Sider motions towards the table that lucien was sitting at.

looking at Rai. "Let's get down to business,"

[Zack Asiv]

Zack follows the others to the table, but keeps an eye on Rai the whole time as he smokes the cig.

"I suspect you want to... Discuss aiding mister WarHazzord here with his ailment?"

Specifically pronouncing the last name wrong.

[Raikotsu Sudeki]

Rai looked Asiv in the eye giving a slight nod while smoking that anyone else looking would have just saw as him readjusting his neck.

"Yes. My uncle said that you were probably the only person that could be of any help to us. Can you help him fix his Qi?"

[Lucien DeChain]

Lucien, glad that the others followed him to the table. Once they were seated, the barkeep would come over between their conversation, as to not overhear or interrupt anything.

After hearing mention of Sider's last name for the first time, Lucien made a mental note of it. WarHazzord? That seemed wrong, but Lucien didn't judge.

"Let's get some drinks, then. For me, a single shot of vodka in a wide glass, neat. How about you?" He motioned to the others. He tried to direct it at everyone, since, well, Mr. Asiv was a very powerful guest in Crow territory, Raikotsu was a Dragon, and the rest were his guests.

Once the barkeep left, Lucien would wait a moment for him to be out of earshot before he would ask quite bluntly, "What is Qi, anyways? I've heard of it, and seen people use special powers, but I don't really understand it."

[Raikotsu Sudeki]

Rai turned to Lucien he had forgotten that the man didn't use it. Rai looked at Lucien and held out his hand a little bit of his black blood would come out and form a small spiraling ball in his hand.

"Qi is your inner energy, some refer to it as your 'life force'. It is the energy in our body that makes us who we are. Now people that use Qi powers, like this, have undergone special training to learn how to access that living energy in our body at will and can use it to do special things. Everyones Qi ability is different such as the fact that I can manipulate my blood and my uncle has control of electricity. Everyone has the ability to access their Qi though most don't realize it even exist and so they don't ever learn how to access it."

The entire time he was talking the ball just sat there and spiraled in his hand become a mini cyclone before altering it to look like a small crow and setting it down in front of Lucien it hardened in that position as soon as Rai stopped touching it.

"But like anything else Qi has its limits. I stop being able to manipulate that blood as soon as it leaves me. Most people can only affect the Qi that they themselves are in physical contact with. I've never heard of anyone being able to control or manipulate something outside of their personal body. Also it is really tiring if you are unused to it."

Rai took a drag off of his cig and blew out the sweet smoke. Before pointing at the crow infront of Lucien.

"Merry Christmas. A little late but we've been busy so here ya are."

[Zack Asiv]

Zack listened to Rai's explanation and nodded along.

"There are any number of unique abilities to learn about. Its not particularly my field of study that's more Leon's thing. I work in vegetation and natural healing properties and the like. I'm a Botanist."

Asiv would finish his explanation on that.

"Though Leon is correct when he says he can not cure the Qi problem that the experimentation Barker does. He doesn't understand these artificial abilities he gives people are not making them stronger. I can try to fix what Barker has done to you, but even after I don't have a way to unlock your Qi. I can simply teach you, as I did when the school was still around."

Zack would finish off the cig he had and put it out in the trey on the table.

[Lucien DeChain]

Staring marvelously at the blood-crow, he thought that his fellow Crows would find this a very nice representation. He thanked Raikotsu for the gift.

Lucien nodded along as the new information was given to him. Some of it had been explained in passing by Delilah, but most of it was new. He was glad he was trusted with such information, but he still had some questions.

"So... Say someone has a Qi they don't know about. How would they go about.. 'Activating' it? What kind of training is involved?" Lucien would ask, trying not to draw the conversation too far away from Sider, who was the real reason they were there in the first place. For good measure, he added, "And how would the experimentation be reversed?"

[Zack Asiv]

"Qi can be harnessed through a form of self preservation. For people like me, Leon and so on where pitted into horrible battles with our lives on the line daily. Even though he has used my botany research to bring it to the edge of the surface, you still have to go through extreme mental and physical exercise to be able to use it to its true ability."

Zack moves on to the second part though.

"Barker's research works on enhancements and alterations. His drugs and methods deal in artificially recreating that which he doesn't understand fully. Which is why he has to expirament constantly to get the data he wants so as to force your spirit and body into understanding this foreign ability.

I will have to focus my natural fruits, vegetables, seeds that I have been using in my own research to help your body fight the changes on its own. It will require time, even retraining in some aspects. But one thing is for sure. The more you use the expiramentations, the less your body will be able to return to normal, and the more you damage your spirit."

[Malcomb Warhazzard]

that's not good... Sider had been using his powers at a moderate rate, but with this new piece of information he could not possibly use them again.

"Mmmm, interesting..." Sider said while looking at his hands, specifically the center of the palm where the fire initiates. "So how much meditation and magic fruit juice will this take to completely fix?"

[Yachiru]

Yachiru looked down at what Rai-Rai had handed to lucien, it was a very interesting little bird, well crafted, and yet so very small.

"Birdy!" Yachiru finally spoke. "Does it have a name Lu-Lu?" She asked looking directly at Lucien.

[Lucien DeChain]

Lucien apparently hadn't noticed that there was a small, pink smiling thing there with them. He looked at her, took a second to ponder on a few things, and replied with a perfectly straight face, "No. It doesn't have a name. And my name is Lucien. If you need a nickname for me, you can call me Luc or Luca."

He turned back and internally sighed. Kids... It's not that he hated kids, or even generally disliked them. But kids seemed more prone than any to mess up his whole brain. Having Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder was not the healthiest thing to deal with.

[Raikotsu Sudeki]

Rai took a moment away from the serious conversation to look at Yachiru.

"Yachiru, please be nice, Lucien is a good friend of mine remember?"

He turned his attention back to Lucien.

"Why don't you name it? It would do well to call it something I'm sure."

[Lucien DeChain]

Man, this was completely screwing up Lucien's internal file cabinet. Giving a name to a blood-bird? At least it wasn't completely inanimate. I mean, it was made with Raikotsu's blood...

He sighed, and said. "Okay. It's name is... Hiicho."

Lucien was really bad at naming things, and with his desire to get back to the discussion, he chose something at random that represented the bird.

[Yachiru]

"Mmmm maybe Luca-Luca, and sure the birdy's name is fine"

Yachiru shined a bright smile upun Luca-Luca.

Rai smiled.

"A fine name indeed."

But he, liked Lucien was ready to return to the more serious business and turned to look at Asiv to listen to his answer.
