Vanessa slowly stood up and dusted herself off. Well...things were going to get interesting when Aryn got back.
Speaking of which...
Aryn finally got close enough to see that Leon was actually standing on his own two feet. Relief and frustration, because, really, what the hell kind of state was that, anyway? She dropped the wrist attatched to the limp body a few feet away.
Her eyes flashed to Mathew. And then, after a deep breath...
"Thank you."
Bonus! She didn't yell!
On the other hand...
