David was not moved by the spike- he didn't even look at it. He abruptly leaned away, looking down into her eyes.
"That's a foolish way of thinking. Cooperation and surrender are different. The point is- as long as you are alive, you have a chance of escape. Thats the key. To live, so you can end up making a difference. Still- I admire the desire for freedom. It's not something you want to lose. But getting freedom in death is just submitting to a different kind of prison, ya follow?"
He suddenly noticed the blotches on her cheeks and grinned. He would float the knife back in his boot before reaching up and taking a little strain of hair from her face.
"Well, look what we have here. That redness isn't from excersize, is it?"
He would laugh before flying up and off her, backflipping to his feet. He would stick his hands in his pockets and wait.
"Since you find battle so... Cheekwarming, lets continue, shall we?"

She nodded, begrudingly, and the spike receeded. "Hai, I follow."
Then he grinned down at her, with that smug little look of his. He brushed a strand of hair off her face and she reddened even more. Oh, God, he noticed! This was morifying.
Dammit woman, are you in junior high or something?! You're DELILAH-FUCKING-BLACK! Pull yourself together!
"Well, look what we have here. That redness isn't from excersize, is it?"
Any semblance of a witty comeback escaped her. Dammit all. As he flew away, she rolled up to her feet with a slight bounce and a nonchalant cough. Because, nope, that didn't bother her at alllllll. And neither did the speed of her heart pattering against her ribcage and the light feeling in her head or the recent memory of his hard, muscular body pressed against h--
NOPE, NOT EVEN WORTH MENTIONING.
"Ready when you are. You ass," she grinned, in spite of trying not to, laughing at herself silently.

He would walk to her- thats right, walk.
"Or we could....i don't know..."
When he got cvery close, hands still in pockets, he would lean over, very slowly, so as not to show he was a threat. She would be able to feel the warmth of his body as his lips would gently press against hers. Soft, crisp.
He would pull her against him, hand cupping her cheek. At the end of it he would gently shift her body back-
- and would follow this up by a swift uppercut, hitting with enough strength to take her off her feet but not knock her out or damage her severely. If it worked, he would take a deep or two, steadying his own pulse. He taught this lesson to Olesya, a long time ago.
"Emotion in battle has no place, it drags down your gaurd. Your enemy may try to shock you, just like this. It happened to me once. Remember the lesson- a kiss isn't the only way to distract."
He would wait for her, if it all worked, to come to her feet before blitzing forward for a right cross, trying to take his own mind off the feel of her.

"Or we could....i don't know..."
She looked at him suspiciously as he walked closer to her, her cheeks reddening. Part of her felt like she should pop him one for making her feel this way, but there was something about his eyes and the way he looked at her, in how close their bodies wereVERYSUDDENLY--
His lips on hers. His...David was kissing her? What even...she had no words. Her body responded for her, easing into it almost shyly, letting herself be drawn against him and then pushed away slightly as the contact ended, fireworks going off in her eyes.
"Um..."
WHAM!!
Up she went, and though it was painless, it was no less jarring to go from zero to sixty in precisely half a second. Her body moved forwards, her hands hitting the ground behind her head as she performed a hand spring to get back to her feet. Positively crimson now. And a little pissed.
"Emotion in battle has no place, it drags down your guard. Your enemy may try to shock you, just like this. It happened to me once. Remember the lesson- a kiss isn't the only way to distract."
"I don't let most enemies KISS ME, ASS," she glowered. He sped towards, her--such an alarming rate of incoming; but the blow had cleared her mind and she was thinking with cool, crisp thoughts.
She would slip to the inside of his attack, on his left, aiming a driving knee strike for the outside of his thigh for a charlie horse, followed by a vicious chop to the front of his throat with the side of her hand, to make it a bit harder to breathe.

He responded swiftly.
"Maybe not- they might do something more or less diabolical."
He would grunt from the knee hitting but would simply lift his right arm to catch her chop. He would snap his other hand into a straight, swift punch for the chin, in an attempt to make her wobbly, if not sit her on her ass entirely. If it connected he wouldn't press it.
"Know this is training clears your head from something like a kiss, and next time I or someone else tries to pull you in like that, it won't work. Because you feel ashamed, embarrassed- eager to fight back. The last one you should be, the others, not so much. Your a great kisser miss Black."
He would offer her a hand up.

She fell back as his fist connected with her chin and into a low crouch, rubbing her now tender jaw. Oh, hell, that was gonna be a nasty bruise. Oh well. At least she was done blushing.
....aaannndd then he said she was a great kisser. Oh, hell. She didn't know whether to be pleased or to just kill herself and end the embarrassment now. Neeehhhhhh
Tenatively, and with A LOT more suspicion, Delilah grasped his offered hand by the forearm and got to her feet. "...Thanks."
'THANKS'?!
WELL WHAT ELSE AM I SUPPOSED TO SAY.

He would grin.
"Speaking of which, wanna have another go?"
Was he talking about the fight? Or the kiss?
He would give it a few seconds to cause more of her adorable flustering.

And more of said flustering he would get, with the blushing and the wide blue eyes that were suddenly unable to meet his. Realizing how ridiculous she was being, she laughed uncertainly at herself and ran a hand distractedly over her hair.

Because she couldn't think of anything else to do. Plus, she had learned her lesson. No emotions on the battlefield, not even the ones that she was trying to pretend weren't clouding her mind, along with the memory of their kiss.

David shot into the air as she threw the punch, laughing as he looked down on her from thirty feet above.
"What were you doing here in the first place?"

She looked up at him, smiling a little. "I came to see you. I was looking for a fight and a bit of company.
"And if you didn't FLY all the time, I would have hit you." She mock pouted.

David drifted upside down, chuckling at her mock pout.
"Come up here with me then."

She tilted her head sideways to look up at him with suspicion.
"Yeah, that's one thing I can't just do. And swim. I can't swim. So that's two things."
She looked across herself at a wall nearby, and down at her boots, then back up at him. Still suspicious.
"I don't LIKE falling."

He shrugged.
"Bat those pretty eyes and ask nice and I could help..."
He gave a smile as he started floating lower, waiting.

She laughed, shaking her head. Blushing. AGAIN[/b].
"I don't do simpering."
So, what was the Delilah equivalent?
Staring up at him, she blinked, once, and smiled slightly, almost shyly.
"Please help me."[/size]

His smile widened.
"Ohh... Close enough. You got the pretty eyes and adorable smile down pat. That enough would have won me over."
She would feel a gentle breeze carress her face before swirling down her body and lifting her into the air, bringing her up to his level. He would take her hand and sort of "help" her, though it was an obvious ploy to hold her hand a moment, as his Qi did not require him to touch her (as was shown).
He would roll over onto his back, craning his neck to look at her.
"So- tell me. How is everything?"
