Stalking as quietly as she could through...her own territory, Delilah moved through the shadows towards the Wolf-pack's base in the military controlled zone. Her Tengu weren't with her here. She figured the fewer feet there were on the ground, the less of a chance she had at being discovered.
It had already taken her twenty minutes to tip-toe around the booby-traps she had helped make while sticking to the least obvious route. Really, this was completely unnecessary: she was a First Crow and she could go where she pleased. But she wanted to see if she could sneak into an area such as this undetected and back out again. The booby-traps were one thing: Marcus and Silk were quite another.
But she had decided against breaking into the main part of the compound, lest she set off a few alarms and cause too many questions to be asked. The garage would more than suffice, and besides, she needed to work a bit of her magic in addition to the gift she had made for him.
Slipping inside through the window with the busted latch on the far end, she would set up her little spray painted feather "pine" tree on the worktable before heading to the all too familiar shape of Lady, slumbering beneath her tarp. Delilah lifted the corner and took a peak at the softail.
"'Allo, poppet." she purred, lifting the blanket away. "Sorry to wake you at this ungodly hour. But I'm here to give you a surprise makeover."
Covered in grease as the dawn approached, Delilah left the garage of the Wolf-pack's little den as silently as she could. She was drowsy as hell, having been up all night delivering freaking presents all over Long Beach and planning on being up all throughout the day. In spite of this and her subsequent crankiness, she felt immensely satisfied at the work she had accomplished this time around. If she lived through the next year...maybe she could make it even better this time around.
Glancing back over her shoulder at the compound, she smiled to herself. "Merry Christmas, Marcus."
