"The manor's just up ahead."
It took some time, but we were about to reach the manor. I mean it was only what like what 10 maybe 15 miles away? We'd only been walking a bit under 2 hours. Dragon guards would salute me as I walked up to the gate. I gave the Dragon Salute back. I liked the saluting, but sometimes it felt a bit too military for my taste.
Walking through the gate, some of the residents would greet me as I entered. While it was nice to have the greeting, sometimes I felt like I wasn't worthy of it, like I'm not a hero. I turned my head backwards to the kid.
"You hungry Kid? Or thirsty?"
