Dragon Quest (Leon)

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi sat in his dueling piano bar in a chair at front center stage, the high noon pouring in through the windows, illumunating the recently cleaned bar. His face was deep with feeling as he played one of his favorite nocturnes, swaying from to side with each stroke of his recently acquired bow, putting his emotion into each note and his mind a mixture of colors and feelings which he poured into his instrument as the bar was filled with music. Nothing could replace this feelijng for Levi, it was his one true release from the shitstorm the outside world could be at times.

A Single soldier from Leon's Squad one would be there waiting for Levi to allow him entry. He was a scout, messenger, runner, assassin. Whatever you wished to call him. Though as these squads where trained by Leon they where understanding of the supernatural, in their own ways. The assassin family Leon employed simply knew they where unable to sneak up on Knight Commander Levi no matter what they tried.

Levi finished his playing his piece and slowly stood up after letting out a long, satisfied breath. It had been a while since he had last truly practiced and the indulgence was food for his soul. His eyes remained on his instrument as he spoke to the man he recognized as one of Leon's messengers who had been patiently waiting outside.

"Come in."

He loosened his bow and slowly walked to his cello case and set the cello and bow inside it, latching it shut. His form turned to the man who had now entered, he met the man in front of the small stage with a slightly expectant and inquisitive look as he wondered what his master had sent the man for.

In would walk the young man and drop to a knee in front of Levi.

"Knight Commander, I bring a message from The Lightning Dragon."

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi nodded as he had already anticipated the messenger's purpose, this was merely confirmation.

"Of course, what is the message?"

[Mr. Kaar]

"You are to find two people to take into your employ as personal Captains, and thirteen soldiers to add to the army."

Sai would nod at the end placing his right hand to the ground to signify the end of the message.

Levi nodded as he gestured to lead the man out. As they exited the building, Levi shut the door behind him and nodded to the messenger with a dismissing gesture.

"Thank you, tell the lightning dragon "message received." That is all."

Levi then closed his eyes to concentrate as his senses scoped the city for large collections of dragon ki signatures, prefereably ones that registered uniquely or higher than your common soldier. This task was not unexpected and Levi had scoped out some potential prospects, but he wanted to see what he could find in hopes that maybe he would find more prospects.

There was a few groupings of signatures near by, but one on the edge of the territory near the airport, a singular signature that read above average seemingly out in the waters of the ocean.

The closest group however also had two signatures that where above average. The rest are scattered groups either patrolling or guarding.

Levi took note of each signature and headed towards the group with the two unique signatures at high speed, making a personal note to investigate the signature in the water. His priority right now was to find his 13 "scrubs." He wouldn't take just anybody, but it was far less important to be picky about his general soldiers as they could be trained to a degree, but the captains represented Levi himself and he would be sure to take his time in deciding who would hold those positions. As he neared the group of Dragons, he slowled to a casual walk and gave a casual wave to one of the significant ki signatures.

The one he waves too has dark blue hair is rather stern in body language, but a simple is unreal smile on his face, he returns the wave, the other is near by sitting on a stool, hair so black it melted into the darkness, eyes so bright green a thief might steal and pawn them for money. He simply sat and watched. Seemingly like some street punk, not trying to hide the fact he was watching.

Levi instantly noticed that his dragontongue went uninterpereted as these were merely civillians, though it wasn't like he had said anything that would require a verbal response. They clearly had no idea who he was because and introductions were in order. He gave the Dragon salute and stopped in front of the group.

"Levi Kayamei, Mirage Dragon, Knight Commander of the Lightning Dragon and Dragon Commander. May I know who you are?"

[Mr. Kaar]

"Quite the spiffy bit o' titles ya' got there. I'm Shane, I wandered on down 'ere from up North for safety on the word of a few travelers, hadn't expected ta' meet 'ny of ya Dragons as they call ya. Let alone some 'en with an important title like yers. Wha' can I do for ya."

The guy spoke with a smile and attempted to return the greeting he was given.

Levi listened as Shane introduced himself. A common story that was certainly not unique among people living in Dragon territory. Civillians often sought refuge in their their territory as it was by far the biggest and the Dragons were, for the most part, the strongest group in the region. He nodded in response with a small smile.

"Nice to meet you..."

His steel eyes shifted to the silent one leaning against the wall.

"And who might you be?"

He would wait a few moments and if it seemed like the silent one would not answer he would speak to Shane.

"He doesn't talk much does he?...well I have an offer to extend from the Lightning Dragons if you're interested in not having to worry about food, shelter and protection...."

[Mr. Kaar]

The guy sitting near by would simply smile and grunt before speaking.

"Dont care."

Literally he didn't care what people called him. Though Shane did however answer.

"'E has his ways. Though 'm sure I be gettin' the picture 'ere. What kind o' business we be doin' fer ya?"

[Levi Kayamei]

Levi was glad to see that at least one of the higher signatures was sociable. Levi spoke matter of factly to relay the importance of the opportunity he was offering.

"You would be serving directly under me within the Dragons. This means that while you would have a rank and status under me, you would have authority within our territories, which are quite large. The big perk: food, shelter and protection, something you are certainly NOT guaranteed now."

Levi paused as he evaluated how his "sales pitch" was going over. He wasn't going to sugar coat it, but he felt little need to as a position in the dragons at all was better than no status at all.

"The goal of the Dragons is to ultimately defeat barker so that civilization can begin to truly rebuild, although we have accomplished some rebuilding already."

Levi smiled before finishing.

"...and the last perk....you will have the ability to harness your potential..." Levi gestured towards the punk and the man in front of him."...particularly you two, who seem to have quite a bit of potential......the only thing we ask in return in is your loyalty and your life should it ever be needed."
