Jackson was lounging around the Peace Tea Cafe. He was waiting for his Super-Manly cocoa to get done. He looked at his watch. Then remembered he didn't have one.
He finally got his cocoa, and sat down sipped it, then recoiled from the burning hotness of it. Moving over towards the counter, he hummed Still Counting by Volbeat.

David entered the peace cafe, glancing around a moment or two before walking over to the counter and clearing his throat.
"Bagel with cream cheese."
The man behind the counter started making it, toasting it to perfection for the Storm Dragon. David turned and looked at the man who was wincing at his cocoa in pain. Burned, maybe? David turned back, taking his bagel over to a table int the corner and biting into it, using a napkin to keep food from the corners of his lips.

Jackson noted the man who entered. Mentally checking him for any obvious weaponry, he recognized him as the Storm Dragon, and heard the counterman mumble his name, but hadn't actually met him until now.
Jackson remained passive, sipping carefully at his cocoa. His previous burn had gone away and been replaced by feelings of warmth from the cocoa. Jackson finished his mug, then walked over towards the Dragon, and in front of his table, "Mind if I join you?" he asked. He motioned for the man at the counter to bring him the same thing David was eating.

David looked up into the eyes of the young Dragon, then back down at the chair he asked to sit in.
"Go for it."

Jackson took his seat and received his bagel shortly thereafter. He took a bite, and thought for a bit. Glancing at the elder Dragon he made as if to speak, then closed his mouth, and continued eating in silence.
Once finished, Jackson got up, volunteered to take Blaze's trash and moved towards the disposal center. He returned to the table and sat, hands intertwined, staring at the man in front of him.
Jackson made as if to speak once more, and found his voice this time. He cleared his throat, and asked him, "So, sir, are you the one to carry out my training?" Jackson was nervous. Noticeably so, and being in a room with the Eldest Dragon did nothing to ease that.

David was brought a rootbeer float by the man at the same time Jackson got his bagel. He took a sip, and watched as the guy cleaned up after them. He started to take another drink as Jackson would pose his query.
He paused mid-drink before setting it down slowly. He wiped the ice-cream mustache from his lip. He stared at him for a moment longer.
"Possibly."
He took another long drink.
"What is your name and goal?"

Jackson met the man's gaze, and answered his question, "My names Jackson. I'm aiming to be a Dragon. Hopefully along the lines of Sudeki, or Amtrum,"

He stared.
"I understand that. But why do you think I should take you on? What makes you better than any other average joe?"

"I'm not better than the average joe. Not yet." Jackson admitted. "But fight me, see if I have what it takes to earn the apprenticeship of the Dragons." Jackson wanted to prove himself to this man.

David cocked an eyebrow.
Interesting.
Most, when asked that question, posed a response listing their qualifications, and that kind of smarmy attitude pissed him off. Anyone who thought themselves ready to be a Dragon, would be one. Otherwise, you weren't one. He smiled calmly.
"Not sure if you're familiar with me. I'm not one who depends on strength to determine the Dragon. I can tell, just by watching you walk over here, you're not ready to be one. Not even close. But..."
He took another drink.
"You might have the right attitude and mentality to start."
He would stand and leave the drink, gesturing for Jackson to follow him out the door.

Jackson followed him outside, thinking on what he'd said. He blinked in the bright light, for a second, then his eyes gradually adjusted.

David turned, as they reached the square, and threw a punch for the mans chin. If it landed and leveled him, David would speak again.
"As I said, I don't care about strength. But Lets test your potential, anyway."

Jackson attempted to deflect the punch but was a second too slow, and it grazed him, from the temple to just behind his ear. He immediately dropped, and swung his legs around in a vicious kick aimed for Blaze's legs. If he could knock him down, he'd be on him in an instant, with his legs pinning his arms down and his arms free to rain down some punches.

David laughed as the man immediately retaliated.
Good. He had a fighters spirit. Brownie points there.
As Jackson kicked, David would move to grab the mans leg and swing him like a bat into the side of the wall, releasing him after.
"Interrupting is rude."

Jackson caught the wall with an arm, and braced against it, pushed back and met David's gaze. He bowed slightly, then settled into a ready stance, his arm was gashed from where he'd hit the wall. If he was in pain, (which he totally was) he didn't show it.
