Kyrie's gaze flickered up to David as he issued his orders. A hand flicked out, the tips of her fingers just skimming across his upper arm as she turned. It was concern, but confidence and trust as well. She knew David was going to be okay. Though she had never gotten to see the full extent of his capabilities, she was also confident in Kazuya. The two would be fine.
The blonde had her orders, and though it was not upon the 'front lines', she acquiesced and tore herself a path to join ranks with Delilah. Protection of life by being with the group was very much important. And her trust in battle was complete.
Once she gained the First Crow's side, she managed a brief shimmer of a smile before serenity reigned once again and she twisted to be able to move with the group while still being able to see the battle at the group's backs. Her gaze sharpened, intent.

"Got it."
Stopping and turning around too at David's order, facing the creatures with no fear, no hesitation, it was clear to Kazuya why David gave such an order. These creatures were powerful, and simply too fast for any of their men to outrun. The creatures would catch up with them easily, and wipe their men out instantaneously.
And that was something Kazuya would not allow to happen... To Kiyr, to Olesya, and most especially... To Delilah.
Grinning wickedly back at David, Kazuya would bump his fist against David's, his eyes trained on the creatures as they blasted through the fiery sonicboom of crushed flaming cars with barely any effort on their part.
"I've been waiting for this."
While David trained his sights on one of the creatures, using his Qi to "see" the heat signature of the creature, he would face the other head on as it made a direct beeline for him, roaring menacingly at him. Engulfing his entire body in flames, he would take off at the O.G.R.E. and meet it head-on, firing a blast of fire from his left hand with a resounding boom at the creature's metal right arm, to try and melt the entire thing into a useless blob. He would then pull his right arm back the moment he was close enough and launch a simple jab, aiming for the creature's midsection, to try and hit it, his jab at full power, his left hand kept nearby.

David registered Kiyrs hand, giving her a glance and half smile before Kazuya had approached.
TO THE FIGHT Davids fist, like iron, drove into the midsection of the beast without effort or resistance. He felt the body crumple, but as the beast appeared unfazed, he turned his mind away from thoughts of friends and family, of his warriors, of his duty, and gave himself to the fight. His brain drove at ninety miles an hour-
'Doesn't try to defend or fight as a standard enemy. No attempts to block or avoid damage. Runs like a steamroller attacks like a rhino. Initial assessment- strong, able to take a hit possibly due to lack of pain receptors. Target weaknesses- slow, stupid, and limitations of physical form. Tear its body apart, til it cant fight.'
Despite the time it takes an author or a reader to display or register this process, Davids thoughts would happen in fractions of seconds, his form moving in tandem with his mind and born of experience in combat. As the claw came down from his top left, David would duck and spin counter-clockwise on his left foot, having brought his right hand back down to the sword hilt sticking up over his right shoulder. The claw that was supposed to grab his head would now be right in front of him. His left hand would come up and grab the cool metal roughly, and drawing his blade in a swift motion, he would bring it down in an attempt to cut off the beasts "hand" a few inches higher than where the metal connected, Davids movements a blur. Then he would roll forward with his prize in hand to avoid a grip or retaliation from behind.
It would be possible for most to avoid the strike, but he was counting on his previous assessment that the beast was slow, stupid and probably uncaring about pain or damage. He would stand with prize in hand, back to the monster, and wait, some form of blood or liquid probably dripping from his blade.

Olesya clenched her jaw as David barked orders before running off with Kazuya to face down the O.G.R.E.S. She knew what he was doing, and she certainly hoped he did. Most anybody else it'd be suicide, those monstrosities were gargantuan and gaining fast. But David could handle them...David had to handle them...
Command. Right.
"No man is to be left behind, I was two- and three-man carries! Causalties to the middle, flank with able-bodied men on each side. Move move move!"
Two men near her adopted the four hand seat carry, taking the injured soldier from Olesya's shoulder's a moving to the middle of the group. A couple others adopted the modified fore-and-aft carry for better speed with the unconscious soldiers.
Olesya's eyes shot to the blonde girl covering the back with Delilah, making sure they were okay. She'd fall back if she needed to as well, but her job was to make sure the entire formation continued to move without a hitch.
Jesus, David, I hope you know what you're doing...
[ooc: Without the wounded soldier, Olesya's stats are back to normal.]

Delilah has forfeit her post this round. As such I will continue.
Kyrie, Olesya, Delilah, are on their way out of the area.
David's sword would slice through the beasts arm with ease, and as he rolled away the beast would roar in what could only be assumed as pain, spinning around to face David and running towards him, hoping to plow right into him and slam him down into the ground.
Kazuya's metal melting heat would start to affect the alloys grafted into the O.G.R.E.'s "arm", the metal sinking into itself and bubbling like a melting piece of ice. By the time Kazuya was close enough to strike, the arm was half melted and starting to cool, but the intense heat radiating from the man's body would be enough to keep the metal at a melting temperature. As he slammed his jab into the monster's midsection the creature would bend and groan from impact, trying to raise his arms to encapture Kazuya in a bear-hug.

As the creature went to raise his arms to entrap Kazuya in a bear hug, Kazuya would quickly duck down while retracting his right arm back as a pair of fire katanas would materialize in both hands, and with two almighty upwards swings, one swing after the other in a cross shape of sorts, would attempt to slice through the creature's arms right at the elbows. If he was successful in lopping off both of the creature's forearms, while the creature was hopefully in the throes of pain, combining his twin fire katanas together, forming one long bladed fire katana, he would raise his katana above his head, bringing it down in a powerful vertical slash and attempt to vertically bisect the creature in half.

With the group skimming the far reaches of the area and most likely off to safety, Kyrie scanned the field of battle. David and Kazuya had engaged the monstrosities. Her calm confidence in David did not waver, but caution was always warranted. She kept pace with Delilah at the rear.
And inquired upon a soft exhale: "David, we have reached the fringes of the area. Shadow One to return to the storm?"

Delilah nodded at Kyrie as she tapped into David's frequency. She knew that he knew she was with Kyrie; if he wanted them to return, then they would do so.

David would spin, counter clockwise, waiting until the last possible instant, just before the beast hit him. As he spun he would crouch and shove upward, the monsters claw still in his hands- with the added force of the monster running and his own strength, the claw would hopefully puncture clean through the meat and bone, tearing into the organs. Still, the force could not simply be canceled, so he would be forced to roll backward with the beast, using his legs to kick in an attempt to send the hopefully dead monster flying into a building.
He'd roll to his feet and turn to Kazuya.
"Pick the pace up- time to go Kaz."
If everything went according to plan, David would shortly be running with Kaz to catch up, right after Kiyr sent her message.
"We will be with you guys shortly- beasts are dead.
Hopefully they would get out before reinforcements from Barker came.
OOC: Didn't realize it was my post. Apologies.

Kazuya would succeed in cutting the O.G.R.E. in half, and it would fall to pieces while showering him in a reddish-black substance that could only be assumed as blood.
David's maneuver would work, sending the O.G.R.E. flying into a building, its own severed arm sticking out of its chest, right where a heart ought to be.
Ought to be.
Shaking himself loose from the crumbling wall, the O.G.R.E. pulled the metal limb from his chest. He soon found that his target was running away, and made chase to catch them. A giant hole in his chest cavity exposed an empty cavity.

As he managed to successfully vertically bisect the creature and half and was showered in a reddish-black substance he could only assume was its blood, he would engulf his entire body in fire, raising the temperature of the fire to the hottest and highest he possibly could, hopefully burning the substance to nothingness.
Turning to David, he would give a slight silent nod of his head and separating the one katana he had in his hands back into twin katanas in each hand, would take off with David, only to feel the ground shake from behind him. Turning his head slightly to look over his shoulder, his eyes would narrow to just slits at the sight of the creature chasing after them... with the giant hole in its chest exposing an empty cavity.
"... Persistent isn't it? Time for lights out for this one. Pincer formation, I take right, you take left?"

David stopped, turning as the beast chased after him. He scowled. Shaking his head no at Kazuyas question, David stood, sword in his right hand, left side facing the monster. He brought his arm up, had up, palm toward his enemy- as though he was ordering him to stop, except his fingers were relaxed, as though waiting.
Once any part of that monsters body rammed into his hand- whether he had to dodge a strike and move inward to touch him, or if the mindless beast was just planning on running him over- once David touched him, a torrent of wind* would erupt from his arm in a circular motion- a tornado, mini-sized by comparrison. It would spin the beast around, aiming to rip it apart, tearing off arms, legs, its head- everything.
If it worked, and the demon was left as a pile of mulch, David would lower his surprisingly clean hand and tsk.
"Poor creature."
He would turn to Kaz.
"Lets get out of here."
OOC:
* (Level 6 Ability) - Arm of Storms: This ability pulls wind and air across Davids body, wrapping around his arm and hugging close to his skin. It's tightly wound, like a spring, and therefore takes extreme concentration and precision to use as it could flay his own arm. Once activated through contact, the air snaps back like a spring, creating a funnel of air similar to a tornado. Inside this funnel are hundreds of spikes, which tear the tarkets body literally apart. Due to the nature and volatility of this attack, it can not be used against PC's, and may only be used once per OOC Week.

(OOC: Thanks all for your patience. This thread was very fun to GM and try out a few new things I've been experimenting with. I hope you all enjoyed it)
As the O.G.R.E. ran in to bullrush David, he roared, eager to tear flesh from bone.
That is, he was, until he touched David's hand.
The resulting wreckage of metal, meat and marrow fell from the sky like it was literally raining men. Shredded, ground men.
The exit the area just as the reinforcements arrive. As fifty Barker soldiers arrive at the abandoned containers, they would look around and see.. well, they had obviously missed the battle. A shaggy man stepped forward, with a long scraggly beard and a brown trenchcoat hanging off his subtle frame. The soldiers around him mumbled.
"Sir, there doesn't seem to be anyone here."
The man nodded. "I can see that. We've missed our opportunity. Head back to base, stay alert."
He turned, leading the group back to the facility.

Falling back immediately the moment David shook his head, he would watch the creature carefully as David brought his arm up, palm facing the creature, as it ran to bull rush David, roaring away, the moment it touched David's hand, it would be ripped to shreds, the sky raining down pieces of dead corpses.
"... Right behind you... I think I'll start calling you The Meat Grinder from now on David."
Kazuya would mutter, shaking his head and looking at the pile of mulch that used to be the creature, before turning and taking off after David at full speed, to catch up with the others, getting the hell out of there.
