Rai would now get up towering above Zax. He willed to life a black blood bat and swung it hard enough to knock Zax unconscious. As Zax began to fade into unconsciousness he would hear Rai say.
"Focus on the fire feel the energy..."

Zax wasn't really sure what had happened. He was expecting black, but instead the fire kept burning. In fact, it was brighter. It was also bigger. And now that he thought about it, it felt like it was radiating heat! And for some reason, his bones felt harder...

Zax woke up with a yell and opened his eyes. He was puzzled to see that his master had shoved a bone into each of his wrists. Then Zax noticed that they were connected!
"What the crap just happened?" Zax said turning to Rai, the bones still sticking out of his wrists.

Rai looked over his wrist inspecting the bone.
"Hmmm... It looks as though you can control you're bones."
Rai walked a little bit away from him.
"Come, attack me but focus on that flame you saw earlier, attack me as though you are using the fire."

Zax was still bewildered at the sight of the bone.
"Heh, heh, okay," Zax got up took a deep breath in, then exhaled. He closed while doing this, then opened them to use the bone of the right hand to swing across Rai's face.

Zax would do a sidekick to Rai's face and picture the flame swiftly grow horizontally. That would make a bone shoot out from his foot, making the kick harder.

Rai caught his foot and spun Zax around using his own momentum.

Zax would use the bone he had in his wrist's to stab into the ground and slow him down. He would then go for something more painful and turn the bone into a mace. He would then go for Rai's gut.

Rai covered his hand in blood and caught the mace, then he crushed it, destroying the bone.
"Enough! Impressive to say the least. You may be useful yet. You did a good job, now go rest up. Remember to keep practicing to see what else you can do."

"Yes sir," Zax would say wide-eyed and out of breath. He was still amazed at the sight of the bones. In fact he was examining them as he walked away. He would then go to his room.
