It was dark, cold and rainy outside, various flashes of lightning could be seen about twice a minute. Yachiru was shivering, walking down the road, she hadn't eaten in 3 days, she was feeling very weak and wasn't sure if she could make it or not. Off in the distance she saw a man eating a loaf of bread next to a campfire. He was wearing a long black robe, and he was also under an onning which was keeping him and the fire dry. He wasn't looking around, he was just focusing on his meal.
Yachiru was soo hungry...there wasn't anything else she could have thought to do... She looked closer, the man seemed to be in his late 80s at the youngest, an easy mark, but a tough decision, rob him or die...
She had a short knife on her, enough to kill someone but that was not her goal, she just wanted something to eat. She quietly snuck up behind the man, he footsteps easily covered by the rain and lightning, She pulled out the dagger, carefully waiting for the right time to strike. The man leaned over to grab another loaf out of his baf whenever she decided it was time, she forced the blade into his back three times, his skin pulled back like a banana peel. it was almost too easy. The man groaned aloud as he slumped over onto the ground. unfortunately Yachiru didn't know what she was doing...she had killed the old man. She paid no heed to him as she was so hungry, she went straight over to his bag where she found bread, enough for a week! two if she rationed it out thin enough!
After she had finished almost an entire loaf of bread she looked back to the man laying on the ground, his eyes open, and lifeless, no breathing, no movement, He just layed there, stale. She started crying immediately, she didn't mean to kill him but she was soo hungry!!
"I'm sorry!" She cried aloud. "I'm soo sorry mister, are you ok?!" She quickly jumped down off her seat over to the man, grabbed one of his shoulders and started to shake him fiercely. "Mister please wake up! PLEASE! I'M SORRY!!! I DIDN'T MEAN TO!!!" After about five minutes she gave up, her tears would be hard to see behind the rain, but she was crying heavily. This man had done nothing to her, he didn't deserve to die, and yet...there he was.
Her mind was obviously not in the fight, as the knee hit her stomach and man eye's from her memory flashed in her own eyes. Why had she needed to kill him? it was just an accident! she was innocent and yet all the pain and guilt from killing him wore heavily on her heart. God she was soo sorry....
She stumbled backwards and shook her head side to side, and readied back into a fighting stance. Her stomach hurt, but at least she got in a hit too.
