She felt impact with the wall and muttered "ow" in between her own attempts to dominate the exchange. She never gave up. She never would. One day she would stand above his corpse, blade having slit his fine fucking throat. But One day could be any day out of millions that the earth had left in her cycle. Bastille would see it done. But today, today freedom wasn't her goal. She needed to know he had been okay, that he was really alive. He was graciously answering her questions.
She hand tangled her arms around his neck, her fingers gripping into his hair. Her sunglasses still on, she used their cover to peek at him. So she wasn't sniffing drugs, this was real. But just to be sure. She let her hand slide down the back of his shirt, her lips parting his and ghosting to the crook of his neck.
Like fucking hell he was going to win this.

As her hand moved down the crook of his neck she would feel the imprinted brand of the Collossai gang, an incident from his younger and more innocent years. The cost of stopping a rape at the hands of a rival gang. A mark he now carried with pride. This was real.
His hand slid down from her back to her ass, gripping it roughly and pulling forward to press her against him more as he leaned in to the kiss. Not willing to be the first one to come up for air.
If there was one thing she would know by the end of the night, it was that he was alive and well.
~Fade to black~
Apparently Bastille blacks out after sex. Something that was a surprise to Mathew, something that he had never encountered before. Though the solution was simple. He used his Qi to move the stone under their feet, Mathew, Bastille, and their belongings sinking in to the ground to travel.
When she awoke she wound find herself in a dark room illuminated by a lamp being powered by a generator. The bed she was in was nice, and king sized. Mathew would be next to her in the bed reading a book, waiting for her to wake.

Bastille would open one crimson eye. Her body feeling the plush comfort of the mattress. Lying on her side, she would roll over on her stomach and groan. Not really wishing to wake back up, her eyes closed again and she let her body slightly lull back into that nice- in between floating sensation. She did NOT just do that. No...no....no. Although frankly her rather -...............less than dressed form told her otherwise. So instead of denying or accepting- she again, forced herself to stay in that light and airing almost asleep state. The one where coherent thought was generally not very possible.

"Welcome back to the land of the living."
He said casually as he turned the page of the book he was reading.

Bastille ignored him. Flat out ignored him. Her brows furrowed as she had to work harder to stay 'asleep'.

He didn't say anything afterward. Just kept reading. She would talk when she was ready.

Bastille looked up from under her arm which was grasping the pillow her head had been on. She just stared at him with beady eyes. Still, she refused to say a word. Although, she did allow her eyes to travel.

He was still naked himself, but was covered by the blanket from the waist down. The book he was reading was The Art of War. He didn't seem to pay her attention, but she would probably get the impression that he was aware of what she was doing. Despite reading.

Her eyes narrowed and she stared harder...harder. The silent tension would be rising like steam out of a kettle.

Oh he felt the tension, but he already spoke once. It would be her turn. So he just went about ignoring her.

Bastille sighed when it wasn't working. She had half a mind to start taunting him, doing things until she pulled his interest, but that would probably result in her knocking out after round two. So instead she picked up her pillow and threw it at him.
"That's my line, you bleeding dimwit"

She hit the book out of his hands with the pillow which caused him to finally look over at her.
"Oh, are we awake now sleepyhead? I'm sorry, that was not very sensitive of me. You are probably looking for extensive pillow talk about all of the boring details of my day. Right?"
He was teasing. Blatantly teasing her.

"I hate pillow talk and no. Start with where the hell you've been these past years?" She was serious, except for the bright blushing on her face which only made the lines around her eyes show more.

He smiled. Not smirked, but actually smiled and leaned in to kiss her for a brief moment.
"You totally missed me."
Not answering her question.

She let her lips curl into a snarl.
"Answer the question Mathew!" Of course she did. He'd left her high and dry with nothing but a fucking coat. So of course she missed him, and she was completely bitter about it.
