Challenge Accepted (Kiyr/Rai)

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kiyr was no stranger to hunger, and even though she had a couple cans of goods in her bag she had yet to take off, she would carry herself with dignity...if she lost.

And she had no intentions of losing.

She let her eyes widen, both innocence and surprise and a pinch of trepidation that may or may not have been entirely real.

"Okay."

While she had longed to spring to her feet and surprise Raikotsu with a fast, sharp opening, she kept her response simple and somewhat soft, but firm. She had no idea what Raikotsu could do, and despite needing to win - in this and every other challenge - she wouldn't let desperation drive her. What Mathew said to do with her commitment, she would do.

She stood, fairly balanced, but relaxed. She didn't bid him good luck, but managed a faint nod.

Rai looked at Matthew then at Kyrie and debated for a moment sure not to take his eyes of Kyrie should she decide to attack before stating.

"I won't eat tonight."

He stood but otherwise made no intentions to look as though he was going to fight.

"I can survive without food, I've done it before, but Kyrie her looks as though she hasn't had a good meal in awhile, so I will say that this is her win."

"Very well, Rai will go hungry tonight. And if Kyrie loses, she will also go hungry, if you throw the fight, or I think you throw the fight, she will go hungry tonight."

[Zack Asiv]

Upstairs there would be the sound of some moving around followed by two hard thumps causing dust to fall from above the three in the basement. Before the basement door would open and down would walk RoB Leon with a slice of pizza in hand chewing. Just to watch.

[Raikotsu Sudeki]

Rai looked at Matt eyes nearly slits.

"Whats for dinner tonight?"

[Mathew Amtrum]

"Pizza. Lot's of Pizza. Enough Pizza to feed everyone in the house."

He smiled.

"Never mind then."

Rai got into fighting stance and looked a Kyrie.

"Sorry but if I have to I will kill you for pizza."

Rai's withdrawal was surprising. Mathew's acceptance and the terms weren't. She was already resigned to fight, and as the scent from the approaching Pizza Handler came to waft around the basement, Kyrie's eyes hardened.

The smell hit her like a tonne of bricks, and her stomach rumbled, audibly. She wasn't surprised, nor did she look down.

Definitely no stranger to hunger...though had she had a weaker will, she would have pounced at Leon and stolen the pizza. It was that tempting.

Too bad she wasn't absolutely starving, but she was very, very hungry.

"What a gentleman. Some honour." She sighed sarcastically, but tilted her head and gave him a well come on, then look. If he wanted the pizza so bad, he could make the first move.

Leon had always told Rai, that Sudeki, pizza was everything, and the first time Rai had ever had pizza he knew this to be true, even his trainer got Rai to work harder, fight harder, and stay alive longer just with the promise of Pizza, it was the thought of coming home to pizza that helped Rai survive the Amazon Rain forest, now he wasn't going to let this pizza get the best of him. Rai charged at Kyrie, aiming his right fist toward Kyries face aiming for a hard punch to the face, hoping for this attack to distract Kyrie from his left hand which was aimed right for her stomach.

As Rai rapidly and approached, Kyrie's hands came up as though she might catch his punches; neither fist were ignored, nor was his body. Kiyr shifted slightly, aligning her centre of mass to his before - all at once - she moved her entire body to the right, keeping that line as she moved so her body would be able to move him despite his larger frame and size.

One hand deflecting the right punch with a firm palm to the outside of his forearm, and naturally, his entire body would follow that simple movement. Her spare hand was held in a defensive position that she didn't think she would need as she directed his full force and momentum headfirst into the basement wall--the brick. basement. wall.

The wall that she hadn't moved away from it when she had stood.

Her timing incredibly precise--but she was used to things like this.

Rai's fist was deflected and sent his fist towards the wall, a good deflection though with the wrong implications, as his fist was turned he put the rest of his momentum into the spin to continue spinning on his right foot as he picked up his left foot to slam right into Kyries stomach, which now had the momentum of his entire bodies spin.

The benefits of being short: you didn't have that far to duck.

Given that this was an intense situation and Kiyr had her outside arm in a position to defend, she shifted and crouched down, using her arm to roll Rai's leg off her side - which still hurt, yes, but she endured it - to send it with most of its momentum into the wall after it was rolled off her body.

From her crouched position, she jumped after his leg cleared her body, twisting her body and drop-kicking Raikotsu's remaining leg that was placed on the ground to knock him down around his knee, and using him as a springboard to clear the immediate area with a roll and come up to face him again.

Rai noted how fast she was able to duck out of the way, she still took some of the hit which was good. If she hadn't moved he would be worried that he might have killed her seeing as how the wall was at her back. But the kick he received was a good move dropping him to his knee, and see her jump off of him to gain distance was impressive to say the least. But this wasn't a time to let things distract him, and with Pizza hanging in the balance he wasn't going to take things easy.

"You are pretty good. But lets kick it up a notch shall we?"

He took off his training gear he immediately noticed the difference feeling lighter and stronger he hoped that the fight would end all the quicker now.

'You have got to be kidding.'

Heavy advantage in his favour, but that didn't mean she was done. She darted forwards, but seemed to catch sight of something in the stairwell behind him and stopped a couple feet short of how far his reach was and stared with eyes as round as saucers in disbelief.

"How did you manage to make a pizza that huge?! It's unbelievable!"

As soon as Kyrie made a move towards him he had dropped into his stance and Charged at her, her sudden stop made Rai hesitate for a split second but he wasn't about to let an opportunity like this go to waste. He jumped up and did a spinning kick aimed directly at Kyries waist, just as he heard her say something about a large pizza. He wanted to see, but he knew that if he won this fight now only would he be able to see it but he could eat all of it, even if he had to challenge the Leons for it.
