Theme Song: Memories of the SchoolPublic High School #259. Years ago, a building once stood tall, now, all that was left were ruins and piles of rubble. In front of the destroyed building however, stood a motionless figure looking up at what remained of the building, standing out quite clearly among the dust and destruction. Kaori nestled in his arms and sleeping peacefully, her tiny hand lightly latched onto his Sky Force jacket, Kazuya would continue to stare contemplatively at the shadow of the former high school he once attended... Public High School #259. Memories, both joyful and melancholic, came flooding back to him, almost like it was yesterday. Even though he was fully aware the ruins of 259 were smack dab in the middle of Barker's territory, Kazuya had to come back here one last time, not only for himself... but for Kaori too. He had to bring her to the school where her mother was once the School Captain and a Pillar alongside her father.

The last time Olesya had visited the ruins that were once her school, she and Delilah had been ambushed by Barker's soldiers. This time, however, instead of a regular bicycle, she rode her rebuilt motocross bike to outrun anyone if they tried to pursue her. She wouldn't be caught unprepared again.
She returned because in her haste she had left her pack on the ground, choosing safety over her belongings. It didn't contain too much, but the backpack had been her staple ever since "Fate" happened, and since she was down this way doing negotiations for the Dragons, she figured she should swing by really quick. Approaching the ruins, she eased off the throttle, letting the bike coast to a stop. Black ballet shoed feet touched the ground gently, the black ribbons lacing up her legs to her knees. On her back was David's coat, open and billowing slightly behind her. Underneath she wore black leggings cut off at the knees and a black v-cut tshirt. Her head was encased in a silver helmet, the visor down hiding her features.
She caught sight of a figure among the rubble, his profile to her. He had something in his arms but she wasn't close enough to tell what it was. He was looking at the ruins quite solemnly, nostalgically? He didn't appear to be a threat, but with the last encounter in this place on her mind, she wasn't overly eager to sat hello.

At the sound of an engine coming up from somewhere to his side, Kazuya would turn his head slightly to look over, Kaori cradled in his left arm, while his right hand hovered over his motorcycle keys in his jacket pocket, his motorcycle parked nearby, but hidden from view by a tall pile of rubble. His eyes narrowing slightly at the helmeted figure, it was apparent the figure was female, but aside from that, from this distance, he could not recognize the familiar clothing she wore. His guard up, for all he knew, she could be one of Sean Barker's men, and with Kaori with him, he was in full-on Papa Wolf mode.
"... Identify yourself."
Curt perhaps, but until he knew for certain she was friend or foe, pleasantries could come later.

Olesya flipped up the visor of her helmet just as a voice reached her ears.
"... Identify yourself."
So he was on his guard as much as Olesya was. He didn't appear to be familiar, she hadn't seen him around the Dragon compound as far as she knew. Barker's men didn't generally travel alone, and they usually struck first and asked questions later. That didn't mean it wasn't a trap.
"Are you a friend or for of the man named Barker?"
She asked, the same defensive demanding tone in her voice. She kept her hands to her sides, both visibly empty. She kept her helmet on to hide her tell-tale stark white hair. If he was one of Barker's men, he would recognize her right away as an experiment. Better to remain anonymous until she knew where his loyalties lied.

"... I am a Dragon, I am no friend to the man named Sean Barker. And you? Are you a friend or foe?"
His arm continuing to stay wrapped protectively around Kaori, hiding her from view and if it came down to it, using his own body to shield her from harm, his baby daughter would continue to sleep away, blissfully unaware of the stare down occurring.

"Ryem, vneaht." Hail, friend.
The words did not flow from her tongue as easily as they did David's or Mathew's, but she was taught that greeting to both identify herself as aligned with the Dragons, and to ensure that whomever claimed they were a Dragon could be proven such. Not that she didn't trust him but...no, she didn't trust him. But then again she didn't trust anyone.
Olesya opened her palms toward him in a peaceful gesture, before raising them to pull the helmet off her head. A bob of stark white hair flashed in the sunlight, sticking up all disheveled-like from being in the helmet. Her hair was a dead giveaway to her experimentation...who naturally had white hair? It wasn't natural. It was a result of the chemicals forced into her blood stream by Barker and his insane cohorts.
"I too, am no friend to man who ruined my life."

"Ryem, vammuf Tnykuh."
She was right not to trust him, with Barker spies skulking around Dragon Territory as of late, but considering he spoke the language, and rather fluently, he was able to back up his declaration of being a Dragon. That, and the Dragon patch on the sleeve of his shirt was proof enough. Bowing his head slightly, he would not recognize the figure as Olesya Van deBogart, the girl from the soccer practice his former best friend, Matrim Gallagher organized back at Public High School #42, but simply as Olesya Van deBogart, The Voice of the Storm Dragon.
"... Then we are not enemies, but allies. Kazuya Hikari, Captain of The Sky Force Training and Combat Readiness Division."
Turning his body slightly to the left to display the Dragon patch sewn onto the right sleeve of his dark blue long sleeved shirt, he would then make direct eye contact with her, her hair reminding him very much of...
"... Your hair color reminds me very much of a girl I loved... and still do... Sacricia Emily Lourdes E. Delos Santos..."

Her posture relaxed ever so slightly as he proved himself as a Dragon with both his response and the patch on his arm. Olesya was wearing David's coat, the hem dancing around her calves as they stood facing each other. She herself was not a full-fledged Dragon, but representing the Storm Dragon as his Voice. She in turn moved her shoulder to flash her matching badge. Like he said, they were among allies.
Hikari...the name sounded familiar, but her memory from high school was blurred from the facilities' chemicals and her own self medication.
"Olesya Van deBogart. Voice of the Storm Dragon. I've seen your Sky Force, saved my butt not too long ago."
She clenched her fist over her heart and nodded her head respectfully. If it hadn't been for his team, there was a good chance that Delilah and herself would have died on these ruins they stood on now.
Her painful nostalgia was brought to a screeching halt at the long name falling from the man's mouth. She'd only heard the girl's formal name a handful of times, as she was generally referred to as...
"Emily."
She breathed, a shocked look on her face. Olesya never thought she'd hear that name again, much less from a man who claimed to be related to her so intimately.
"She was my best friend. We were friends of circumstance, we met in the facility. The same chemicals that turned her hair white...turned mine. I was her Varsity Captain my junior year, before all hell broke loose."

"... Yes, I remember, we met in the battle against the Lion. There was no time for pleasantries, so I was unable to ask for your name back then."
Shifting Kaori so she was cradled in his left arm, he would clench his own right fist over his heart in return, a noticeably sorrowful look appearing in his eyes hearing Olesya say her name. It had been hard enough saying Emily's name himself, but to hear someone else say it, and her best friend no less, stabbed Kazuya straight and true through his heart.
"... I was her boyfriend, we met back at Public High School #42 during our Junior year, though she knew me as Ryuu, and a fellow Pillar at Public High School #259, before she disappeared during my Senior year. She and I... are also the mother and father of our baby daughter... Kaori."
Shifting his arm slightly, his sleeping baby daughter would come into view, her hair color matching her mother's, and though her eyes couldn't been seen, were the exact same color as Emily. Kaori was essentially, a miniature and younger looking Emily.

"Ah....yes. The cowardly lion. We were in way over our heads, there was too much going on for me to see exactly who had come to our aid."
She agreed, nodding seriously. She hadn't even meant to get into trouble that day, but the reality of the world is that trouble could find you anywhere. Nowhere was truly safe, except maybe within the walls of Dragon territory.
Olesya's kaleidoscope eyes widened as the caught sight of the baby in his arms. Kaori...he was holding Emily's daughter. Did that mean?
"A beautiful name for a beautiful daughter. ...Where's Emily?"
She asked, multicolored eyes glancing around as if Emily might step out from around the corner. Maybe she'd gone exploring, maybe she was getting something for Kaori, maybe...

Olesya would see Kazuya's expression noticeably drop, a small sad smile on his face... and a hint of longing hidden in his eyes.
"... She's gone. If you want to see her, her grave is located in London, England."
If only Emily had gone exploring, or had gone to get something for Kaori, or most of all, was going to step out from around the corner, but she wasn't, and never will. Seems like Kazuya has been the bearer of bad news for quite a few people regarding Emily now...

The news hit her like a punch in the chest. Emily was dead...of course in this world they lived in, there were bound to be those who didn't make it, for lack of a better term. The bombings alone killed many people, possibly even her family, many people were missing or dead. She never thought that strong, intelligent Emily would have been among them.
"How?"
The syllable fell from her mouth before she was able to filter herself. Certainly it pained him to talk about it, but the girl's eyes fell to the bundle in the man's arms. The baby was still incredibly young, Emily's death must have been recent. That meant that Emily hadn't met her Fate with the bombs, but something, or someone else must have taken her life. And she had to know.

"... She was killed not only from the illness she had been afflicted with for years, but also from being stabbed through her eye... all the way through her occipital lobe."
Though it visibly pained Kazuya to have to say it again, there was also a hint of relief in his tone, relief that Emily no longer was subjected to suffering further. But that did not, by no means, make it hurt any less, and the longing he had that she was still alive and around, to watch her baby daughter grow up.

"Rumo ramm.."
Olesya immediately censored herself as she was known to do around her young ward. Granted, a curse word was a curse word whether it was in English or Dragonspeak, but at least it added that bit of a buffer. The woman's mouth fell open, and she was silent for a moment before tilting her head down and closing her eyes...a moment of silence for her fallen friend.
She cleared her throat before speaking again, having felt it close slightly with constricted emotion.
"She was a strong and wonderful woman. She will be missed."
Inwardly, Olesya contemplated the second part to Emily's death. Stabbed through the eye? By whom? Whoever had drawn the last breath from her best friend would pay for it, if they were still alive to.
"Anyway, we both know it isn't safe here. I don't want you getting caught in trouble with your daughter under your care. Do you want an escort back to the territory?"
She asked. It was more for respect than thinking he needed protection. As the Sky Fleet Commander he was more than capable of handling any thugs he came across, but the addition of his daughter could complicate things quickly. It would be rude not to offer her services.

"... She has already been missed..."
As if on cue, feeling movement in his left arm, Kazuya would look down and see Kaori stirring from sleep, sleepy eyes blinking drowsily up at her daddy, as Kazuya smiled slightly sadly down at her, gently brushing a few stray strands of her hair away from her face. Kaori catching sight of Olesya, she would immediately latch onto her daddy's Sky Force jacket, burying her face in the thin leather jacket.
"... It would be an honor to have The Voice of the Storm Dragon as an escort. But surely you did not come here just to provide an impromptu accompaniment back to Dragon Territory, you must have had a very good and logical reason for coming to an area wrought with constant danger."
