From Dragon Slayer to Dragon (Levi/Dragons)

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi watched as Mathew rolled towards him, trying to figure out what he was up to, then his eyes widened as his began to throw the kick.

Capoeira....but different

He charged forward leaning down, letting his kick pass over his shoulder. He then quick wrapped his arms around both of Mathew's legs, continuing to run past, bring his legs over his shoulder then bending down, flipping the dragon over his shoulder and throwing him away. If this was successful, he would jump up and follow Mathew as he flew, sending a fierce punch towards his chest, hopefully smashing him into the ground.

And Mathew's legs would tighten around his neck as he was flipped. His hands coming out to try and brace his fall. Though he still smacked the stone hard, his hands skinning on the pavement. If Levi let go after the fall Mathew would unwrap his legs and try and roll away to get some room to pick himself up.

Levi felt the tightening around his neck as he threw his opponent, once he hit the ground, Levi let go watching him roll away and getting up. He popped his neck as he straightened up, the thrill of a good fight coursing through his body, a smile across his face.

Gotta keep the pressure up

Levi, knowing his disadvantage, decided to press the situation. He leaped high through the air, turning over himself rapidly with his arms out, becoming a spinning windmill and bringing a chop down towards the Dragons collar bone.

"Gah."

The blow to the collar bone struck hard, but his bone did not break. As far as Mathew knew thanks to Barker his bones were unbreakable. At least they never broke after he was experimented on.

As Levi landed Mathew's arm shot out, his hand flat like a spear blade. Attempting to stab Levi right in the throat with his flat hand, pulling back quickly like a snake bite. Following up the attack with a knee towards his right kidney.

His silver eyes widened as his blow was withstood and Mathew launched his throat jab. There was no avoiding it at that speed, he moved his body as much as he could, avoiding a square hit to his throat but still taking most of the blow.

"Hyuk!"

Levi had used all of options reducing the effects of the throat jab as the knee hit home, sinking into his kidney with great force.

"Ahh!"

Levi flew back, managing to land on his feet, though staggering a few steps and clutching his side. There was no permanent damage, but his ability to defend that side would be diminished if it required him to turn his body. Levi squared up to Mathew, taking a horse stance and waiting for his opponent to make the next move.

With Levi flying back from the kidney hit, and Kiyr fairly certain that that should be enough, Kiyr stepped forwards, her fist shooting into the air.

"Enough!"

She had no doubt that Mathew would stop, so her eyes were fixed on Levi, as this was his fight.

The blonde stepped forwards, feeling small in comparison to Mathew, but not quite so much by Levi. Despite the glint to her eyes, she didn't smile, though she enjoyed watching that fight. She continued towards Levi, stopping just a step or two away, looking up slightly.

"Are you willing to live as a warrior for the rest of your life? To fight, to bleed?"

With Kiyr's words Mathew stopped and moved back in to the crowd. As if he was any other Dragon there. Not an Elder, not a named. But a Brother. He waited and watched what happened next.

Levi stood up straight and relaxed a bit, his side throbbing and his neck a little worse for wear. He wore a calm expression as he answered, staring the woman in front of him in the eyes.

"Yes, I am."

[Kyrie Blaze]

Kyrie measured him silently as he answered, then responded: "Then I will add my strength to yours and honour you as a brother."

There was no cheering from the gathered crowd, no comments. Just a quiet hush. This never changed, no matter the end of the induction. It was simply their duty: to fight, to bleed. Her fist shot up in a hard punch for Levi's face, then moved her fist over her heart with a small bow.

The rest of the crowd made the same motion, then began to disperse.

"Welcome to the Dragons." She intoned quietly, then turned to disperse with her brethren.

Mathew saluted Levi with a fist to his heart. A small bow of his head before he stepped forward. Pulling a sash out of his pocket for Levi to take.

"Welcome Brother. It was an honor."

Levi saw the punch coming, unsurprised as this was not unlike Yakuza initiation. He winced as his head snapped to the left then facing forward again. He nodded with a smile as he was accepted.

Never thought I would have to do that twice.

Levi took the sash and smiled at Mathew.

"Thanks, you too. I hope to fight with you again."

"Any time you wish Brother."

He said with a warm smile. Extending a hand for a shake. They were family now. By blood.

Levi nodded with a smile shaking his new brothers hand and walking away with him, wondering what the future held for him.

Rai welcomed his new brother in the same fashion as the rest of the Dragons and headed towards Levi and Mathew instead of leaving with the rest of the Dragons.

"You fought well brother, I come to welcome you personally. My name is Rai and though it looks like you are stronger than me I am at your service should you ever require it, and should my Master permit it.

He said the last part looking at Mathew to assure him he had no intentions of ever going behind his back.

Rai put his fist to his chest again and lowered his head slightly.

"Can't wait to fight beside you on the battle field brother."

And if Levi didn't engage Rai in further conversation he would walk off.
