"Yeah I remember Leon Sensei saying that Qi was a manifestation of ones own Personality. I just never imagined mine to be so.....explosive." He replied with an easily laugh. Pleased to all hell with Delilahs approval.
"Alot of kinks I haven't quite worked out though so it's nowhere near combat ready unless I want to be a re-usable suicide bomber."
Which was true. Marcus had to brace himself with each strike or else be knocked around by his own back blast even though he could not actualy be harmed by it This was a complete anathema to Marcus' fighting style which relied on being fast, loose and springy. Having to brace with each explosive strike left him FAR too open and vulnerable to be viable just yet.
No. He would have to work on this one just alittle bit more.
"Still, I mean who else do you know have Rocket Propelled Grenade fists? That's almost too much for a guy to handle ya know?"
Making his way back to Delilah, Marcus would suddenly look the young woman over with a tilt to his head. "Hey Lilah? Ever heard of Gamble Fruit?"

She cracked a mischevious grin at the last bit of his question. "Maybe~."

The man would simply nod, seemingly satisfied with that answer. "Just checking. Hey I'm pretty much done here, so lemme know when you want me to take you back, huh."
Back to the beach he would go, forming another shadow orb in his palm and playing with, passing the destructive shadow ball between his hands like a baseball before sending it out into the water with a flick of his wrist. Looking to all the world like a small child with a new toy.
So she DID know then. Mabey she had partaken as well and if so, did Leon give her the fruit or did she aquire it through other means? How many fruits existed then? And why did he not suffer any adverse effects like Leon had? It didn't make him blind, quite the contrary he found to his delight that he could see in the dark as clear as day. What about Del? Was she as lucky if she had eaten the fruit?
So many questions, but Marcus could afford to be patient for a change. If the young mechanic wanted to play games then she was going to learn how much he did too.

She coughed softly, holding up the paper for him to sign. Needed that signature first~.
"I ate it. Two physical attacks don't hurt me and electricity hurts less, but Qi hurts more." she shrugged. Not as bad as Leon, anyway. She would shake her head at his offer to take her back to the base.
"Nah, think I'll walk. Its been a couple days since I've been outside. But thank you for taking me out here; I needed the air. And the company certainly didn't hurt either." She smiled.

"Remind me to warn you whenever I decide to boom then." Marcus said with a note of concern as he scratched the back of his head. Last thing he needed was to accidentally Kill Del with even a low level explosion. Besides, he hadn't quite figured out how to properly gauge his booms quite yet anyway. Well, looks like her name was gonna have to be crossed off the list of people he wanted to go Qi on Qi with.
Damn shame.
Marcus nodded his head when she held up the pa-
Wait a minute.....Didn't he have them in his pocket?!?!?!? For a moment Marcus patted his coat pockets and looked back up at Del with a sheepish grimace and a nervous laugh. Wicked tricksy little ninja girl! She must have pick pocketed him earlier. With a defeated sigh he would take the papers and sign his name.
Nah, think I'll walk. Its been a couple days since I've been outside. But thank you for taking me out here; I needed the air. And the company certainly didn't hurt either."
Marcus smiled right along with her. It was hard not to want to. Just as it was hard not to get stuck staring into her baby blues...... Yeah kind of like now actually. He felt his heart begin to...what? Flutter? Too high school. It certainly did feel.....
Warmer.
He wanted to put his forehead through a tree. She WAS a hard woman to get over.
"Always a pleasure Lilah." He said with a roguish grin. "Just gimme a call if you ever wanna do this again, huh?."

Delilah nodded at him with a small sigh, the heat of his honey brown eyes warming her face. "Will do. You take care, Marcus."
She would face forward, watching the sea and the sunset, one hand idly tracing over the lines in the mask he had given her, resting in her lap.
A soft, wistful sigh escaped the mechanic and, for the first time in what felt like ages, she closed her eyes. Basking in the fading light of the sun.
