Wanderer's Steps | Dion/Open

[Mitsuki Park]

Hm? Did Mitsuki cause the playboy of all playboys to stutter...? Heh. She dismissed that thought; in her current state, she did not think so highly of herself. Actually...she never really did.

Zeus, Ra, Odin, and Pegasus. She only knew one, but the last time she had encountered him, he was trying to kill her by exacting revenge.

"Do I need to worry about Zeus?" she asked, adding on, "...or any of the other head gods?"

[Mr. Kaar]

Dionysus would think a bit before answering.

"In truth, no. Maybe Zeus if you don't play your cards right, but everyone is really focused on Barker."

[Mitsuki Park]

"...is there a universal plan against Barker?"

Because surely the gods didn't think they can defeat them on their own.

[Mr. Kaar]

Dionysus frowned.

"Things are still very iffy. We have truces with The Dragons and The Crows, but its going to take much more to bring him down. For now, survival is top priority. Defeating Barker as Athena says is the long term goal."

[Mitsuki Park]

She slowly nodded her head.

"...ever think about truces with factions outside of California?"

[Leon]

Dionysus would look out the window and into the vast sky more than the land.

"... All the time."

[Mitsuki Park]

"...do you know of any of the factions outside of California?"

[Mr. Kaar]

"I have been researching some, but contact has been near impossible."

[Mitsuki Park]

She figured because of the busyness in California, he- personally- might not have had the chance to leave the state. Her eyes stared at the man who once was so...lax, happy-go-lucky, cheerful. To see him in such a somber and solemn mood was certainly a drastic change. But. Like with everyone, not unwarranted.

"Have you sent people out?"

Regardless of if he has or hasn't...

"...then perhaps I could be of some use."

Quiet. But her eyes would flicker to meet his- she was a wanderer, always disappearing and reappearing in her own right. Maybe it was time to redeem this little quality of hers? She travelled from Chicago to California with only a couple scratches, after all.

She was not asking for his permission...but rather, she was asking for his opinion.

[Leon]

Dion turned his head to look at her and would shake his head slowly. Answering her question, then when she spoke next he wasn't sure if he heard right, but knew what she meant.

"It would be of great help, princess... Though I would prefer to accompany you if at all possible."

Dionysus did not demand it, and he knew it was unlikely, she was much more skilled at being sneaky than he, but he did have the power of persuasion.

[Mitsuki Park]

His response was the reason for the soft smile that would cross her face. The mere fact that he would offer up his services to aid her was touching, but... Unfortunately:

"You know, more than I, that you are needed here."

But if she was to really go out and search outside the state...

"What areas have you researched?"

What states? It would probably be best to travel at first the neighboring states, Mexico included. In her mind, she had already resolved to travelling alone.

After her meeting with Miss Delilah Black, which she would do after her meeting with Dion was over, she would start her journey. Because to Mitsuki, Miss Black was the future of the allied forces, and she just wanted to get permission to speak as a representative if and when she runs into other rebel factions.

[Leon]

Dion would nod, though he didn't hide the worry in his eyes, though he knew she'd be fine.

"I've researched Texas, and Oregon. Not a lot going on in Oregon, more of a small resistance than anything viable, but Texas is full of resistance."

[Mitsuki Park]

"Texas will be my first stop, then."

...she had a feeling...she would be spending a lot of time there. Texas, like California, was a large state.

She knew the worry in his eyes, but she would not address it. She could not promise her safety in another state- because, whereas in California, her reputation and connections could keep her from harm, in Texas...she was unknown; might be seen as a potential threat, or even a small fly.

"I'll visit you upon my return."

As if to ease his nerves. But then- there was always the possibility of her not returning.

On a more light-hearted subject:

"Are you going to the wedding?"

It was apparently the biggest wedding of the year.

[Mr. Kaar]

Dionysus would nod along and smile when she changed the subject.

"Of course, going to host it at my official temple. Not like the apartment where I actually stay, but pretty nice."
