Okay, so perhaps this wasn't the 'best' idea she'd had in a while. Okay, aside from blowing up the train, this was probably her most reckless and dumb idea yet. But hey, girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do- and nothing lost meant nothing gained. Including her life or-? Yes, including her life. She never seemed to show emotion towards it anyhow, why start now? Now she wasn't and idiot, she feared death- but again....nothing lost, nothing gained. Plus, a life lived in fear is no life at all.
So up she was going. Or rather...north she was going. Her 'fiance' (Okay, that sound odd even in her mind. Engaged, third time in her life- yet never a bride -YET. What the hell was she doing, she wasn't even sure she believed in the institution of marriage?) had been SOUND asleep- (attempting to drug him might or might not have worked- but either way she'd gotten this far without getting caught). Of course, there was the thought that he could possibly be were she was going. Amtrum, a god. Good lord in heaven did his ego need more boosting?! Yes, apparently it did. Not that she minded, being the 'mortal' wife of a god always worked well in mythology. But Bastille wasn't the sit back and wait at home type. (And she wasn't going into her internal debate about asking her EX-fiance to train her to be a Dragon. She wouldn't ask her current fiance, he had two and she would NOT give him that pleasure- EVER. But giving her ex the pleasure of being her superior sounded pretty wankerish too).
So back to the matter at hand. Bastille, dressed in full gear was entering the territory that she had gathered belonged to....the gods. DID THEY HONESTLY THINK THEMSELVES IMMORTAL? Geez- and she was about to do this too? How was she any better. Part of her internally sighed. This institution was stupid, just like the dragons. THEY WEREN'T ACTUALLY LARGE FLYING REPTILES- well Blaze mayb- no, not going on this rant. What people did to get out of shadows- honestly, and it was just that plain and simple. Hey, now there is the thought- no, Bastille thought the sound of "Shadow lurker" sounded downright dull. Going back on her earlier mental statement,...she gave credit to the gods and dragons for metaphorical names. At least they sounded appeasing.
Dangerous wasn't in Bastille's vocabulary. What was dangerous was simple what was feared. Things were either well thought out and planned or poorly planned and executed OR just plain stupid.
She began to look around- okay, so she did what she set out to do. Get here....now what? Where were the people? .....the gods? Should they show, she was coming up with this plan as she went. Perhaps 6:10am was a tad to early for them?
