The dirt didn't even affect the blood double as it jumped onto Zax punching him in the gut and then pinning him so that he couldn't move. Then he would move his hand next to Zax's throat where it became a blade. Zax had lost.
"Hmmm... You failed. Do you know why you failed?"
The fiend would get off of Zax and would go and stand next to Rai.

Zax would cough a little. "No. Because I just absolutely sucked?" Zax said rubbing his throat.

"No its because you're too cocky. You don't take the opportunities given to you, instead you gloat or try make jokes. That is well and good but you need to know when its time to be serious."

"Yes, sir," Zax said. For the first time, he understood. He used his modo too much, he had noticed. "You're right. I'm sorry, sir," Zax said as he got down on one knee bowing. "Sir, I think I should do that over again. I sucked. Let me do it over. I promise I will do better," Zax said still on one knee, looking at the ground.

Rai looked at his apprentice. Maybe this wasn't a failure after all...
"One day I will make you face him again. But for now..."
Rai willed the blood fiend to go back into the mansion, and he pulled out a small white golfball sized fruit.
"This is for you. If you eat it you will unlock your Qi, and you will even get a few boosts, BUT be warned, this is called a gamble fruit. The reason being is if you eat this fruit there is a chance it can make you stronger, but there is also a chance it could do something bad to you. For instance my uncle has gone blind because of the fruits power."

"Mmm, that's sucks. Hang on," Zax said. He held out to fingers and then whispered to himself, "Inny minny miny moe, catch a tiger by it's toe. My moth-er says you are not it," he stopped as soon as he touched one finger. "I'll take it," Zax said as he ate it.
Then he squeezed his eyes waiting for something to happen...

The fruit was the most delicious thing Zax had ever eaten.
Zax Takes 10% more damage from physical non Qi based attacks!
Zax When making physical contact with nature, he has slight rejuvenation and healing but the nature dies!
Zax gains a Sixth sense (spider sense)!
Zax's Qi is unlocked!

"That was good! I don't feel anything. Any more?" Zax asked. "Ooh! Flower!" Zax would say reaching down to touch a little daisy. "Maybe this will cheer you up," Zax said while bending over.
When he touched it, it whithered and died. A little cut he had gotten from the glass in his training suddenly healed.
"Oookaaay, that was weird. Do you know what that was about?" Zax asked looking at the scratch.

"Hmmm, Well I am by no means an expert but it looks as though plants can heal you, at the cost of their own lives... Hmmm."
Rai cracked his neck and began to walk towards the house.
"When you are ready to begin your next training come and find me, for now I am going to go and rest."
