She would watch him descend a few feet away to reset, noting how long it had taken him to touch down. Her eyes narrowed, but she smiled.
"So. You can fly."
More a statement of fact than a question. She would chuckle and changed back to her original posture and began stepping slowly side ways to both move off his centre line of attack and get within striking range.

Kiyoshi just continued to smile. It wasn't something he'd hidden but it wasn't something he'd advertised either, wouldn't be smart to have Barker find out too soon. However he had a fight to focus on, so when Delilah started to circle he moved in a counter circle atop the roof.

Their little circling would go on for a while, the circles getting tighter and tighter. Finally Delilah would move, her right foot stepping in front of her left as she propelled her feet forward to slide a little ways across the roof to close the distance, lifting her sword in an upwards arch as she did so.
This cut was one of the more difficult ones to counter as it came from below and had the strength of Delilah's spine behind it, but for someone as fast as Kiyoshi it was still possible to avoid. After the rising cut, she would drop her sword back down to her hip to thrust straight out at his midsection.

As Delilah came forward to attack, Kiyoshi slid to his left to avoid the center line of the strike but not entirely. He'd deflect as he stepped, by placing his sword vertically along his side to protect him and guide her sword away from him. Off the deflection, Kiyoshi would twist to strike out with a thrust of his own as Delilah drew back her own sword. He would raise his right arm to give a downward angle to his thrust at the same time.

((OOC: They thrusted at the same time. Giggidy.))
He blocked her upwards cut and she thought she had him...until he pulled back to thrust as well. She was already committed to her action, so there was no point in trying to divert now.
Their blades would scrape along each other, the wood squeaking and splintering as they rubbed. Lightly on her abdomen, Delilah would feel the tip of Kiyoshi's sword sink into her flesh. She would look at where her own sword had stopped about an inch away and sighed. Damn her girl arms.
"Ahhh, ya got me." she would say with a laugh, withdrawing. It hadn't really been a question of who would win, but at least she was aware of his skill level with a sword. It was more than on par with hers at any rate. Plus, he could FLY. She couldn't fly.
But then again, she didn't really want to fly.

Kiyoshi withdraws the weapon before flipping it around to hand the handle to Delilah.
"Not because of skill."

Delilah would accept the handle with a smile and a small bow, looking over the edge of the boken. Yep, she would definitely need to sand it.
"Knowing your own body's limitations is part of the skill. You're taller than I am and as a guy your limbs are naturally longer than mine are. I should have compensated, I didn't, and now I'm dead."
Figuratively.
She would look out at the sun, now almost all the way over the horizon. Above her the sky was beginning to bloom with stars. "...I hope we're ready for what's next."
Not the Crow's as a whole. All of them as individuals.

Kiyoshi stood there for a long moment in thought.
"Barker will have to go through me to destroy us."

"Barker will have to go through me to destroy us."
She would look at him sharply, a frown creasing her brow. She was torn between admiration and worry as she studied him.
"If you die, it might very well be the end of Crows as we know it." she would say firmly."This is why you have an army. If nothing else, you and 'Unfettered' must survive. Otherwise this whole thing crumbles."

"A leader can not lead from behind."
That was all he need to stay on the matter any more.

Delilah wanted to argue more on the issue, believing firmly that without either of the Zeroes all would be lost. But she knew that tone and subsided begrudgingly. She would just have to trust in his judgement.
Delilah would sigh and lower her head slightly. "Then I'll be right up there with you,"
It was her duty as a First and as a Crow to protect the Zeroes. John Strike's words came to mind again and it strengthened her resolve. She would have to be the buffer. For the sake of the Crows.

Kiyoshi just nodded toward Delilah at her resolution. It was her prerogative as a First and he would not deny it so long as she followed orders. He took a deep breath of the sea air before heading off to depart from the roof.
