Wasteland Oasis (Clyde's Base)

John thought for a moment finishing on unfucking the truck. Turning towards the Punk, John would take the hand and give a firm shake.

"Deal."

[Abram Dabra]

And the punk shook John's hand, not as firm as John could manage. But the deal was sealed. Well, at least the promise of the deal was sealed. Which was a start.

"How about when you are finished in there we pull out a contract and then I'll show you around. It ain't much, but she is home."

The Punk: i have to say, this is probably one of the funniest characters on the board. The fighting style is inclusive but simplistic, and is a huge joy to read. The only thing i wish could come from this fight was that it was a little longer, because it had me literally miggling. +1 EXP

John Summers: Leon, its always enjoyable to read your fights. You are never afraid to take damage regardless of stats (Some part of me things you like it, you masochist) and you have this way of making a battle feel a lot more epic than it normally would. I like this. +1exp

John would stretch and adjust the mask on his face.

"Sure, sure."

And head over to the pumps. He'd continue working till it was time for contract making.

And The Punk left him to do that as he went inside and wrote up a contract for John to sign. Using one of the pre drawn up contracts that he already had as a base it wouldn't take to terribly long. Only about a half an hour to get it all nice and pretty looking.

"Alright muscle man. Here you go."

He held out the Contract and a pen for John to sign.

The Contract stated in short that by agreeing to operate out of the Wasteland Oasis he agreed to a confidentiality agreement. That any and all clients that he sees working with "The Punk" along with any jobs that he may take are not to be shared with anyone. In accordance to that "The Punk" agrees to the same terms.

Failure on John's part of that agreement will be subject to payment of one "Magic Hammer" and payment on the Punk's part will be subject to a full refund of any funds that he collected from John for sixty days prior to the breech in contract.

Payment for operation costs will equal to no more than one quarter of John's earnings from jobs associated with his work in the Oasis including but not limited to jobs performed on site, jobs that were contracted on site, and jobs delivered on site. In addition to this John agrees to work to maintain the facility as a whole.

John would read it over, smirking under the mask about the magic hammer bit. However he didn't see anywhere, where he would be getting fucked, so he'd sign it.

John was almost done with the pumps anyways. Just holding things in position and melting them back into place them hammering them into perfection took time.

Once the contract was signed the Punk signed it as well before folding it up and tucking it into the many pockets of his vest. He would file away for later. A lot of people felt comfortable signing a contract because with societies collapse many people felt that there was no authority to enforce it. The punk was his own authority. He honored his agreements and if someone went back on a contract he would take what was his.

Really it was just a formality to show that he was an above the board business man. And this was a totally legitimate and not at all shady business. At least in this day and age. And he had full faith in the powers of capitalism and the desires of powerful men to want to maintain that power. That meant one needed rules and laws, and by staying in the habit of working under said rules and laws Clyde planned to stay one step ahead of the competition.

[John]

He'd finish up his work and go to talk to Clyde.

"So what do you do here?"

In other words he's itchin to get started.

[Abram Dabra]

"Whatever I'm hired to do."

The was the long and short of it. He was a mercenary and he wasn't too picky about what jobs he gets to do. As long as it paid then he was interested in at least hearing it out.

"As for my current projects I was finishing up some fixes on Betty there before I was interrupted. And I was putting together a little shopping list for some parts I need to give myself a few upgrades."

No need to really go into more detail on that.

"That and I was thinking up some traps to set around the area just in case some scavengers got the wrong ideas on what they could and could not take."

Ideally really nasty traps.

"What'd you have in mind? Prolly something to do with the gasoline? Since I noticed the truck is empty."

John asked simply.

[Abram Dabra]

"Gasoline has a lot of uses, and I don't need it to power the truck up."

He said moving over to the truck and patting the hood affectionately as the car started right up under his touch. Smooth, despite the battery being dead and the gas tank being empty.

"I got a thing for machines. Always have."

He was the kind of kid that took the remote control apart and put it back together just to understand how it worked. He didn't think much about his ability. It wasn't a spiritual part of him really, it was just a part of who he was. And he was no God or anything other than a man. A man who was really good with machines.

John would fall silent at the implications of the revelation of the guys ability, but would simply outwardly express it as.

"Interesting."

John thought on it some more. The things that could be built in conjunction of the abilities of the hammer and this guys affinity with machines.

"Well if there is a trap in your mind we can probably build it."

[Abram Dabra]

"Yes and now I will need to locate more gasoline. Originally I was planning on creating a fire pit trap but I was in the process of finding a trigger for it that would be subtle enough to go without notice but reliable enough to not falter without me here to power it, and no obvious power source to maintain it."

He cleared his throat.

"But then out of nowhere some spiky haired asshole comes and uses all my gas!"

Granted he fixed the place up, but it was really the principle of the thing.

"I know exactly what you mean. We should find that spikey haired ass hole."

Yeah John knew it was him, he just didn't give a damn.

[Abram Dabra]

"Might be hard though. He likes to wear a mask like some kind of pretentious dick."

Cause Clyde totally didn't keep his face covered. Nope. Totally different. That was to present a persona for his business. Which was completely legit and above the table. Not underhanded at all.
