"Watch your ellipses of the bottle, don't make them too pointy on the ends or it will flatten your bottle. Nice work." Went the main critique of her professor… Well, Emily nodded and was thankful. This kinda stuff could be useful in her artbook requests too.

Emily waited a bit then, letting the thing dry before she started again. Well, the bottle was already done – and the only thing left was redefining the lines to make it a lot more pretty and… not flat. A darker colour was laid out for the bottle outline… then the shadows something a little darker than the background.
The girl began to paint the flower, careful to not go beyond her outlines but have her strokes look as natural as possible. The petals first, then the green leaves and stalk; using different brushes for each colour so that they wouldn’t mix. Of course, she let it dry before she did anything else. Well, while it was let dry, Emily stared at it for a few minutes. Certainly she wanted to make it look simple but presentable. She guessed it wasn’t too bad for an artist who barely used watercolours for her artwork.
Now for the highlights on the bottle… she added a bit of the paint she used with the white paint she intended to use, hoping that it would make the colours of the bottle at least somewhat consistent and so that the overall mood of the painting wasn’t conflicting… if you get what I mean, that is.

Emily sighed and smiled. Wow, she was finally done. Now to make sure it dries off without getting dust caught in the wet paint.
