It had barely been a day since Stella had set foot in California. And as much as she wanted to begin her search for her sister, there were some things she needed to do first, among which was finding some food and some water. Stella had ended up having to dump out a huge chunk of her rations in an attempt at not getting stabbed and had been munching on what little she managed to pick up here and there. Unfortunately it usually only lasted her one meal, so to speak. So here she was again, looking for more! The red head had managed to procure a couple water bottles. Now all she needed was something to munch on. While wandering where ever the heck she was, Stella was tossing a water bottle to herself just to give herself something to do. Her eyes darted from here to there, simultaneously looking for something that might fill her stomach as well as trying to keep an eye out for people in the surrounding area.
What the girl didn't know was that she had wandered into Dragon Territory. She was, after all, new to the area. Heck, all she knew was that she was generally in Long Beach. She had no idea she had wandered into an area filled with people she didn't have a prayer at running from or beating should she have the displeasure of agitating them to that level, but hey, maybe that wouldn't happen!

So Leon was on a random walk through the territory with only one Dragonling to escort, who was holding his helmet. Leon himself had his shades on and enjoyed his stroll. The people where scared a bit, but generally okay with things. Leon was just helping people in an odd job kind of way, bored as he was since sleeping for so long.
His full black power suit. Black pants, black leather jacket, black gloves, black boots, and pads layered in the cloth. He sensed an oddity though. Something had wandered into the territory, and he may not of looked it, but he was headed right for the feeling.
Coming to a halt near by he saw the red haired female...

Stella had been looking off to the side, hoping to find spot something she could start rummaging though. The sound of approaching footsteps, however, alerted the little red head. Casual as the steps sounded, they also had a powerful kind of resonance to them. Stella turned her head towards the sound of said footsteps, which sounded like they had just ground to a halt. What the tiny teen saw was a tall, blonde man. He was very built, the kind that sane people wouldn't think of fucking with. His choice of clothing reminded her of The Terminator. There was also someone with him holding what looked like a helmet, but Stella was much more focused on the figure in black. The girl was frozen in place. She didn't think she should say anything just yet, but she couldn't bring herself to exactly move either. All she did was stand there and blink as the wind whistled lightly as it passed through between them.
Awkward.

Yep, he was deffinitly sensing her. Obviousely stronger than the rabble around, but not... Powerful yet. She had the potential to be powerful. Leon would smile and motion for the guy to stay where he was as he walked forward.
"Hello. I'm Leon Sudeki, whats your name?"

Stella gulped silently as the Terminator-like figure began to approach her. She stayed where she was, though her feet shifted into a position where she might be able to quickly turn and run if need be. Not that it'd do her much good. This guy looked like he could move pretty fast. At least he sounded friendly when he spoke to her.
"I'm Stella. Stella Stalker," the little red head chirped. She smiled at him. That was good. The blonde man didn't seem hostile. Her guard however, was understandably still up. One could never know for sure this early into a conversation.

"Well then, mind if I call you Stella?"
He could tell she was on the defensive and ready to run at the drop of a hat. He'd keep his smile and speak plain.
"You hungry?"

"I wouldn't mind," the red head said, her guard lowering a little more as he spoke to her. Stella blinked a couple of times. As for her being hungry, Stella opened her mouth to respond, only for her stomach to beat her to the punch. A loud growl came from her, causing her to turn a bit pink in the face. "Um... Yes. Yes I am," Stella muttered, glaring at her stomach for speaking out of turn.

Leon would laugh at the rumble of the stomach from the girl, trying to hold back the laugh so she didn't get too embarrassed.
"Well lets see if we can't find something for you. Come on."
He'd lead her back to The Peace Cafe, telling her to sit at the counter. He'd go in back and grab a cold water bottle, an apple, and a two slices of bread. He'd bring it out for her and put them in front of her to eat. Leon would go back and get a bottle for himself.

Stella quietly followed Leon back to a place called The Peace Cafe. She found it a little ironic, given the current state of the city and the fact she was almost mugged and assaulted not that long ago. What surprised her the most though was the condition it was in. It appeared to be in a lot better shape than a lot of the other buildings and places she'd passed by. Weird.
Once she was seated at the counter, Leon set a bottle of water, an apple, and two slices of bread in front of her. More food than she'd ever had per meal for a while. Her eyes widened and, with both hands on the counter, Stella leaned forward and sniffed the food. That just made her hungrier. By the time Leon got back with his bottle, Stella would've drank about the fourth of the water bottle, inhaled both slices of bread, and was chomping at the apple at a pace that made it seemed like she hadn't even stopped to breath in the course of devouring her meal. The crunching sound of her teeth sinking into the piece of fruit was almost as rapid as machine gun fire.

Leon would sit down with a smile and drink from the bottle gingerly.
"You dont have to gobble so fast. Thats not the end of it."
Leon would wait for her to finish, watching simply. He wasn't sure on how to proceed, though he decided on the usual course.
"So, tell me your story. If you dont mind, Stella."

When Leon told her not to 'gobble so fast', Stella's munching screeched to a sudden halt. She went from devour to zero in half a second flat. She looked up at him, blinking with that apple still lodged in her mouth. Stella pulled the apple from her mouth, taking in a deep breath as she swallowed the chunks of fruit. When she exhaled, it sounded like she had been holding her breath since she walked into the cafe. Which wasn't true. She'd just been holding her breath since she started inhaling her food.
"My story?" Stella repeated as she wiped apple juice off of her lips with the sleeve of her sweatshirt. "Sure, I don't mind."
Stella took a gulp of water to keep her throat from getting dry before leaning forward slightly with her elbows on the counter. "I, um... I was living in New York City until the missiles hit," she said. "My life wasn't really that exciting until that point. Most of my entertainment came from doing martial arts with my sister and listening to my cousin tell horror stories about this crazy, whacked up high school he went to in the same city."
Stella paused to take another sip of water before continuing on. "After some time though, my cousin kind of disappeared, and then my older sister went off to college here in California, so I was just with my parents and my younger sister, who I wasn't as close too. Then about a months later, my younger sister went with my parents on some business trip, leaving me alone for the week. That's about when the missiles hit. I was lucky enough to be in a basement while everything in my neighborhood got leveled."
The little red head leaned forward, slumping down on the counter top.
"After I learned what happened, I didn't have much hope of my parents or younger sister surviving. They should've been in the air on a plane at that point, and... Well, avoiding a barrage of missiles in a large passenger craft doesn't really seem possible. So since there wasn't anything left for me in New York and grabbed what I could and trekked all the way over here in hopes of finding my sister. I don't even know if she's alive though. I just have a desperate hope that she is, and I needed some kind of goal to focus on to keep myself from flipping out at the time."
Stella pushed herself off of the counter, taking a deep breath as she sat upright in her chair.
"And... That's about it really. My story, that is. So far."

Leon listened to her story. Catching a small hint at a place he knew of rather well. New York and a horror story like school. 552 no doubt, but he wouldn't have reason to bring that up just yet. Though this cousin of hers intrigued him. That would be relative for another time, the sister was the girls priority.
"How would you presume to go about finding your sister?"
Leon's Dragonling who was holding his helmet would go about his own business filling his water jug and finding a place to sit and watch outside.

Stella exhaled again, making a motor boat-like sound through her lips as she slumped down on the counter top again. She pouted a little.
"In all honesty, I have no idea," the red head said. "I figured I'd start by finding her college first, maybe try to dig up something in whatever files might be left, but after that I have no idea. If she is still around I haven't left out the possibility that she may have left already."
It became pretty apparent that Stella didn't really have any idea what she was doing. Well, true, searching in the last known location of her sister for possible clues wasn't a bad place to start, but this little teen had no other means of tracking her sister unless she had stayed put in whatever dorm or residence she had been living in up until the missiles hit.
Stella just took another bite out of her apple.

Leon nodded seemed as good a plan as one could muster for her age and the condition of things now.
"Well what was the name of the college she went to?"
Leon was curious, though unsure of if he could help or not. He had plans, and small devation as this would be, he didn't know if he could afford he luxury... Unless it proved to be... Useful.

Stella lifted her lead and looked over at Leon.
"She went to California State University," she said.
Was this Leon guy going to help her? She kind of had her doubts. They had just met after all, and she didn't think she had really given him a reason to help her. Still, if there was a chance she could get even the tiniest thing to help her, then she'd take it.
