "SILK?" He yelled, voice echoing around the compound. He would then wait until the little spanish woman would reveal herself.

Silk sat up in one of the guard towers that sat up on her house. She ate her sandwich rather happily. She had worked up quite an appetite trying to hold down her anger. The silence that calmed her anger soon died away, replaced by the roar of Lady's engine. Her eyes narrowed as she finished her sandwich and dusted her hands off. She would peer over the wall of the look out post and spotted Marcus approaching the gate to their little compound. Silk would quickly get down from the look out post and climb the tree in her backyard. Marcus eventually came into the back yard. Aiko and Bandit followed him. Even they were worried when they had lost Silk. No one had ever actually spoken to their owner like that and they knew her well enough to know that it wouldn't go unpunished.
Silk's dark brown eyes held lots of emotions, though more prominent right now was her anger. She didn't hate Marcus, no she could never hate him. However she felt quite angry at him for expecting her to change despite the idea that the world around them had crumbled. The last thing she wanted to do was change again. She tried to change, for Tenchi, for his family and all that got her was the pain and annoyance of not really knowing who she was anymore. She didn't want to become any more confused just because the world went to hell. She watched from the tree, brown eyes hidden from the light as she waited like Bandit up in that tree. She watched him try to pry the welded metal off and then she watched him scratch at his big dumb head. Her tongue slid over her lips and the moment her name was called and he had moved a decent distance away from the pipe looking for her, she shot out of the tree at him.
Her attack was very much like Bandit, but instead of some little feline flinging itself through the air at him, it was a full grown woman and she looked seriously pissed off. If you think about it, it is kind of eerie how she remained so quiet watching him like that. Her legs wrapped around his waist as her body connected with his. No doubt the force and the fact it had been a surprise attack would throw him off balance and send them both to the ground. The moment they hit the ground Silk growled and slammed her fist down into the dirt beside his head and glared down at him. "Don't EVER say I don't pull my own you little shit. Your balls will never be big enough to talk to me that way. You hear me?" She didn't even yell. Her voice growled out from behind her teeth as she glared down at him. Satisfied with probably having startled him at least from the surprise attack she would stand up.
She dusted off her hands and brushed the dirt off her knuckles from having punched the ground. She would just let him stay there if he so chose to.

"See? It's THAT! THAT RIGHT THERE!!" Startled? Marcus was on his feet and nose to nose with Silk by the time she had found her footing. Teeth bared in a snarl, the mans eyes had hardened into twin chips of razor sharp amber. The muscles in his neck buldged as his entire body braced itself like a tightly coiled spring. "Not big enough? I'M ONE OF THE LAST FEW PEOPLE ON THE PLANET WHO ACTUALY STILL GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOU!" Stretching his arms out, he made a sweeping gesture to encompass the counpound. "ALL THIS? FOR YOU YOU UNGRATEFUL LITTLE BITCH! You're house, your pets, your fucking BIKE, who do you think took care of those while you SHUT YOURSELF AWAY!?!?!?!" And STILL That's not enough for even a simple THANK YOU?"
Almost vibrating with barely contained fury, Marcus broke away and began to pace back and forth, massaging his temples with the palms of his hands as he fought hard to take deep breaths, but once again he found himself up in Silks face with an accusational finger pointing right at her. "And you know why? Cause you never respected me[/b did you? I was just a big JOKE to you wasen't I? Silly little Marcus climbing in a tree hmm? You never EVER had a kind word for me, and WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE FRIENDS! Neither word of praise for helping you with the Rose, nor a pat on the back for finaly bucking Kelsie off myself. Just more of you're STUPID GAMES and your god awful TAUNTING!"
The urge for violence was threatening to overwhelm the poor man. Making his bunch up and bulge, giving the illusion that he had actualy grown in size like an angry grizzly bear. His fists clenched so hard that his blunt fingernails dug trenches into the flesh of his palms. His words flew out with a torrent of foamy spittle. "I COULD TEAR YOU LIMB FROM LIMB FOR GODS SAKES! MABEY THEN I'D FINALY GET THROUGH TO YOU! MABEY THEN YOU'D FINALY SHOW ME SOME GOD DAMN RESPECT!"

It seemed Marcus didn't need time to recover. He got to his feet just as soon as she had gotten to her own. Face to face with him, Silk stared him down. Her own dark brown eyes narrowing in annoyance with him as he yelled at her. Most probably would have cringed or backed down in some way, but Silk stood her ground. She said nothing, her tongue flicked readily against her teeth as she waited almost like a poised viper ready to strike. So he believed that she didn't respect him? Didn't care about all the things he did? Was thank you something she really had to say? Her own hands balled into fists at her sides as she continued to contain her own rage. His words weren't making it easy for her, not in the least. The moment the last bit of spit flew from his lips, Silk would strike.
"DO YOU FUCKING HEAR YOUR SELF!? Why the hell are you so bent on seeking my approval!? YOUR A GROWN ASS MAN! ACT LIKE IT! I refuse to give you a sticker every time you get something right! Life isn't kindergarten Marcus! It never was and never will be! I never thanked you for anything you did because I believed you were doing it out of the goodness of your HEART! NOT BECAUSE YOU WANTED MY APPROVAL!" Silk roared back. Bandit and Aiko watched the two of them. In all the years that the two had been friends this had never happened. The only person who could make Silk fly into this type of a rage was Tenchi. Both animals dropped to the ground on their bellies and covered their ears with their paws knowing the worst had yet to come.
"YOU SAY I NEVER RESPECTED YOU!? WELL I THOUGHT YOU KNEW ME SO WELL MARCUS!? You should know better! I wouldn't keep you around if I didn't respect you! For fucks sakes! You have seen me toss people out of my life just for looking at me wrong! I left New York and the ONLY fucking person I wrote to was YOU!" She snarled at him as she remained rooted in her spot. Her hands clenched at her sides as her body strained to contain the anger inside her. "As for getting rid of that blind little bitch, I didn't pat you on the back because I didn't think it would be something you would be proud of! Don't get me wrong, I hated the little rat, but I respected you enough to keep that to myself all that time you were with her and I was going to continue to keep it to myself, but since you bring it up..."
Silk took a deep breath as it seemed she had been forgetting to breathe. "CONGRATULATIONS FOR DITCHING A BLIND, RETARDED, LITTLE SLUT THAT WASN'T WORTH YOUR TIME ANYWAY!" She screamed at him, her entire body starting to tremble with anger as her hands flew into the air wildly above her head like she was throwing confetti. "CONGRATULATIONS FOR FINALLY COMING TO YOUR SENSES! CONGRATULATIONS FOR FINALLY REALIZING YOU WERE BETTER THAN THAT!!" Silk had kept her hatred for Kelsie contained quite well but to finally say it, she actually felt slightly better. It didn't remove her anger but she felt... lighter now that she wasn't keeping her dislike for the girl a secret anymore.
"GO AHEAD! I DARE YOU TO PUT A HAND ON ME MARCUS!" She shouted at him, her eyes narrowing once again as she growled. "SHOW ME WHAT A MAN YOU HAVE BECOME! THAT WILL CERTAINLY GAIN MY APPROVAL WON'T IT!?" She would ball her hands up into fists again and drop them to her side. "I respected you since our first fight Marcus... Why do you think I didn't actually snap your ankle?! I didn't pity you, or even think of you as an adorable silly toy! I saw you as a fighter, like me and I felt that if I had actually hurt you, busted that ankle... I could take that fight right out of you! I didn't want to then and even now, with you yelling like some hurt little bitch... I still don't want to." Bandit and Aiko watched in silence. Both of them were rather scared of what might become of this blow out.
"I never respected you... BULL FUCKING SHIT!" She shouted at him. Her throat feeling raw and sore by now. Silk hadn't screamed like this in a long time and her throat was taking punishment for it.

As the last dying echoes of Silks voice faded, silence swept over the compound which brought with it a tension so thick it threatened to suffocate everyone under it. With a long drawn out sigh Marcus seemed to deflate, his depleted rage leaving him feeling sick and cold as the adrenaline dump cause his legs and arms to shake. Pinching the bridge of his nose between thumb and forefinger, Marcus just shook his head slowly. "Back in high school, I looked up to you." He said in a quiet voice that had the consistancy of Iron. "Is it really that wierd to want to impress someone you look up to Silk? Someone you care about? Is it really that alien a concept for you?"
Crossing his arms, Marcus leveled a cool gaze at his Silver haired friend. "So why did you Fix the Pipe then? Out of the goodness of you're heart? Or was it to spite me? Did you expect me to come crawling on my knee's and beg forgiveness Silk? It's the same Concept woman! You did it to get a reaction out of me. I didn't ask you to touch the damn thing in the first place!"
Turning his back, Marcus would walk off with a dissmissive wave of his hand and leave her to chew on that for awhile. "I'm done with this. If you need me, I'll be in the towers."

The silence that fell upon the compound was maddening, at least for Silk. The tension added to that made her head ache as if she had just been out drinking. Her body shook, still fighting back anger. Marcus might have calmed, but Silk sure as hell hadn't. If he thought he could just dump all this on her now and walk off, he was wrong. Silk didn't even wait for him to turn away. The moment his hand raised to wave it all off, Silk started again. This time though, the rage in her voice had tempered just a bit. "Alien concept it is Marcus. I cared for people, I only ever looked up to a few. Even still, I never needed their acknowledgement to say I had done a good job. I knew I had. Isn't your own knowledge of having done what you did satisfying enough?"
Silk had never really looked up to anyone aside from her sister. She never intended to impress anyone either. Silk always did things that satisfied her. If they made others happy than so be it. "I fixed the pipe because YOU told me that I almost destroyed all your hard work. It seemed only right that I fix what I broke." Inside her head she could hear this rage filled scream. Marcus could never guess how much it angered her to actually have to admit that she broke something or even did something wrong, but she was. Of course, she avoided the idea that she had actually done it because he called her a mooch. That would mean he was right and she did it for his approval. Silk didn't want him knowing that. Really, this whole approval concept pissed her off.
"I know you too well to expect you to beg for forgiveness Marcus and I'd never ask it of you anyway. It would compromise who you are." She would wave her hand now, like waving him off. "At least one of us should be able to accept the other as they are with out asking for things that would be totally out of character. Go off to your damn tower. I'm going back to bed." She would turn away from him and make a beeline towards her home. Bandit and Aiko sat watching the two of them. Finally, both would go sit by Marcus and look up at him with this pathetic gaze of 'we didn't do this right?'.

Marcus ignored Silks last words. The girl was NOTORIOUS for never admiting she was wrong, so he assumed she was just bullshitting anyway to make herself look good. climbing up on of the houses, Marcus trundled off and climbed up the southeast tower, pulling up a plastic lawnchair and twiddling with the small radio he kept just in case, only to sigh with disgust as nothing but static issued forth.
The blowout left him feeling exhausted and more than alittle ashamed of himself. He hated fighting with his friends, he had so precious few left these days. What left an even more ashen taste in his mouth was the fact that each in thier own way, they were both right but were too proud to admit they were both wrong as well. His knee's and hands still shook occasionaly. What sickened him the most was how murderious he had felt. He was still surprised Silk was able to take the wind from his sails.
Essentialy sulking by this point, the Man jerked in surprised when he found himself visited by the cat and the fox. Giving him the proverbial puppy dog eyes, the man couldn't help himself as he reached over and gentlly picked up Bandit and Aiko, depositing them on his lap and idley scratching them behind thier cute little ears. The act helped lighten his mood somewhat, but he found himself still fuming. But for now, he would get some much needed downtime and just enjoy this little quiet moment.
"She's a hard woman to live with I'm sure. Makes me wonder how you guys do it." He murmured to them as he continued to run his fingers through thier fur, slowly feeling the bitterness and anger fade to a dark corner of his brain for awhile.

Silk went directly into her bedroom again and jumped into her bed like a young girl throwing a temper tantrum. Sulking and fuming at the way Marcus had acted and the things he had said, she pushed her face into her pillow and screamed until she couldn't breathe. Yes, I know... very teen age girl like. Still, it was all that she could do, save for actually taking a swing at Marcus and that... Well... Silk never struck her friends in anger. She would roll over and stare up at the ceiling as the screaming match replayed in her head. Was it so bad that she didn't always say thank you or hug Marcus for things he did? Was it wrong of her to expect him to just assume that she appreciated it? Silk frowned at her own thoughts.
Of all the things she had on her mind, her fight with Marcus was not one she wanted there. She would toss and turn for hours on her bed. Her thoughts rolling around. Soft grumbling every now and again passing her lips. Bandit and Aiko had gone who knows where. Silk was left feeling that familiar feeling of total lonesomeness. She sighed sitting up after a few hours of her sulking. She would look at the time and then out her window. Night had fallen. She got up from her bed and walked into the guest bedroom half expecting Marcus to be asleep in there. He wasn't. A sigh left her and she would take down her silver hair from it's pony tail. "Where the hell is he?" She asked softly to herself before moving to go search the rest of the house.
She didn't think about him being up in one of the towers till she couldn't find him. "Stupid idiot is going to get sick sleeping out there..." She mumbled. She scooped up a blanket and tossed it into the dryer. While it heated up, Silk went off into the kitchen to make something for him. She knew he wouldn't have come back in to eat. She was at least that perceptive of her friend. At least she hoped, despite her anger he still was her friend. She'd wrap up the food then go to the dryer and take the blanket out. Tossing the blanket over her shoulder and holding onto the sandwich she had made him she would step outside. It would take her a few tries but eventually she managed to climb up into the guard tower on her house.
Her brown eyes shot around before resting on a mass of hair and a jacket in the corner of the tower. Marcus had fallen asleep. Despite her anger earlier, her features had softened and she sighed very quietly. "You idiot..." She said it with a warmth and gentleness that sounded rather caring for a woman who only hours earlier had screamed her throat raw. With a sigh she would gently ease the blanket of him. Bandit and Aiko curled into two balls of fluff against him. She smiled slightly and pulled the blanket off her shoulder. It was still nice and warm from having been in the dryer. Gently she dropped it over them. Bandit stirred and peeked his head out purring up at her sleepily. Silk put a finger to her lips as if telling the cat to be quiet. He lazily put his head back down.
Silk pondered on waking Marcus up. She didn't want him to not eat and she didn't want the pets to get to his sandwich if she left it up there for him. With a sigh, Silk would reach down and gently tap Marcus on the cheek with two fingers. "Hey, idiot. Wake up. I made you something to eat." Not the best way to wake someone up, and honestly she should have known better but it was the only way she could think of waking him to get him to eat. The sandwich was set right on top of the blanket for him.

It was a surprisingly warm night out tonight, made chill by the wind that would cut down the bone. Marcus had stayed out in the towers mostly because he felt the atmosphere inside the house would be far to inhospitable even if Silk didnt bother screaming at him. Her silence would be just as damning and this was a wound he did NOT want to reopen. As the Darkness approached, bringing on a melodious chorus of crickets and the eerie howls of night animals mixed with the blustering of the cold night wind, Marcus had decided to just pass out in a corner, sheltering the little ones from the cold. He figured he would want to avoid Silk for alittle while until they both calmed down, so Imagine his surprise when he found himself groggily awoken in the middle of the night.
Rubbing his eye with the heel of his palm, Marcus slowly lurched into a sitting position, putting his back to one of the outposts wall, taking care not to roll over Bandit and Aiko. Unfortunatly he ALMOST knocked the sandwitch over, managing to catch it and adjust it to sit on his lap as his muscles slowly began to warm back up. For awhile, he just stared at the plate as if he hadn't the foggiest idea what to do with it before looking back up at Silk and opening his mouth as if to say something, only to shrink into himself somewhat as he casted his gaze back down onto the plate. He coudln't meet her eyes. He didn't trust his tongue to speak. So instead, he just quietly picked up the sandwitch and took a bite, reveling in the taste as he finaly noticed how god damn hungry he was.
After a few minutes of munching, the Man had left nothing but scraps and crumbs as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. "Thanks." He said quietly, his tongue finaly unglued. "Silk.........I'm......Sorry. For everything. I didn't mean to blow up on you like that." He apologized, still staring at the plate, still unable to look her in the eye. He didn't want this. He didn't want any bad blood between them and though he apologized, he knew deep in the pit of his stomach that things were going to be quite different between them from here on out. Whether or not this was a good thing was yet to be seen.

Silk about knocked him in the head for nearly dropping the sandwich she had made for him, but she stayed still, till she was sure he was awake. She would sit down across from him and turn her brown eyes out to the compound as Marcus ate. She didn't expect him to say anything, because honestly... she didn't want to say it herself. It was one of those unspoken rules Silk had for herself. If someone else says sorry, she has to say it in return and while a part of her knew she was a little wrong, the other part of her was too prideful to even dream of admitting it. Aiko and Bandit cuddled close to Marcus as they kept under the blanket. When Marcus finally spoke, Silk turned her brown eyes to him. Damnit, he said it!
She understood why he said it though. Despite their arguing... they were still friends. A smirk crossed her lips and she looked out at the compound again. "Bullshit... you meant every damn work Marcus. You know you did and none of it can be taken back." With a deep sigh she steeled herself for what she was about to say. "But... for what it is worth... I suppose... I'm.... Sorry..." That word stung to say and she even had to strain a little to push it past her lips. There was silence that hung in the air for a while. Silk began to fidget a little before standing up and taking the plate from Marcus. "Get your ass up and go inside. This isn't a good place for you to be sleeping."
Despite her words, her tone was gentle enough. "Bandit... Aiko... get inside." Both pets made complaint sounds as they fidgeted and crawled out from under the blanket. Grumbling both pets climbed their way off the roof of her house and made their way indoors. Silk would motion for Marcus to go next. She expected him to not argue with her about it either.

'Wait....No, no no! Thats not why I was......' Marcus was about to open his mouth to argue, before clamping it shut quick enough for his teeth to click. In hindsight it didn't really matter WHY he was apologizing. The fact was, she had said she was sorry. In all the Decade plus years Marcus had known Silk, he had NEVER heard her apologize before. He seriously wished it didnt give him the warm fuzzies as much as it was right then and there.
Slowly but shakingly getting to his feet and wearing the blanket like a cape pulled tightly around himself, Marcus reached the edge of the tower and peered down. Despite just waking up, the man felt confident enough that he could make the descent and so grunting like a drunk grizzly, the man swung himself over and slolwy began to monkey his way down. Once down he would wait for Silk. If she were to slip and fall, he would be there to catch her.
It was then that he realized how right the woman was. For every taunt and tease and knock on the head she gave him, there was always these quiet kindnesses. Small moments of tenderness that reminded him why she held the covetous position of Best friend. he felt foolish, now that he was calm enough to think back on it. It made him wonder what truely brought on his little fit and how he could fix it.
He liked Fixing things. He found he was getting better and better at it these days. Not like when he was younger. Things always tended to break when he touched it. Once Silk was down, Marcus would follow her inside. Not knowing that she had changed his room, he began to make his way up to the attic of the house.

Marcus didn't argue, but Silk had seen his mouth open only to click shut. She waited till he had gotten down before giving a little triumphant smirk. Then, down she would follow and go off inside with him following behind her. She put the plate on the table, locked the back door and went with Marcus into the hallway towards the rooms. Seeing him start to go up into the attic her brow rose and she reached up grabbing at the blanket he wore around himself like a cape. She gave a rough jerk and yanked him down. She knew he would be okay and land on his feet. "Where the hell do you think you are going?" She asked a brow raised.
She didn't wait for an answer before turning him around and shoving him off towards the guest room and pushing him down onto the bed in there. "THAT, is now a Marcus bed. THAT is where you sleep. Understood?" She said crossing her arms under her chest. "I told you I was going to move your room. I did. Now get some sleep." She would pat him on the head gently and make her way out of the room. If he took the time to look around, he would notice she had taken everything of his out of the attic and put it around the guest bedroom. She went and shut the attic door before going off into her own room. Bandit had gone and crawled into her bed. Aiko skittered in to Marcus' and jumped up onto the bed to curl up with him.
The little fox believed the large man needed cuddles tonight. Besides, Bandit missed having Silk all to himself. "Good Night Marcus!" Silk called from her room as she lay staring at her ceiling.
